Trapped in snow, bound by grief, captured by an illusion.
In the days following a devastating loss, winter takes hold in the Arctic. I’m stranded with the man who turned my world upside down. His secrets are the reason we fell in love, and our trauma is now what binds us. As we cling to each other to survive, I begin to peel his darkest layers and find he’s exactly what I need to stay alive. He pushes my boundaries in ways I never thought possible, and my addiction to him becomes my lifeline. While our bond teeters on a precarious edge, not everything is as it seems. Spring arrives, and a devastating decision has me questioning my loyalties and if love is enough to save me from losing my sanity. This book is darker than the first and survival isn’t pretty.
Rhea Ryan is a spicy writer of romance on the edge of dark and twisty. Each of her stories delves deep into matters of the heart and explores the darker side of human nature. After writing in the corporate world, she realized she had a desire and compulsion to write creatively. She lives in Western Canada with her husband, two young children and a fur baby.
'𝐖I𝐂K𝐄D L𝐈T𝐓L𝐄 𝐈S𝐋A𝐍D' Is the full length conclusion within the (The Bone Love) series and must be read in order by author Rhea Ryan. London and Micah.
I have been anticipating the release of this book like a woman unhinged I couldn't wait to get my hands on it, one clicked like my life depended on it and dived right in..
And so the saga on the island begins. If starvation doesn’t kill them a more dangerous opponent will and he’s got his sights set on London.
I’ve enjoyed this series from front to back, from the plane crashing to the survivors fighting to live in an unforgiving environment.
Who can you trust when their moral compass has been eaten up by hunger.
When death and destruction walk hand in hand.
i loved how the author wrapped this up, the perfect ending to this series and I can't wait to see what she comes up with in the future because I'll definitely be reading it.
☆10 stars☆ This duet is seriously one of the best I've ever read. It's so different from other popular books right now. This sequel was so satisfying!! What a freaking RIDE. A perfect wrap-up to their story and trauma. I love how this author writes their emotions and the trials they go through. There were times when I didn't want it to end, but at the same time, I was so anxious for them to find peace!! When I got towards the end I was up until 1AM reading. I couldnt put it down. I want to share more about all my favorite parts, but I don't want to spoil it. The ending was just so perfect! These books are going to be in my head for a long time, and I'm excited to eventually do a reread. EVERYONE NEEDS TO READ THESE BOOKS. Check the triggers!
I will say, though....."You love spaghetti don’t you, baby?” 😜
This book had me in a consensual chokehold from the start. I stayed up way past my bedtime finishing it because the thought of stopping was a criminal offense to myself. The underlying eerie, tense and suspenseful tone of this story had me simultaneously anxious ridden yet on the edge of my seat, unable to stop. Rhea wrote this beautifully suspenseful, raw story with such care. Following London and Micah after what had progressed in the first book, especially the events towards the end, and how they handle the emotions elicited from the events that occurred while simultaneously trying to survive in the barren wilderness was such an eye-opening experience. It really makes you question what stakes you would go to in order to survive, both mentally and physically. Overall, I think this was such a beautiful conclusion to London and Micah's story.
I finished this book so fast. Within the first 24 hours I started it. I loved it.
This one was much darker than Pretty Little Island. I can feel how mentally unstable all of the survivors are. The spice was spicy.
We do see a change in everyone character. This makes sense with the fact that people change when it’s a fight for your life for survival.
I was stressed out the whole time reading this book but in a good way! The anxiety was real😂
The story wrapped up nicely. I do wish that the author would have went full circle and had Wicked Little Island loop back to the prologue from Pretty Little Island. But that is just me being picky.
Solid 5 stars.
This book was very descriptive so check CWs.
Definitely see this being a Tv show. The way the story progressively got darker and darker was my favorite. It cant have been written any other way, there is no way things turn out lovey and fluffy if you’re stranded on an island in the winter.
One thing in the ending blew my mind. No wonder they are barely surviving.
This author is so talented. I love Rhea’s writing style.
It's very rare that I read a sequel after DNFing the first book, but I was weak and got curious. And then after a certain point I was just rage finishing.
This is the most toxic relationship of all toxic relationships. It's not even that sexy kind of obsessed relationship that you can excuse all the red flags because the person actually has redeeming qualities, it was actually concerning. And I have no doubts that they won't last as a couple.
But what really pissed me off was that this guy, who is in love with her and obsessed with her, took her away from the other group for their safety and was alone with her for months, abandoned her when he knew there was a chance she was taken by the bad group that was looking for her. He did that to care for his ex (who had beaten her up in the previous book), all while checking her out and getting turned on by her body. He undressed and washed her body and compared how much she loved it to how much the FMC also loved him doing that because that was "their thing". He slept in the same bed as her, getting turned on the entire time. He compared how she looked in the FMC's clothes, and how it still turned him on, and on and on for days. He even had to stay away from the cabin to not be tempted but he WAS still tempted because it had been a whole 5 days since he'd had sex and "she was becoming his backup plan" for that because he missed the FMC.
"I remind myself I’m only turned on because I’m used to getting my dick sucked daily, and right now, the wrong fucking girl is in my bed, even if she’s slowly becoming my backup plan."
What the fuck is this? That's not romantic at all.
She even tries multiple times to get him to sleep with her, even pinning him down, mounting him, and rubbing on his hardon, which he lets her do, along with starting to give him a BJ before he finally pushes her away.
And the FMC sees them together, realizes he left her with her captives for 5 days to be with his ex, and still wants him. She was the most infuriating of all because he'd be horrible to her, leave her, tie her up for days while he left and decided she can stand another night alone (she had to piss herself since he was gone for two days), plus other abusive things I can't be bothered to list out, and still she was back and forth about wanting him and despising him. She'd hate him then she'd be sure she couldn't live without him. He left her so many times and she took him back every time because she needed him. The last time he supposedly took 4 months to finally get himself right to be what she needed, and then in the ending chapters said he lived in constant fear that he'd revert back to how he was.
This couple will not last. And honestly her relationship with the brother before he died was also toxic in a different way, so this entire duet was just ridiculous. I should have left it at DNFing the first book.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
The way I was on EDGEEE this entire book!! Book 2 is significantly darker as the weather worsens the food is scarce and their mental health is threatened. My anxiety was peaked and I couldn’t put this book down! (No literally I stayed up til 3am because I could not stop) Rhea blew me away with the end of the Bone Love Duet. This is definitely one of the reads where I’m gonna beg for amnesia so I can read it again for the first time.
My girl Rhea Ryan has done it again! This time even darker and more intense.
Being stranded in the Arctic, having been dealt a tragic loss, we experience London and Micah’s struggle to not only endure their harsh reality physically, but mentally and emotionally. And when I say experience, I’m talking a chokehold Rhea put on me with every dark and toxic thought they had from beginning to end.
The resilience of strong and fearless London as she tries to keep Micah from shattering into a million pieces, as she clutches to every last fiber of her own sanity, is so inspiring. The surprising vulnerability shown by such a possessive alphahole is chef’s kiss. Emotions are fully charged and raw as all the characters evolve through their survival.
There’s so much passion (perfectly spicy) not only between the MCs but the story as a whole. It’s toxic but exhilarating. It explores the deterioration of mental health and how trauma bonds are formed (to name a few) so check your triggers. You’ll question how or even if you’d ever survive such an experience. It was a divine conclusion to the series; a brutal and beautiful assault I’d go through again and again.
Thank you for the opportunity to again be one of the first to read your fierce story.
Wicked Little Island This book had me on chokeland from the first line aand It only gets more and more dark as we move forward and in a way I anticipated it, because survival is not pretty. As much as I loved the first book, I loved this one 10x more.
Y'all already know I'm fan of Rhea's writing so no doubt this one is also fantastically written. It was a raw story with much depth to characters and plot. It was emotional rollercoaster ride and I was all in for it. The emotions were beautifully portrayed on characters and that is one of my fav part of the book.
Finally, I'm satisfied with the ending as this book perfectly wrapped up all the open ends. It is still living rent free in my head.
I'll definitely recommend the book and do check trigger warnings before reading this book.
This was EVERYTHING!!!! I loved that we got to continue this journey! All the angst and the emotional roller coaster I took when reading!!! This is my FAVORITE BOOK BY RHEA HANDS DOWN!! This was an ARC and im giving my honest opinions
You know when you finish a series & you just simply don't know what you're going to do with yourself because the books were just that good? This series is that for me. It had me on the edge of my seat, I felt so many different emotions while reading them. I accidentally stayed up until 4am while reading Wicked Little Island because I needed to know what was going to happen on the next page, and I couldn't put it down until the story was over. The author really captured these characters fighting for their life trying to survive, mentally & physically. She tied this love story throughout these books that makes your heart feel whole while simultaneously breaking it into a million pieces. Wicked Little Island wrapped up The Bone Love Series perfectly & Rhea Ryan Is one of my favorite indie authors I've found this year. I can't wait to read more of her books. ♡
This book was emotionally intense and definitely darker than the first book, but I completely enjoyed it!!
It was suspenseful and I found myself on edge the entire story. This story makes you think about the things you would actually be willing to do just to survive because you have no other choice. Surviving each other and the elements, hunger, isolation, physical limitations and mental hallucinations. You name it!
I loved Micah and London. They went through so much on that pretty little island and also lost their sanity, which was completely understandable. I wanted them to find peace and be rescued so badly, but I also didn't want the story to end. I loved this series it's unlike anything I've ever read. Highly Recommend 💯
Amazing! Instantly thrown back into the story, and instantly gripped. It was dark, gritty and tense, I didn’t know how it was all going to play out.
I was aching for Micah & London to have their HEA, but it just got messy time and time again. I absolutely devoured the first 75% in one sitting, I didnt want to put it down. One more chapter… one more. I was hooked, again very hot spice. I have been dying to read this since becoming obsessed with the first one and it did not disappoint. The plot was thick, I cried, I gasped, Micah had me blushing. He is perfection, a grumpy, possessive, morally grey alpha hole.
I was finished in less than 24 hours it was so capturing! Perfect ending to an incredibly written duet.
ha ha…hahahaha ha ha…remember when i wrote this 👇👇
“London, Maison, + maybe Micah
-high school bully -hockey -romantic suspense -what tf is going on”
in my review for book one? ha ha. yeah let’s all laugh about alllll that! 😂😂😂 that was really funny. you got me rhea. you really really got me!! but woooowwww…was this book…INTENSE!! but it fucking ATE!
Oh man. Rhea has done it again!! The ARC was amazing. I ate this book up just like I did the first. So much darker than PLI 😯 Definitely hot and spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ I cannot wait to preorder for my physical copy.
It’s 2AM and I just finished 🤫
Rhea, It has been so much fun following along on your writing journey.
I went into this book fully aware of the trigger warnings but I still didn’t think it was going to be what it was. The MMC was terrible. Their relationship was awful. He talked so terribly about her. Treated her like nothing but a warm hole, quite literally. Forced her til I’ve him, and didn’t even want her to mourn the death of his brother, the brother she ACTUALLY liked in book 1.
A lot of it was repetitive imo. I was ready for the rescue to happen, and was hoping for more story AFTER the rescue happened.
Perfect is indeed the word for the conclusion of this thrilling duet to Bone Love Duet. From the very first page, the story grips you tightly, refusing to let go until the very end the anxiety was real throughout. The characters face trials that challenge not only their physical endurance but also their moral fiber, painting a vivid picture of their internal struggles.
At the heart of the story is Micha, portrayed with heartbreaking vulnerability. His journey through profound brokenness adds a raw emotion that resonates long after the final chapter. London, too, fights valiantly against the encroaching darkness, struggling to maintain her grip on sanity amidst the chaos.
What sets this sequel apart is its unflinching exploration of darker themes. The stakes are higher, the dangers more palpable, and the tension more relentless. The characters' evolution is palpable as they reveal different facets of themselves under extreme duress, showcasing their resilience and flaws alike.
And let's not forget the spice—holy heck, it's spicy! The romance is passionate and intense, adding an electrifying element to an already charged plot. It serves not just as a subplot but as a crucial element that intertwines seamlessly with the broader story.
Overall, 'Wicked Little Island: The Perfect Ending' is a triumph of storytelling. It delves deeper into its characters' psyches while maintaining an exhilarating pace that keeps you on edge.
⚠️ Check TW prior to reading!!
I was given an ARC for my honest review.
Rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Burn:🔥🔥🔥🔥 Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Darkness:🖤🖤🖤 POV: Dual Ending: HEA
Rhea Ryan delivered a heart-pounding conclusion to her The Bone Love Series with Wicked Little Island. The way this book had me in a chokehold, I was engaged from beginning to end. As Rhea delved into the characters’ trials in surviving the Alaskan winter, it was a daunting experience reading about the breakdown of their physical endurance and the dark thoughts that invaded their minds. At the heart of the story was London and Micah’s tumultuous romance. Between the toxicity and the intensity, their journey to HEA was a bumpy one.
Micah had so many layers that each time one was peeled, I was shook. He displayed a hidden vulnerability that was utterly heartbreaking. He compartmentalized his emotions so much to stay strong and survive, which is never a good thing. London was instrumental in keeping him from falling into the abyss. I admired London’s resilience, especially as she struggled with her inability to properly mourn the loss she and Micah experienced at the end of Pretty Little Island. She found herself lost in illusions and I was completely engrossed as she questioned her sanity.
Rhea did an amazing job of portraying the breakdown of the human psyche as the characters struggled for survival. The resilience of the survivors was awe-inspiring, but survival came at a cost for sure. I was on the edge of my seat as the changes in the characters were revealed. London called it IYKYK
The spice!. The way London and Micah came together was explosive. They put every ounce of whatever they were feeling into those passionate moments.
If you’re looking for a high stakes dark romance where the characters are in survival mode, then you need to read this series.
This is part of The Bone Love Series, which comprises of 2 novels and a novella. This is the 2nd novel released by Thea.
I'm getting serious Lord of the Flies vibes from this series but with a deeper, dark feel to it as they are now all split into groups and essentially at war with each other.
In Wicked Little Island, the story picks up a week after the ending events of Pretty Little Island and is told from the viewpoints of London and Micha.
If it's even possible, this book is darker and brooding... you can feel the tension through the pages as you read about the stranded group's dire situation.
London is losing her grip on reality, and Rhea is incredibly clever to weave London's hallucination amongst the actual story. At a few points, I actually wondered if imagination was reality and Rhea has thrown in a crazy twist! So, so well done.
Micha.. Micha is incredibly dark. I mean he is much darker in this book compared with the previous one but given there is an element of darkness already there and given the environment they're in, the darkness is able to grow more toxic.
The survival element of the book is fantastic as you get pulled in, and you really feel like you're there, with the characters and feeling what they feel.
I can't stress enough how clever this book is and how all-consuming it becomes. I found myself wanting to finish it in a single sitting so I could read how it ends.
Survival is definitely not a fairy tale in this romance!
A brilliant series, Rhea and a series that anyone who loves romance with a dark and twisty edge, would definitely love this.
Excuse my language but OMFG. This is one of my favorite series I’ve read to date, especially in 2024. This book encompasses everything that makes an intense read. Please read Pretty Little Island beforehand or you will spoil it for yourself. This story takes place right after Pretty Little Island with the amount of grueling detail on how the lives of the “survivors” gets dark. Human nature really takes these characters on one hell of a ride. This read puts you into the harsh wilderness as the author transports you into the minds of her characters. The brutal reality of their mental health deterioration and the psyche/ physical changes over time being surrounded by nothing but nature and hatred. The evolution all the characters went through from being the elite population to just surviving and meeting their basic needs. The sheer fear, trauma and brutal damage (both emotional and physical) that these teenagers survived is unfathomed. I was on the edge of my seat for this entire book. If you’re looking for an intense, loathing, survival type book with broody male characters, a lot of spice and one of the most brutal emotional rollercoaster rides of your life read this. You won’t regret it. That being said, check the trigger warnings to see what you’re getting yourself into first. Mental health matters.
I read this book in one day. I could not put it down. Not surprising because Pretty Little Island was my top read of 2023. So obviously the conclusion would be just as amazing. This was so very good, so very sad, so very emotional. I really wish we hadn’t lost Maison in book one but I’m so glad that Micah was able to finally tame his demons so that he and London could have their happily ever after. This whole saga was a really crazy story and goes to show just how people truly can be when just trying to survive. Especially teenagers with no real life experience or the mental capacity. This whole story will stay with you for months to come. Her writing is on another level and I can’t believe she’s a newer writer. For me, she is one of my top ten favorite authors. I am hooked and engaged by every sentence. This whole experience was a masterpiece and felt like a movie playing out. The descriptions, feelings and emotions make you feel like you were there with them. Excellent job Rhea! Loved it!!!!!
I was graciously honored with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review, however life took over and I didn't get a chance to read it before it released. I ended up finishing it up yesterday and WOW! wow wow wow. Let me just be clear, this is the second (technically 3rd bc there's a novella) book of this series, NO YOU CANNOT READ THEM OUT OF ORDER. YOU MUST READ PRETTY LITTLE ISLAND FIRST. I was gifted Pretty little island by my lovely friend and god, it changed my life when I read it. I mean I was gnawing at the gate to get an ARC of this book and man, it did not dissapoint. Their story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming, was I mad at the characters? Absofuckinglutely. Was I absolutely stressed for 80% of the whole book? Also absofuckinglutely. But did I love every single second of it, even if I was mad? Absofuckinglutely. I don't think I'll ever be able to rate a Rhea book below 5 stars because I adore her and her words and her writing.
Where do I even begin. I absolutely loved Pretty Little Island (book 1). It was such an incredible story so different from anything I’ve read. I absolutely wasn’t ready for it to end.
I needed to know what in the world happened to the characters ASAP. Well Wicked Little Island didn’t disappoint it was absolutely fantastic!!!
I don’t want to spoil anything so this will be a vague review but oh my this book is intense, it sucks you in and doesn’t let you go until the end. I absolutely loved the characters growth and development throughout this book. These characters went through it like through HELL and back to survive on the deserted island. All of the characters grew and changed but Micah Micah Micah his character arc was absolute PERFECTION like I don’t even have words for how well Rhea dives into to psyche and really pushes him through it.
I loved EVERYTHING about this story and these characters it was an absolute WILD RIDE and I yelled at Rhea A LOT throughout both books but it’s completely worth it in the end it’s a BEAUTIFUL story of survival, triumph, love, loss, grief and heartbreak and I loved the entire journey.
This book. I didn’t know what to think by around the half way mark.. was I enjoying it or was i just persevering? I decided to commit and keep going! And I glad I did! you could feel the characters were all losing their grip on their sanity. But the MC’s were both cray cray! Because hello- TRAUMA!! And The fight for survival is always real because Nigel is still out there with his extra psycho-ness! I was worried this book wouldn’t end on a happy note and that kept me on the edge of my seat!
I could not wait for this conclusion, and it did not disappoint! I felt so many feelings while reading this. Different characters made me feel different things. I felt like I was right there with them on the island. It was interesting to see the role humanity and sanity played on the island. The characters were all broken in their own way, but in the end, their humanity kept them together and allowed them to survive. For whatever reason, Nigel's lack of humanity and sanity kept him alone and isolated. I also liked how on the island they didn't think normal laws applied to them. However, they had to face the consequences of their actions. I also really liked seeing some of the changes in the characters and how some of the dynamics changed. Through grief and trauma, they were still able to retain some of their humanity. This was a dark romance, so there was ALOT of spice!!! If you have not read the Bone Love Series by @rhearyanwrites , go read them!! You will not be disappointed!
What an amazing, tragic, haunted, tortured, toxic dark romance! The romance in this book is super toxic and absolutely messed up, but with their situation of being stranded for months, I’m not surprised it’s messing with their minds. They are wholly compromised mentally, physically, and emotionally. I loved the survival aspect of the story. It was all-consuming. There were so many questions to be answered. There was a continuous revolution of things happening that thoroughly captured your attention. An insane ride of a read that was mind-blowingly incredible.
The romance in this wasn’t necessarily for me. I didn’t hate it. Not a reason to stop reading or anything. Very toxic. But it with the story as a whole was definitely connected and wouldn’t have worked without it. I loved the thriller aspect the most. Them being stranded and the fight for survival and each other.
I was really hoping to like this book more than I did. The writing style was wonderful but the FMC’s inability to choose one of the brothers was just an ick for me, since the book wasn’t written as a why choose. Not to mention the one brother wasn’t alive but she couldn’t let him go which made the living love interest just seem like a second choice, someone to fill the void. The love story becoming completely unbelievable and just took away my desire to read it. I powered through but definitely not my favorite. These are just my opinions though. And many people do seem to like the book very much. I think the book would have been better if both brother’s lived so the ghost of the one didn’t eclipse the entire relationship for all eternity afterwards.

This book picks up from were Pretty Little Island left off. The story is dark, twisted and amazing! I could not put it down and these characters will live in my heart forever. Grab your tissues, a big bottle, yes bottle of wine and lock yourself away. You will truly not want to be interrupted. This author does not shy away from the details and does not make it easy for this couple to get their HEA. There were many times during this story I wasn’t sure if it would actually happen. This story is real. It is soul changing and is one I wish I could start from the very beginning for the very first time. Bravo!
I have been waiting MONTHS since I got to read the first book and let me tell you…..WORTH IT! I cleared my entire schedule just to read this as soon as it hit my kindle. We pick up from book 1 after the crash and it hurt all over again. Now if you have not read please do not continue reading. It’s VERY important to read book 1 and then the novella. Now let’s get to Micah, I still want to just uggghh because he still makes the worse decisions possible!! When you get to the trash decision he made then you’ll feel the same. I still think London deserves the world and goodness this poor girl. The ending does give us I guess closure but I’m greedy and I still need more LOL.
I don't think I've ever read a series quite like this. Have you ever read a book where something traumatic happens to a character and you think to yourself "wow that trauma didn't really affect them that much" or "they bounced back from that quick." I can promise you you won't think that in this book. These characters are so traumatised and messed up I honestly didn't know how Rhea was going to wrap this all up in a nice way. But I can assure that she did. I've read quite a bit of dark romance but this series is going to be one that sticks with me I think. I can't recommend this series enough especially if you want something different to the usual tropes.
