This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. It’s a delightful adventure mystery with surprising twists and turns that lead away from traditional story lines. Escape had me begging to read the next book in the series to find out how and what happened. This is a great first book from a new author.
This book has some interesting twists but characters are not developed at all, and the whole book feels unfinished. I understand that it is a part of a trilogy but still it should be a complete novel, not just first chapters with a lot of unanswered questions.
A thrilling start to the Chronicles of Hart trilogy.
The reader is introduced to Grace as she is planning her escape from the tower that has held her captive for so many years. The action quickly accelerates as Grace attempts to make her escape, and meets some new and old friends along the way. I recommend wearing gloves while reading this book; to protect your hands from paper cuts as you become engrossed in the page-turning action sequences and unexpected reveals. (No spoilers!)
First reads book, just got it today! Autographed, too. :-)
Apostrophes were lacking throughout the book. There were a few sentences where a comma would have been useful. Also, toward the end of the book there were rouge gunmen and a rouge car. I am guessing it was supposed to be rogue instead of rouge.
It was interesting to see the author's take on Rapunzel and I must say I really enjoyed the underground tunnels where you needed codes to continue on through.
If the book had better editing, I could easily see this book as four stars. I am interested in reading the next book in the series.
This is the best book I have read in a very long time. It reminded me somewhat of Indiana jones meets repunzel. I loved how it was action packed and when it ended it left me feeling like I wanted more. This is a book I will keep in my collection forever. I very rarely read books more then once but I am sure I will come back to this one time and time again. I received this book free from goodreads.com
