When the cameras stop rolling, their real feelings start showing.

Mikah
Cam life isn’t easy, but money comes and goes almost as fast as I do. So when my company decides to put out a sexy calendar with me as a main attraction, I have to say yes. And when a fan offers me a boatload of cash to shoot with the object of my hatred—Dominic—I can’t refuse that either. But soon enough, who we are on screen starts to blur with what we want offscreen.
Can I keep my eye on the prize? Or will I lose everything I’ve worked so hard for in the name of love?

Dominic
In my line of work, hot guys are a dime a dozen. Working to remain relevant isn’t easy, especially with pretty boys like Mikah from Behind the Lens. The last thing I want is to collaborate, but when Mikah offers me an exorbitant amount of cash to do a calendar shoot, I find myself unable to say no.
Unlike Mikah, I can keep my emotions and my desires in check. It’s just a job for some extra cash, right?
Except the more time I spend with my arch nemesis, the more I realize I’m in too deep.
Is love worth the price of success? Or will my stupid heart destroy more than just our reputations?

This is an MM grumpy/sunshine cam-boy romance.
Sweet Shots is part of the Behind the Lens shared world.

Sweet Shots was steamy af 🥵

The tension and chemistry between Mikah and Dom was off the charts, and I loved their banter and relationship so much.

I was honestly surprised at how angsty and emotional their story was too, because I went in thinking this was going to be just full on smut with no plot 🤣

📸 Hurt/comfort
📸 Hate to love

Sweet Shots was all sexiness, hot as hell cam videos, lots of fucking and cumming, and like zero plot. I don’t know yet if I’m complaining or not… we’ll see.
Spoilers ahead.

“What you’re going to do is be a good little boy and listen to everything I say.” His tone is low, words slow and even. Holy shit, why is it so hot?

Very hot, indeed. Dominic was very delicious — BDE and dominating, but with a sweet caring side. Basically, the perfect boyfriend.
Mikah was the total opposite, a prickly boy who really just needs some hugs. And sex, obvs. I love when the grumpy ones get all melty.

“You going to come all over my cock, baby?”

The spice was filthy and yummy, what you would expect in a camboy romance.
There was a bit of an..unexpected moment that I didn’t mind I guess, but also felt entirely superfluous to the romance?

“Don’t ever leave me,” he mutters. “Everyone always leaves me.”

My biggest issue, though, was the miscommunication that leads to the third act conflict. .
It was such a cliché and overused trope, and it kind of ruined the happy sexy vibes of the rest of the book. I’m not saying there shouldn’t be third act conflicts, because I love a bit of drama, but does it really always have to be this drama? And now I’m being super dramatic, chill girl it’s not that deep.

Moral of the story, I enjoyed this for the super smutty camboy sexiness and not for the plot. And also, can I have a Dominic?

As long as Dominic sticks around, I’ll know I’m something. Because at the very least, I’m his.

I really enjoyed this story. Two cam boy neighbours that hated each other, then start collabing, and falling in love. Mikah and Dominic had the perfect dynamic. Mikah was the bratty sub who suffered from insecure voices in his head that were planted there by his mother, and Dominic was this dominant, carefree guy who wanted to take care of Mikah and was the only person who could keep the voices quiet.

Despite all the Mikah’s issues, Dominic loved him and was set on telling and showing him how much whenever he could. Both were really jealous and possessive of each other so that one MMM scene was wild but oh so hot. These two had great smutty chemistry.

There was quite a lot on inner dialogue in this versus actual communication. Things that should have been spoken about were skipped over and I wish we had more scenes of them actually filming together, I don’t think there was enough of that.

Overall, this was a great read and I think anyone who likes reading about cam boys would enjoy this one.

I was not expecting this book to be so emotional! It was absolutely beautiful, I loved it! The start was so fun. Enemies and grumpy x sunshine vibes. The spice was so hot too!

I really loved the growth of the characters. There’s a lot of trauma and healing in the book. There’s angst too and drama. Mikah and Dominic are just amazing for eachother. Also, I love Captain Fluffy Paws.

Sweet and spicy

This is the first book I've read by this author but it's think it's safe to say I'll be reading more by them. I love a good adult content creator book with a hostile relationship that looked and felt like hate but wasn't. Dominic is my favorite but he and Mikah together are fire! Both men create adult content. Dominic is more dominant and thrives on making videos with other men and taking charge on his couch whereas Mikah makes solo content. He also makes videos of himself doing mundane things at home naked but he doesn't show his face. Both men have experienced rough childhoods but while Dominic had a great mom who loved and did everything to give him a happy life, Mikah had an abusive one who never treated him well or cared about anything beyond herself and her vices. Their childhoods affected them differently and it shows in adulthood. Dominic was miserable for a while but knew his mom wouldn't want him to live like that so he worked on himself and decided to have fun, be free, and make choices that made him happy. Sadly, Mikah has more triggers and issues than he'd want to admit. He has a hard time trusting anyone and has a hard time with money because he doesn't spend money unless necessary and he always wants a fallback plan so he won't ever have to live a life of squalor ever again. But one day he finds out that his identity was stolen and his savings wiped out which sends him into a spiral until his boss gives him a great opportunity for a calendar shoot to make some money and another man offers 100k for him to collaborate on a video with none other than Dominic. Doesn't sound too bad right? Except for Mikah, it is because Dominic happens to be his neighborhood and he didn't know he made adult content. He also hates him and thinks he's annoying and arrogant but he's desperate enough after a while to go over and talk to him about what he thinks. The rest is history. The more time they spend together making videos and doing the calendar shoot Dominic starts to see things in Mikah that Mikah tries his best to hide. Dominic is intrigued with the way Mikah responds to him and he starts to think there could be something there if Mikah would just get out of his own way. Slowly but surely Mikah starts to open himself up a bit and can admit that he didn't ever really hate Dominic but he was intimidated. He starts to see the man Dominic really is behind the lens and beyond the shared fence of their homes. Together they start something scary but beautiful and with so much promise. Mikah still has his issues but Dominic and being around him gives him the confidence to face things he once hid behind or ignored. Dominic was so damn patient but firm the whole time. He never wavered and he was always honest and open with Mikah even when it was hard for him. I loved them together so much and damn were their sex scenes some of the hottest I've read in a while. Not only that but their love was pretty inspiring and you can see plain as day that they're meant to be. I enjoyed this book a lot but when it came to chapters 32 to 39 I was honestly so pissed off. *LITTLE BIT OF A SPOILER* Now I will say I hate separations between MCs and third act break ups but sometimes they're needed and I can see why the author went this route with this book because even though they're in love Mikah did still have things he had to work on before they could ever work and I can support that and understand how Dominic contributed to Mikah having some hurt feelings BUT the way the separation happened made me LIVID. It may just be me but what Mikah did was not okay. I loved the parts where they found each other again but the way it happened sucked and I don't feel like there was enough resolution, accountability, or groveling done on Mikah's part as it was only talked about but not shown and I felt like I needed that as I liked Mikah a little less because of it but of course Dominic being his green flag self didn't hold it against him for long which made me love him more. Other than that I had so much fun reading this and being a part of their love story. Now onto Storm's HEA!

Mikah and Dominic are characters from a shared world but this is their very own and unique story. It is an angsty story with plenty of great moments as well as some that will have your heart cracking in two, feeling for them both equally. Their HEA may be hard won but the journey is amazing. Penny Fox ensures that we, as readers, know both characters inside out. From their own perspective and that of the other. These men are antagonistic towards one another owing to their own insecurities and some stereotypes which they manage to break through. Their story is one that had me hooked, it is explicit, very little is held back making it hot and steamy but it is also a story that comes from a place of love, of a desire to dive into alternative lifestyles and show how healing they can be and how amazing people are once we see past their walls.

Mikah has a new neighbour, well new-ish. He moved into this town, this house, looking for a quiet and friendly neighbourhood where he could easily continue to do his job for Behind the Lens, as a cam boy. When his elderly neighbour died Dominic moved in and the two have been antagonistic to one another ever since. Mikah is convinced Dominic is a dodgy dealer but right now he has another problem, someone has stolen his identity and all his money. He has a best friend back home, a home he never wants to return to after the abuse he received as a child, who is happy to help but it could be finally talking to Dominic which is the catalyst that changes his world. He just needs to get himself back on track, get this situation sorted and deal with his issues. Simple? No. Doable. Possibly.

Dominic loves his job, as a cam boy, working for himself, he makes a lot of money. He loves to spend his money too but he is happy with this new home, with the neighbourhood he has moved into and he does enjoy antagonising his neighbour. Honestly though, he wants to know more about the man who lives next door so when Mikah stands on his doorstep offering a proposition of course he is interested but of course he still wants to play his role as the bad boy, he still wants to antagonise. Yet there is something else, underneath all of that, something he is not sure he wants to admit to, after all he is a dominant, he likes to be in charge, likes to ensure his life is working as he wants it to. He wants things on his terms. Will listening to the proposition that Mikah has change that or will it be something that turns out to be the best thing ever for them both?

This story is an immersive read, it is fascinating, interesting, incredibly sexy and opens up a world that I have read about before but not from this angle (pardon the pun). It is very very steamy but it also tackles some challenging and difficult issues. It will have you fanning yourself, have your heart growing, breaking and then being healed, all in the very best ways. This is an unmissable read.

I seriously love Penny Fox. Every time she releases a book, I know my weekend is OVER. Rest? Relaxation? Nope. No relief in sight until I completely binge my way through one of Penny's books, and this is no exception.

I love grumpy/sunshine. I love polar opposites. I love a little bit of kink and I love MM. Sweet Shots delivers ALL OF THAT and more.

If you have read Bad At Love (which I have), you have already met Mikah and Dominic, so I was really excited to dive into Sweet Shots and see more of these two. I was hooked from page one, up until two am last night, needing to know how this addicting story ends.

Penny does a phenomenal job of balancing the sexy and the sweet. It's wild to think about the juxtaposition of who these men are--adult entertainment content creators-- and who they are behind the camera. The spice is...well, let's just say you will be severely dehydrated by some of these scenes, that is for sure! But apart from the dirty, spicy moments, the meat of the story lies in Mikah's road to self acceptance and facing his traumas in a healthy way.

Beneath the sex (and these dudes get it on a lot and I am not complaining) is understanding. Comfort. Stability. Every spicy scene is carefully constructed to show how healing a D/S dynamic can be for both parties involved. Even in the SPOILER ALERT MMM scene, those things come through vibrantly.

It is worth noting that Penny has mentioned there are TWs for mention of a parent dying of cancer, so as someone who lost a parent to cancer, I was interested to see how this panned out. I felt those parts were done pretty well, and for me, I wasn't triggered or bothered at all, and in fact, thought the added layer cast great insight into the character who had dealt with that. It was relateable, which is what you want from a character in the first place. Kudos to Penny for writing layered, interesting characters who I always have trouble saying goodbye to when I close the book.

If I could give this one 15, 20 stars I would. Absolutely perfect!

Two men with somewhat similar upbringing take life in two opposite ways

I think this is my favorite so far in the Behind the Lense collection. This storyline touches on two men who are content creators. Mikah is an employee of Behind the Lens while Dominic does all of his work on his own. These men are similar but also absolutely opposites. However, together they are absolute fire.

Mikah grew up poor always worried about his next meal and dealing with a very hateful mother. As an adult Mikah does everything he can do he will never have to be that poor boy again. However, this all manifests with a lot of anxiety and self doubts. When the worst thing possible happens and he ends up with his identity and all of his money stolen he will be forced to make a connection with his neighbor whome he absolutely hates.

Dominic also grew up poor but his mother loved him as long as she was alive. He was lucky when he ended up in foster care with an amazing family. He makes adult videos and collects things he was never able to have growing up. When his weird neighbor shows up with an unexpected proposition he finds himself intrigued but wanting to challenge the man.

The dynamic between these men so so freaking hot and also super sweet. Dominic finds himself wanting to care for Mikah as well as dominate him. Mikah finds that when he is with Dominic he is able to let go of those voices of self doubt and fear. He wants to be taken care of and it gives her m something he never expected to get.

The spicy scenes in this are absolute perfection and so so spicy. This is all MM content and they do have a threesome with another man at one point and that was complete combustion.

This book really dealt with all the doubts, fears, regrets, anxiety, overwhelming feelings, and character growth. Dominic learns a lot about himself but what Mikah discovers and feels is absolutely beautiful and brutal.

I can't wait to see what's next in this collection because every book has been absolutely fantastic.

Wow I have no words for this wonderful story of Mikah's and Dominic. They both are independent adult content workers, but both entirely different in their approach to what their content entails. Dominic is everything Mikah hates in a man. Arrogant, sexy, flamboyant...did I say sexy!! Yeh Mikah loathed that this man lived next door to him with a revolving door of men that kept coming and going! There was a lot to hate, according to Mikah...plus he was sexy!!
When his identity is stolen, Mikah goes in a tail spin. Being on the wrong side of poverty, everything he had he kept close especially money.
Being offered to do a calendar shoot, with Dominic, he accepted, but was unsure how to ask. But he needed this job to recoup the money lost from his bank account.
Mikah, having a case of high anxiety and suffered from depression, was on the verge of collapse when a fan reached out and wanted adult content with both Mikah and Dominic.
Now Mikah needed desperately to ask a favour!!
This is the beginning of a true love story with lots of twists. and on Mikah's side of things Jealousy prevails at every turn!
Due to Mikah's anxiety, he was unable to believe that Dominic was truly showing an interest in him, as he felt that he was not worthy.
I was an emotional wreck reading about Mikah and his story. The storytelling by Penny Fox was outstanding. He was truly so wrapped up in his head that he found suspicion in everything, but Dominic knew from very early on that Mikah was his!
You will love the devotion Dominic placed in his relationship with Mikah, understanding his ways and realising that Mikah needed him., even though he didn't realise it yet! And oh boy, the heat of these two on the pages....was HOT!!
A great story with a big twist in it that has you reeling back in horror as Mikah runs away from all things Dominic! Nooooo....is all I could think as some stories don't have a HEA, but Dominic fights for what he wants and then sits back and waits for Mikah to make his move!
A very entertaining 5 stars from me. Well done Penny Fox, Well done!!

This was my first Penny Fox book, so I went into it without having any expectations. I'm not saying I wasn't expecting it to be good, just that I didn't want to set it up for failure. Haa, as if this book could ever be that. Jokes on me... but not really, cuz I found an amazing book. AMAZING.

Ahhh, these two. Micah and Dominic truly were made for each other. I swear I don't think they could've found a better match.

Micah is a complex character with a lot of issues, which is understandable after the life he had... He is surviving, not truly living his life, but he's trying. Everything changes tho' the day his new a**hole neighbor moves into the house next door. In the beginning, he doesn't realize it, but that man will change his whole life, and that moment in time was the beginning of his life as he new it, in the best way possible.

Dominic is the exact opposite to Micah. He is outgoing, flirty, and carefree. He takes life seriously, but compared to Micah, it looks like he isn't. He had his eyes on his s*xy neighbor since the first moment he laid eyes on him, and he loved getting under his skin.

Their story starts when Micah's worst nightmare came true, and as they say, the rest is history. They started spending time together for their job, and in that time, Dominic infiltrated himself into Micah's life in a permanent way. I don't think he realized he was doing that in the beginning, but what chance did he have? For real now... I loved how Dominic accepted that Micah was his end game and how he accepted him, flaws and all.

As I said, they were made for each other, and you'll see that in every chapter you read from this book.

I loved reading this book, it was funny, it was hawt, it makes you think... it a beautiful love story between two souls that lost a lot, but found love in the most unexpected way, in the most unexpected place.

I will for sure re-read it at some point. I loved it too much.

10/10.

Fun from beginning to end!

I seriously loved the tension between Mikah and Dominic. Right from the beginning, you knew their love/hate, enemies to lovers vibe was going to push them into another stratosphere and boy did it not disappoint! Their chemistry was off the charts and there was something so perfect about the two of them together that had me swooning from beginning to end. Dominic's dominance was such a great contract to Mikah's submissive nature that I found myself wanting more and more each time. I loved seeing their scene at BTL and was secretly hoping that something would go off the rails there so we could see something completely out of control but what did happened worked perfectly with the story and by the time they both realized their need to be around each other- fireworks! Plus, throw in Storm and that whole situation and OMG!

Despite the fact that I am a true enemies to lovers girlie, what I found I loved most about this story was Mikah's journey to letting his past go. I think his journey from losing his complete sense of comfort and freedom (at least in his mind) in the beginning, to the end when he realizes that he can have everything he wanted was so beautifully done. I loved how Dominic recognized his struggles right from the beginning, even without knowing the entire story, and was so willing to be the person to help Mikah realize that he didn't have to be trapped in past. That he deserved to have all of the happiness in the world, he just needed to get out of his own head to be able to grab life by the horns and live it without the fear that was holding him back.

Slam dunk in this world, great ready by Penny Fox and I will certainly be adding my more by her to my TBR!

This installment of the Behind the Lens collection has quickly become my favorite. The story revolves around two content creators, Mikah and Dominic, who, despite their similarities, are polar opposites. Together, their chemistry ignites like wildfire.

Mikah’s upbringing was marred by poverty and a harsh mother, driving him to succeed and ensure he never faces that struggle again. However, this determination comes with a heavy toll—anxiety and self-doubt. When his worst nightmare unfolds and he loses his identity and finances, he finds himself reluctantly connecting with his neighbor, whom he despises.

Dominic, on the other hand, also faced a challenging childhood but was fortunate enough to experience love from his mother and a wonderful foster family. As an adult, he channels his past into creating adult content and collecting items he longed for as a child. When his eccentric neighbor approaches him with a surprising offer, Dominic feels both intrigued and challenged.

The dynamic between Mikah and Dominic is incredibly compelling—intensely passionate yet genuinely tender. Dominic's desire to nurture and dominate Mikah allows him to shed his insecurities, while Mikah discovers a sense of care he never anticipated.

The spicy scenes are nothing short of spectacular; the MM content is sizzling, and a particularly steamy threesome adds to the story's explosive energy.

This book masterfully navigates themes of doubt, anxiety, and personal growth. Dominic undergoes significant self-discovery, while Mikah's journey is both beautiful and brutally honest.

I'm eagerly looking forward to the next installment in this collection, as each book has been nothing short of exceptional.

This is a MM, enemies to lovers story that I was happy to find it was much more than I thought it would be!

Mikah and Dominic are neighbours with much more in common than they realize. Mikah initially dislikes Dominic very much and Dominic likes to wind up his high-strung neighbour just as much.

When Mikah is presented with the calendar opportunity, he’s not totally comfortable, but money issues make it so that he can’t pass it up. When the extra twist of being offered a huge sum of money to do a cam show with his naughty neighbour, he’s finds himself in a position where he can’t turn it down. Dominic is game to help out Mikah, but only if they do a video for his own platform.

Slowly, they realize they are more alike than they assumed and there is much more attraction and compatibility between them than they ever imagined. They are accepting of their differences and their “weaknesses” and work together to support each other.

Mikah keeps his issues very close to the chest and has a hard time opening up about his issues and insecurities, but Dominic isn’t put off and helps Mikah so much to get through his problems. It isn’t always perfect and there are some mistakes and miscommunication that leads to Mikah going down the wrong path and that causes problems for them, but be assured that it does end with a HEA.

MM reads aren’t usually my thing. I don’t mind them, but don’t actively seek them out. However, I really loved this story! I went through so many emotions. I got frustrated with Mikah a few times, Dominic made me laugh and roll my eyes a time or two and more than once, my heart was in my throat and I felt such heartache for them. I was completely lost in their world and they were a joy to read their love unfold and blossom.

First and foremost, I want to thank Penny Fox for writing an MM Romance where any trauma in the character’s past was not due to their sexuality/orientation. Oftentimes, there is unnecessary trauma in MM/FF books that do not add anything to the overall story and I try to steer clear of those.

Now, on to the book. The action/tension/spiciness starts early in this 400+ page book and only get better. We love it when a story has a wonderful storyline where the characters grow and overcome traumas while having believable spice due to their jobs.

We love it when the annoying neighbor turns into something more, and neither one realizes they need something the other person has, both emotionally and physically.

I loved the attention to detail of the events and how it allowed this story to border on the line of instalove, BUT a lot happens in a short time, making it a little more believable. The only part of the story that annoyed me was the few chapters of miscommunication, but that is more of a me thing, ha. You are reading, and just like, OMG, figure it out! Just talk, ha!

Overall, if you want a semi-sweet MMR read with the perfect amount of spice and plot, RUN to read this book now!

If you know Penny Fox, you know one thing: once you start reading, your schedule is CANCELLED. And "Sweet Shots" is no exception—it’s a full-blown addiction wrapped in tantalizing prose.
Let’s get one thing straight before we dive in: this book is NOT for the faint of heart. If you clutch your pearls at the mere mention of the word "kink," consider yourself warned. Penny Fox is a maestro of the explicitly erotic, blending the crude and the tender in a way that will leave you both scandalized and swooning. And trust me, you’ll love every second of it.
Now, let’s talk about the magic of "Sweet Shots." If you’ve read "Bad At Love," you already know Mikah and Dominic, and if you haven’t—well, first of all, fix that immediately. But let’s just say, this book takes their dynamic and turns the heat up to volcanic levels. I thrive on opposites colliding, and the way Penny Fox has with kink. And when you add in MM romance? Well, she has basically crafted a book specifically for me.
Beyond the sheer heat, "Sweet Shots" is an intricate dance of emotional healing. Mikah’s journey is raw, honest, and deeply moving, proving once again that Penny doesn’t just write spice—she writes stories with depth, heart, and meaning. Every scene, no matter how ahem physically intense, serves a greater purpose—building trust, fostering connection, and showcasing the beauty of vulnerability.
At the end of the day, "Sweet Shots" is Penny Fox at her absolute best. It’s bold. It’s filthy. It’s tender. So if you love your romance sizzling, your characters complex, and your heart utterly wrecked, do yourself a favor and grab this book immediately. Just... maybe clear your schedule first.

Sweet Shot is the fourth addition to the Behind The Lens shared world series. This is a super spicy MM Romance with a adult creator positivity, that can be read as a standalone.

WOW, just wow. I don't think I have reacted to a book this strongly in a very long time. From the get go the spice is Super Hot and abundant. The first half of this book feels like pure erotica, with a small plot trying to peak through. The spicy scenes are creative and superbly written, making the erotica extremely entertaining to read. I would have been more than happy for the entire book to be this way. Just a little over halfway through, the plot decides to no longer hide in the background and all of a sudden slap you in the feelers. Turning down the spice, just a little bit, and focussing on the connection and growth of the characters in the second half of the book is definitely what took this from a low four star to well above a five star read for me, I loved every minute of it. There was a small bump in the timeline fluidness where it took several minutes for me to figure out how we got from one scene to the next, but that only happened once, it was subtle and I moved on from it quick enough.

I absolutely adored the characters in this book. Admittedly, there were times Mikah was a little over the top for me, I just wanted to shake or slap him. However if he was any less, the book would have lost some of its fabulousness. There is nothing bad I could say about Dominic, he is charismatic, self confident and marvelous. I could not get enough of the two of them together. These two have definitely become one of my favorite book couple.

🎬When the cameras stop rolling, their real feelings start showing.🎬

Sweet shots is a grumpy/sunshine, MM, opposites attract with a dash of enemies to lovers story. That is breathtakingly beautiful. Once i picked it up that was it for me I was not putting it down until it was done. It took me on such an emotional rollercoaster ride, that threw my emotions all over the place and made me extremely protective of these boys like I was their big sister. I instantly fell In love with them.

It's filled with angst, trauma, love, journeys, healing, spice, drama, action and so much more. The characters growth was absolutely beautiful. Both have been through alot especially mikah he's been through some shit. But they are so fucking perfect for each and are their lights in the darkness.

Both guys do cam content, both are neighbours, both kinda maybe hate each other. But do they really? You know there's a thin line between love and hate. They get the chance to actually work together and their journey begins. I absolutely love penny's books and can't wait to read more, highly recommend!!

My favourite quotes ⬇️⬇️

"I'll hold us together the best I can. I'll even try to be your voice when you don't have one."

" Give me all your hatred, baby. Every ounce of it, I want it, the more you give me, the more I'll fuck it out of you "

"I'll gut him, right there in the house, and let captain fluffy paws lick up the mess."

Adult content creator Mikah hates his new neighbor, Dominic. The loud music and constant guests coming and going are driving him crazy. However, when his identity is stolen and his bank accounts wiped clean, a content opportunity has Mikah biting his tongue long enough to ask Dominic to help him regain his financial security. Dominic enjoys teasing his bratty neighbor through their perfectly aligned windows, but when Mikah approaches him for an adult content opportunity, Dom can't resist putting his own spin on the agreement; one that gets Mikah behind Dom's own lens. The two cam stars clash initially, but Mikah soon realizes his new favorite place to be isn't on top, but rather underneath Dom.

The cam star angle is always fun, but adding a desperate brat and an eager Dom...inic made this story truly enjoyable. I loved seeing the absolute hype over adult content and the total lack of negativity amongst the industry and fans alike. I know many small towns could not handle neighbors like Mikah and Dominic in such a nice manner, so the change of pace was refreshing. The two care about each other's hopes and dreams, but Dom's unwavering support towards Mikah's wellbeing and emotional security was top-tier boyfriend material. There were some great secondary characters that I'd love to get to know better. I think the boys' couple dynamic was spicy on its own, but that group scene was dialing this chili pepper rating all the way up! This author knows how to keep a reader engaged!

I'm obsessed. This book sucked me in from the beginning. I absolutely loved the push and pull these characters had. Even when they "hated" each other they were constantly in each other's mind. Like I'm sorry but if I actually hated you I'm not gonna constantly be worried about ur doing in ur house or make eye contact through the window. Them being in denial was cute.

I did find that once they actually had a conversation and got naked everything moved fast. I LOVED that. They had so much chemistry how could they not. They knew, especially Dominic, that he found something special and weren't gonna let it go that easily. They had such an amazing connection they were perfect for one another.

Dominic was able to understand Mikah and his struggles right away. He was always so patient and caring.

There was a lotttt of sex in this book. These characters loved and wanted each other and weren't shy about doing something about it. As spicy as the book was it also focused a lot on the struggles Mikah was going through. I don't really want to get into it (read the book😁) but I loved how he was able to heal and grow. He found the peace he needed.

I must definitely need to check out more books by this author. I wouldn't even mind another book on these characters cause I absolutely fell in love with them.

Also I'm craving chocolate so bad now 🤭🤭

Gumpy and his Sunshine

I was so excited to get this book. Penny Fox gives you a book that sucks you into the story and doesn't release you until it's over. It makes your only thoughts about the book! Kids- nope, don't have any for these next few hours, house chores- pft they'll be there later, dinner - hey they ate at lunch! There was nothing for me but finishing this book.

This is a grumpy sunshine with enemies' vibes, mm book. It's a complete opposite attraction, and it is amazing.

Mikah is our cam content creator. He does his work solo for the company. His biggest enemy, to him, is Dom, his neighbor who also does adult content. His personal issues just makes him not like him. But when a calendar opportunity comes up and requests from his subscribers want the two of them together, Mikah must put his issues aside and work with Dom.

These two are the perfect fit for each other, and they truly bring out the best in each of them. The journey for their HEA is heavy with past trauma, personal issues, and a little bit of hating each other, but the line of love and hate is practically see-through. This is the fourth book in the Behind the Lens shared world series.

This book was so hot!

I have read M/M before and thought I wasn't the biggest fan of it, but maybe that is just how it was written because it has never hit like Sweet Spots did. Even I was hot and bothered. I laughed, I teared up, and I was able to relate to one of the MMCs.

I don't usually care for the sunshine characters in books that I read, but I loved Dominic, and I thought he was FKN HILARIOUS! What really got me going was my love for forbidden romance when Dominic made the comment to Emmett at the bar. That is all I will say on that.

The angst, the spice, the grumpy X sunshine, it was all *chef's kiss*. I definitely look at chocolate a different way now, and I need to experiment with my man, if you know what I mean. If you don't... read this book, and you will! Both characters have some type of traumatic past, though they are very different from each other. Domonic stepped up and helped Mikah out when he really didn't have any valid reason to give into his desperate but hot neighbor.

Now I want to go back and read the first 3 books in this series. Though I know they are also standalones as it is a shared universe, I want to see what I missed, and I am looking forward to what is to come. ;)

I absolutely loved this book. Penny Fox knows exactly how to deliver an engaging, passionate story that pulls you in from the first page and doesn’t let go.

Sweet Shots is sizzling with tension—both emotional and sexual—as it follows Mikah and Dominic, two cam stars with a history of rivalry and a ton of chemistry. What starts as a grudging collaboration for a sexy calendar shoot slowly unravels into something so much deeper. Their enemies-to-lovers dynamic is deliciously intense, and the slow reveal of their true feelings is handled with just the right amount of angst and vulnerability.

Mikah’s voice is funny, messy, and relatable, while Dominic’s cool control makes their growing emotional connection even more satisfying to watch unfold. The calendar concept adds a playful backdrop, but the real heart of the story is the way these two navigate fame, insecurity, and desire while stumbling headfirst into love.

There’s plenty of steam, of course (Fox never disappoints in that department), but what really makes Sweet Shots special is the emotional payoff. Watching these two stubborn, passionate men drop their defenses and admit what they really want?

Penny Fox nailed it. Again.

DOMINIC x MIKAH ♥ I was no expecting to love these two this much. Dominic was such a sweet caring MC. He had the ability to heal some of Mikah's internalized traumas. Mikah growing and realizing he can't keep going the way he is was so bittersweet. I loved watching their love grow.

Let's just say the steam is HOT AF. Do yourself and read Bad at Love (Storm & Gabriel's story). Their is a bonus epilogue at the end of their book that is soooo freaking good and includes Dominic & Mikah.

This is part of Behind the Lens (BTL) shared world. Each other plays a part in this world with their own spin. This is a mm romance, depicting some forms of mental illness and what is needed silence it for even a little while. Thisba rollercoaster of emotion. The fear that Mikah feels, you can feel it too. The happiness he receives while being around Dominic is outstanding. Certain parts of this book wanted to make me cry.

Mikah had a very difficult childhood and it was caused issues for him as an adult. He is a creator of solo content for BTL. Dominic is his neighbor and also works on the same field, but as an independent creator. They are neighbors that really do not get along until Mikah's identity was stolen and was offered a good amount to make a film with Dominic.

Do they become friends? Stay just work associates? Do they fall into a relationship? Does Mikah get his identity issue solved? Does Dominic fall for the lonely Mikah? Does Mikah accept Dominic and his caring nature? Let's finish reading to find out!

I really enjoyed reading Dominic & Mikah’s story. This was a pretty good enemies to lovers MM romance set in the Behind The Lens series. Mikah is shy, quiet, and keeps to himself in his suburban neighborhood. Dominic is the hot but domineering asshole next door. Both of them work in the adult industry as cam workers, but they have vastly different experiences and content. After Mikah’s identity is stolen and entire bank account emptied, he’s forced to find an alternate way to make some quick cash. One of his fans offers him a large sum of money if he makes a video WITH Dominic.

The story honestly starts pretty slow for my liking. But about 1/2 way through it got to the point where I couldn’t put it down. Have I stayed up until well after midnight more than once reading? Yes, yes I have. The angst and tension is palpable. The spicy scenes were well written (minus a few spots where things just felt rushed), and while it certainly played a large role in the book, it wasn’t the entire plot which kept me engaged.

I can’t wait to see the rest of the stories in this series.

This steamy, emotional enemies-to-lovers romance between rival cam boys Mikah and Dominic hits all the right notes. From hostile neighbours to passionate collaborators, their chemistry is explosive—both on and off camera.

Mikah, a bratty and insecure sub haunted by his mother’s toxic words, finds unexpected safety and comfort in Dominic, a confident, dominant cam model who’s determined to love him through the noise in his head. Their dynamic is intense, possessive, and deeply healing, with one wild MMM scene that’ll stay with you.

While the story leans heavily on inner monologue and could’ve used more on-page filming and open communication, the emotional depth and red-hot tension keep things engaging. Dominic shines as the steady light in Mikah’s storm, and their hard-won HEA is deeply satisfying.

Tropes & Themes:
- Cam boys
- Enemies to lovers
- Neighbors
- Introvert x extrovert
- Found family
- Emotional healing

A spicy and heartfelt read for fans of character-driven queer romance with a touch of angst and a whole lot of heat.
