I read this book to help me better care for my Betta. It was a great start. I’ve had two Bettas, Debo and Stoogie. I learned that as much as I read on the subject, I am not a professional marine animal caretaker. I’ve had an easier time caring for my dog than a tropical fish.

There is a lot of information about betta care that's available online but I wanted to have a book on hand for quick reference. This book has a lot of good info from betta types, how to chose one, how to set up your aquarium, which plants work well, which tank mates to include (if any), feeding, and treatment of various ailments.

It doesn't go into great detail, so it doesn't become overwhelming. It also coincides with the research I've done on my own and learned from a betta group I'm in on Facebook.

The only thing that would make this book better would be more pictures showing examples of things, such as what certain diseases look like. The pictures they do have are clear and in color.

This is a great book for anyone interested in keeping bettas.

I like this, it is really informative. It actually shows and give a brief description of the plants that i can put in the tank as well as the types of fish that can live with the betta. The pictures of the various plants and community fishes helps with identifying what I can buy when I go to the pet store. Nice.
