The book contains some fascinating stories by true adventurers, but because they are written by many different people, the story quality varies quite a bit. Some of the stories are well-written and engaging, others not as much. Disclosure: I read this book because it was a gift from one of the contributors (Kristin Larson), and her story was one of the best.

An ok read. There are better books about explorers, though perhaps not written by better explorers. A lot of casual boasting and wealth dropping in this one by very accomplished rich people.

I'm enjoying it! I just wish there were some tales from right here in North America too. Are we boring, or are we all explored? What about Canada?
