Remington Mansion #3

The Blitz Murderer

Rate this book
In the third book of the Remington Mansion Mystery series, time travelers Josie Matthews and David Remington venture to 1940 London to save their friends.

After visiting Hollywood in 1936, Josie and David learned that while their trip back in time didn't change world history, it somehow caused the deaths of their closest friends. Determined to save them without causing any other damage, the Remingtons travel to 1940 London and learn they have a week to find their friends.

Unfortunately, that's hard to do when bombs drop on a nightly basis, a Nazi spy is on the loose and a serial killer has decided to strike Londoners when they're most vulnerable. Josie and David race against time to save their friends, even as they are hunted by an unseen enemy while the Third Reich does everything it can to learn the secrets of time travel.

The BLITZ MURDERER is a story of friendship, intrigue and the perfect cup of tea in war-torn London.

I wondered for a long time if there would be another book in this series, so I was delighted when I found this. This time around David and Josie have gone to London during the Blitz to save their friends. There were many, many red herrings and a lot of wondering whose side various characters were on. Historically the story felt fairly accurate, but there were a couple of loose ends they were not tied up to my satifaction and some questions about various characters behaviour, but a apart from that a great addition to the time travel whodunit series.

This book was good. A relatively easy read with lots of intrigue and mystery. It was fun to try and figure out who would survive and who might be a spy. I wish there was more explanation as to how the friends ended up in London, which caused David and Josie to go to London. But either way it was a good addition to this series.

Much more serious than the series first book

Not as many laugh out loud moments in this book. WWII and Nazis are very serious subject matter. Although the plot had twists and action kept you on your toes, I much prefer the first book.

Not as good as the other 2 books in the series. It took me a while to get into it and the ending wasn’t good.
