I said I was done with this series a book or two ago but by the time a new one came out I'd forgotten. Hopefully, this book has firmly fixed 'no more' in my brain. By the time I was 57% through I was counting the % until I was done.
3 stars for effort but two for enjoyment....How the heck did this get good reviews ?
3 stars for effort but two for enjoyment....How the heck did this get good reviews ? Sooo soo much drama angst and it all seemed to take place in less than a week ..... Ok, firsts I have to get some of my biggest pet peeves off my chest, one) I a 1000% disagree w/Milo or Tad referring to the other two as their mates , I.e. Tad was eager to get back to his “mates” or Milo could feel his “mates” happiness thru their bond, no,no,no, No! Because unless a story like this is an m/m/f where there men are romantically and sexually involved these men are NOT mates! Just because they SHARE a mate that doesn’t make them mates as well..... Hey,I’m all for them being close and being good friends etc. they I’ll need to be if they are sharing their lives together, especially as long as I thinking these shifters might live but, but they still doesn’t make them mates, Milo’s MATE was Courtney ( that’s it) Tad’s MATE was Courtney ( only ) but Courtney was the only one with two mates, Milo and Tad,when she said mates it made sense but it didn’t when the guys said it....When they said it something felt off,see that’s why it bugged me,I’ve read menage stories that were represented as a M/F/M menage and for 50-75% of the book it seemed like it was then one of the guys calling the other guy and the woman his “mates” seemed to change meaning when next thing you know the guys are showing more than friendly interest in each other and suddenly if has m/m happening here and there and hints of it everywhere and if gone from m/f/m with the woman at the center of all romantic and sexual attention to it becoming a m/m/f and that attention going everywhere and if that’s not your thing it’s not a fun thing to be blindsided by... Soo its a bit of a peeve of mine and it almost kept me distracted by what a mess the rest I’d this was... Dear lord I don’t know how old Courtney was but the acted like an immature idiot in the beginning and it totally turned me off her... Seeing Milo carries a gun,her reaction ? “If your not a murderer, why do you carry a gun”? Seriously ? He could have been in law enforcement or any number of things but her first thought is “your a murderer”... Right, ok, now I know she’s on the run from a killer but still when a man saves you from freezing out in the cold when you lose control of you car isn’t to just threaten him every few seconds between insulting him..... Seriously I can’t believe Courtney is/was very old and lacking as much sense and ppl skills as she did I really don’t believe she was a reporter or especially a journalist or if she was, she was only one did about 5 seconds out collage before her life was untended by this all knowing killer named Jeffery .... Who is the end all be all in criminal masterminds but barely gets to her mother’s cabin before he’s shot in the head and killed.. Their was soo much angst and drama with these 3 mostly unneeded and all overly quickly ended ... Tad has angst of female cousin liked when he was a teen,Milo of over feeling good enough for everything and everyone, Courtney because she’s and idiot and soo is her mother .. It would be angst and drama over something ,then sex, more drama then the 3 works go have sex again rinse and repeat... This was drama filled but shallow all at the same time... Once the drama over the killer was over and Tads guilt was eased, sex and a bit more sex the worries over the future , then off to meet Courtney’s who had seemed ok with shifters til Courtney mated two, a bear 🐻was ok but a tiger 🐯 wasn’t mage flips out more drama then sex, worry then off to Minnesota to basics,it rinse and repeat ... more drama and angst that’s easily resolved some sex and then a happy for now... My official rating is one.five to two stars... Shallow and overly angst filled with one dimensional characters ... Grateful this was KU
No rating because I DNF’d at 25% in. Nothing necessarily wrong with the book, but it’s a shorter story and everything felt extremely rushed. Every paragraph felt rushed into and the dialogue felt rushed. No character building or depth before the threesome begins. She’s on the run from a killer, terrified of the man that saved her in a blizzard because he might’ve been hired by the killer, yet the next second she’s terrified she’s putting him in danger, and then they’re mates and then there’s another shifter mate and then they’re getting down and dirty all before chapter 6. Just too much happening in too short of a time and I wasn’t feeling it.
This book has a combination of A mystery, Rebellion, Death and love all combined into 1 book. The author takes you on a journey from Texas to Alaska And the various characters that make up the story. The characters interactive various ways the writer has a way of making you turn the page. I found I enjoyed it Thermal of the book and The characters within it.
Didn't realize this was the 7th book in the series, felt like I was missing out on a LOT and no wonder! But I still didn't connect with any of the three leads and felt no great compulsion to finish the story.
I assumed that the mafia hit on Courtney would be the main plot so I was surprised when that was resolved (?) about 1/3 of the way through. Seems like the book was headed towards more internal shifter politics and I didn't really care about that.
The new author Marissa Dobson is putting out an amazing series. You definitely need to read this one, but if you want to get the best start with book 1 and be prepared for you to miss a lot of work elsew
Milo, Tad and Courtney are the second triad in the Alaskan Tiger series. Action packed from the beginning. A really good story. The series continues with Tabitha uniting the tiger shifter clans.
I love the book I still have 3 to buy I love how it's written about a bear and tigar.so may things to think about and what happens. A must read A great book thank you
Running to her mom's in Alaska, Courtney was trying to stay ahead of a murderer that was after her. With her mom out of town Tad and Milo were keeping an eye on her place. When Courtney shows up then realize she is their mate. Wonderful series.
Another nice read in the series. Excellently written with great characters in a good continuing story line. Plenty of intensity to keep you intrested I can't wait to read more.
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Melissa Dobson. This is book 7 of the series from Alaskan Tigers by the author.
Courtney is running for her life from a drug dealer who killed 2 people and the Marshall who was hiding her in protective custody. Tad was asked to watch a friends house while she was away but when a stranger shows up things get a little complicated for him.
WOW this story is very well written with some great characters. The author wrote a clean and smooth flowing story line in this book.
This is for any mature paranormal romance book lover out there.
