Solid world building. The world ending violence felt real but not too real. I liked the fact that the trio didn't consumate their bond until they were in a safe place. Just go along with the ride, you'll enjoy it.

Interesting choices. Interesting wrap up. Relationship building was great until after the sex then it fizzled dramatically. The saying is “one and the same,” not “one in the same.” Could definitely tell the difference between the three MCs.

Oh my goodness! I was not expecting, and was totally overjoyed, that there is a serious science fiction element to this book. Initially, I was thrown off base, but I hopped on the bandwagon fairly quickly. So, if really hot m/m/f action with a curiously intricate sci-fi component tickles your fancy, do read this book. It rang all my chimes!

Detective Theodore Gray, Theo, has an unusually amusing, but painful run-in with one of his niece's knitting needles. The puncture and the blood definitely say this will need a trip to the ER. His sister takes him and he contacts his partner to pick him up in two hours. Theo is a hunk and a very perceptive police detective. Both attributes serve him well hours, weeks, and months later after all hell breaks lose and his well-honed professional skills become essential to survival.

Detective Gideon Cearvall told his partner Theo right from the git-go that his sexual orientation was bi. Gideon is also fairly confident that the same may holds true for Theo. However, Gideon keeps that whole conversation on the back burner. Additionally, Gideon has had some very persistent and detailed dreams that seem to be really out of this world. Plus he has never been able to ascertain—since he was orphaned at a very young age and is a product of foster care—whether those are the reasons he just doesn't feel like he belongs. Gideon is a major sweetie!

Doctor Beatrice (Bea) Morgan is an ER trauma surgeon and she has the pleasant and distracting task to sew up Theo. When Gideon comes to collect his partner, newly stitched up Theo has just manhandled a guy to the ground who attacked Doc Bea. Gideon and Theo contain the fellow, who is under serious delusional stress, until security can take him away. This energetic incident seems to have brought Bea, Theo, and Gideon into a warm camaraderie. They decide to go get a bite to eat. While they are in the elevator leaving the hospital, the unthinkable, the unbelievable, and the horrific reigns rains down upon all that our main three knew and accepted. Oh my!

Quite frankly, you simply have to read the balance of the book to find out all the intricacies that happen. Allow me to say that the ending was just perfectly wonderful and I felt I deserved it as much as the key players did, too. Theo, Gideon, and Bea earned their stripes big time. There is gobs of action, wonderful sci-fi twists and turns, and really hot sex. Who could ask for anything more? A winner!

Hearts on Fire Review

Theo Gray is a perfectly content man with his life. He takes care of his sister and niece, and he has a great work partner who he is friends with out of work. Theo is a hot and sexy cop.

Gideon Cearvall is a cop who grew up in the foster care system. He never knew his family or where he came from. Gideon is head over heels in love with his work partner, Theo, who has no idea of Gideon’s feelings.

Dr. Bea Morgan is an ER doctor. She patched up Theo just before the aliens attached. She is overwhelmed at how sexy Theo and Gideon are. She is a perfect match for both Gideon and Theo and she noticed the attraction between the men.

The chemistry between Theo, Gideon, and Bea is intense. I enjoyed how they clicked together no matter how weird the situation got. The sex scenes were scorching.

This book was a great combination of mystery and suspense. I was kept on my toes right until the end of the story. The main characters and secondary characters were interesting and appealing. Overall, this was a great book. I always enjoy reading Ms. Leaf and this book did not disappoint.

I loved it!, it was almost like a b-rated sci fi movie. But the characters filled out the story and made it flow well and a joy to read.
Sci Fi being what it is... how many of us find ourselves thinking about a alien invasion.... no not to the point of panic or hysterics, but thinking yeah it could happen.
You're going about your day, the power goes out... you hear big booms... and from that day on your world as you know has changed.
I think Ms Leaf did a awesome job, each of the characters had body and substance. I loved their personalities. The story line was easy to read and kept at a decent pace. The interaction between Gideon and Theo was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the way they both migrated toward Bea. Not a great deal of sex, but some heat in a few scenes. This was my first book to read from this author. I will be looking into more of her books. I would recommend this read to anyone that likes sci fi. Enjoy.

The aliens are coming in this thrilling and erotic sci-fi novella. The author has created an alien invasion story that gives the readers thrills and chills as well lots of passion in a fantastic quick read with some surprises and betrayals that the reader doesn’t see coming which adds more drama and excitement. The non-stop action ensures that once started the reader won’t want to put the book down, which is certainly the case for me. This is the first book that I have read by the author and I have added Erin M Leaf to my TBR list.

I'll admit... I'm not typically a sci-fi reader, but the blurb on this book got my attention so I thought I'd give a go. I'm glad I did. I truly enjoyed the characters and their interaction, including their hot, sexy interaction. The plot was intriguing and held my attention. Great job, Erin! :)
