From USA TODAY best-selling author Anya Karin writing as Lynn Red comes a steamy, seductive, hilarious and delicious alpha werebear romance.

Curvy, witty, carrot-topped Violet Larue is a fox shifter with a goal – she NEEDS to find herself a mate before she goes absolutely nuts.

After a string of bad relationships that left her heartbroken, and a bunch of dates that were more pie-in-the-face than swept-off-her-feet, Violet is just about ready to throw in the towel. She wants someone to chase her, to possess her, to make her his mate.

Somehow convinced to attend the only cage fight she’s ever seen, Violet has no idea that she’s about to lay eyes on just the bear for her.

Muscled, inked-up and one of the most dangerous fighters in the world, “Crag” Morgan is the bear of Violet’s dreams. With a dark past and an even darker present, love is nowhere near the top of Crag’s to-do list... until he’s looking around the crowd and catches a glimpse of a redhead with eyes that make his heart skip a beat.

He is everything she ever wanted. A self-assured, massively powerful alpha with a waist just perfect for wrapping her legs around? Uh, yes please! But little does Violet know that in the split second Crag spied her in the audience, she stole his heart. The bad boy fighter decided then and there to do whatever it takes to claim her... forever.

Note: THE JAMESBURG SHIFTERS is a series of standalone novels each featuring a unique hero and heroine and a satisfying HEA ending. No cliffhangers here! Books can be enjoyed in any order you like!

Two questions arise from this book and the first in the series, To Catch a Wolf. Why do hyenas scratch all the time? They can't be anymore flea bitten then the wolves, foxes, and etc. Why does Jamie, the were-vampire bat, sneeze all the time?
The h giggles, gets drunk & talks to herself whiling FORGETTING that her friend is there visiting. (How dumb do you have to be to forget you have company sitting on the couch next to you?!?) The H really isn't any better, he, knowingly, works for the guy that killed his brother. WTH is up with that? “I won’t let him get away with what he did to you. Not for a second. The first chance I have...” After working for the guy for years you'd think that the not so smart bad guy would have given the H a chance. :-/ If someone killed a family member would you go to that person if you needed money? He fought because he “Didn’t have a choice. It’s the one job where flipping out and destroying people every day is a good thing." Um, how about not flipping out? Maybe try to be a decent Were/human being?
His "leathery" voice and scent are mentioned several times. What, exactly, is a leathery voice?
There's a number of missteps in the storyline too, like it was edited badly..maybe(?). When she goes to the fight she has good enough sight to see the hairs going through the were-crocs necklace links but just moments later she can't see what the H's tattoo designs are. They start a convo about the missing girls, acting like it was common knowledge and that they had talked about it before when up to that point the only time it had been mentioned was in a talk between Erik & Jamie. Top it all with how wishy washy the h is, she wants him, she can't do that, she wants him, she worries he doesn't want her, anything she does with him is a "lapse", etc.
Were-bears are my favorite Were books, I love when I find them. I was really looking forward to this one and I was sadly disappointed. Really hoping that the next in the series, Bare With Me, is better.

Violet sure is a curious little thing, "do you...trim your arm hair?" I asked him as my hand ran along his muscled forearm. "You don't have very much for a bear." Ash that boy sure knows how to woo a lady, "shut up and kiss me," Crag said. Then he did the work for me. "I saw you in the crowd tonight, and I couldn't take my eyes off you. Almost got plastered in that last match. Didn't you notice that?" I mean when he's in the mood he's all for his lady and everything about him changes, "Ash's gorgeous brown eyes had taken on a golden-yellow hue as the hair sprouting out of his arms got thicker and harder. "You bring it out in me," he groaned, leaning is head back against the floor and clenching his jaws. "You and...no one...else." I liked this book I didn't love it but I liked it, I loved how all alpha Ash was that's what gets my juices going now and days is all these hot alphas.

Original, Exciting and Entertaining
This was a very well written story that was extremely enjoyable to read. Some very original plots in this book with entertaining characters. Even though this is the second book to a series it’s a self contained book that you can enjoy reading without having to read the first one. But the first one is fun to read as well. Jamesburg’s town got a lot more going on than meets the eye. Love the humor when you least expect it. Great job to the author. I was gifted a review copy by the author for my honest opinion. "

This intriguing paranormal romance is full of laughter and romance that makes the reader feel good. Fox shifter Violet Larue needs to find a mate before she goes absolutely nuts. When she’s convinced to attend the local cage fight, she finally finds the bear for her. Muscled, inked up and one of the most dangerous fighters in the world, “Crag” Morgan catches a glimpse a redhead with eyes that make his heart skip a beat in the crowd and vows to do whatever it takes to claim her… forever.

This steady to fast paced plot keeps readers well entertained with suspense, action, humor and romance. The author paints a vivid picture of the story and characters that make the reader feel as if they are part of the story and really know the characters. The characters are strong compelling characters with lots of quirky personalities that grab the attention and charm the reader. The tension builds throughout the story as Crag tries to find a way out of his situation and also as young girls come up missing and it seems to follow the fighting events.

The attraction between Violet and Crag radiates from each and every page and the sex scenes are hot and steamy with the relationship being the center stage of the plot. The romance progresses with some emotional angst, but mostly with lots of chasing and humorous moments that leaves the reader with a happy feeling.

Jamesburg is the setting for a whimsical and charming group of shifters from all walks of life. Each characters personality resembles their animal making each and every stand out and causing quite a few chuckles. Although, I found the story to be a tiny bit choppy, it was an enjoyable read and the variety of characters also adds lots of spice to the story and the promise of future books to looks forward to and I can’t wait to read the next one.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!

The cover is sexy and awesome! It totally grabs my attention as a shifter lovin’ reader :)

This was such a fun and foxy read :) Violet is quirky, fun, and sassy. She is also quite hyper and has a thing for big bears. You definitely get an idea of all of her bad dates. You will love her date with Eustace…lol Her friend Henry is an awesome friend who is always trying to help her out.

Crag, what a name, sort of made him sound like a caveman. I totally fell in love with him and his back story.

I was totally entertained with this story :) I definitely laughed out loud and thoroughly enjoyed with whole story :) There is plenty of action with fights, potions, zombies, and so much more. Lynn’s writing and humor in this story worked wonderfully together. I have to go back and read book 1 because I want to read Erik’s story too!! The amusing part is I didn’t even realize that I already bought it…I’m such a book addict :) So look for that review in the future. And you can definitely read this story without having read book 1 yet because I didn’t feel like I was missing anything key except wanting to know more about Erik and Izzy :)

I recommend this story to my shifter lovin’ friends who want an entertaining action packed story with some humor mixed in.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review from the author.

This is my first introduction to the Jamesburg Shifters and I loved it. Ms. Red blended many of the things I love about a book together in such a way that she captured my attention from start to finish. So lets check those things off in case you love them too. First she gives us an intro to our main characters with a touch of humor. Then our hero and heroine meet passion and drama ignite. A backdrop of good versus evil. All woven well, so well that you forget who you are and become an integral part of the book.

And that my friends is one skilled author. Not sure whether to believe me or not then read a sample of the book I dare you. As for me I will continue to watch this author succeed and keep on reading from one of the best authors out there.

Thoroughly disappointed in how this book came out. The synopsis was very intriguing and I purchased it because of that, thinking it was going to be a worthwhile book. How wrong I was. I wish I could get a refund.

For starters, all the different POVs was annoying: reading too much R.R. Martin? Just plain irritating because I read from POVS that I didn't care about. Yeah, I get it that she needed to get the information to the reader, but if it's boring, it doesn't help it at all.
I didn't think that 'Bearing it All' was written very well. Violet, Viola and whatever the hell other names she was called sounded like a drug addict on a binge. She was just weird and crazy and not in a good way as Red so desperately tried to portray. She was nearly losing her shit at the fight seeing the Bear, but up close and personal she decides 'I can't' WTF? She definitely had a few loose screws.

Great read! Violet a curvy little fox shifter, with a history of failed relationships & Crag (aka Ash), a huge, reluctant pit fighting bear, with some serious anger management issues find each other. She wants to be chased and he wants to catch her. Not only is this a love story, but there's a crime story also. This series looks to be a good one and I will be reading more. Well worth a read.

Violet is a fox shifter who, after breaking up with her last boyfriend, is ready to settle down once and for all with a big, strong shifter. When she goes to a local pit fight event, she gets the chance to meet fighter and big, bad bear shifter, Crag Morgan/Ash. Crag and Violet connect, knowing they're mates, but Violet is wary because she wants Crag to chase her...rather than being a foregone conclusion and ending up with a broken heart. Crag does exactly what Violet wants. Crag though has a hidden past and is working for a very bad man who is collaborating with a witch to kidnap young girls. When Crag has finally had enough of being on the road, away from Violet, he decides to investigate this bad man and do something about his situation.

This was decidedly better than the first one in that a) there were few-no grammatical errors and b) this felt a lot less chaotic. Consider though that this book still presents multiple POVs thoughout, so my definition of chaotic and yours may differ. I still felt like this was better organized and the plot a bit tighter than the first. For the most part though, it was the unexplained things that bugged me, even though, overall this was still an enjoyable story. I wanted to know why Crag was willing to work for the guy who killed his brother, even in his desperate need for money? That seems extreme without a damn good reason. I wanted to know why Crag had two different names? The rules of the bear clans weren't established well enough to pull this off without irritating me. I wanted to know how Crag had NO clue that his boss was kidnapping girls, until he randomly decided to look into it. Just...a lot unexplained. Especially about the rules of this shifterverse. That's all about world building and this author isn't building it, she's just plopping us down into it. I also noticed one or two points in the story where I think sections of the book got moved around and it didn't make sense...like when Crag is thinking about how 12 hours earlier Violet had shut him down, but at this point in the book he hasn't seen her in weeks. So, Huh? That was probably originally intended to have been earlier in the story. I'll probably keep reading since I did notice improvement between Book 1 & 2 and unlike others, I wasn't really irritated with the characters and I appreciated the drawn out UST, so I did kinda like this one.

I liked this story but I found it hard to keep intreated in the first half of the story. It wasn’t bad, but I just felt that the first half could have been more...... more. The characters were cool. Crag was a big bear and I liked his personality and the way he went after Violet. She was something else. She wasn’t scared and went with the flow and I thought it was cute.

There was some suspense and action in the second half that hooked me. Maybe that’s what was missing from the first half. The action that pulled me in and the suspense that kept me hooked. I would read more from this series because I love the little town the author has created. 3 Stars #2OCCJD

Just Purrrrfect

This book is about love at first sight, forever love, mates for life. Meet the great shifters of Jamesburg, werebears, sexy fox, her best friend the turtle, bat, wolf, and a horrible crocodile. The great characters in a small ill' "Jamesburg" and all of the characters are well rounded, as in complete believable people . Described in a way as to bring each one alive. I could see myself visiting this town, and becoming friends with most of them. There is never any lag time, never a dull moment, and captures the reader's attention the whole way thru.

Yummy big bear shifter meets lively little fox shifter and Violet is in for the surprise of her life when she gets dragged to the cage fights. Come to think of it, Crag is in for a shock too. Neither of them were looking for their mate, but guess what? That is when you meet them.

I haven't read about fighters before so I was looking forward to reading this and as per usual with a Lynn Red story, this book fully lived up to my expectations. I love the way Lynn writes her characters. You get to see what they are like through actions, not just 'telling'.

This is the second in the Jamesburg series, but it works as a stand alone too with NO cliff hanger. That being said, I believe you will enjoy this book more if you read the first one first as some of the characters from that book are in this one. I liked that a lot BTW. It's always good to catch up with old friends. I enjoyed this story even more than the first one and I can't wait to see what Lynn has up her sleeve for the next book.

The plot line is very original and some of the ideas in this story surprised me a lot. Lynn has such a good imagination and her world building is very detailed in that you get to know a lot of the secondary characters as well as their town. It all seems like you could just go visit and get to meet these people.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys shape-shifter books. I had a blast reading it. One last thing, I bought the first book of the series but was given a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Delightfully Entertaining!

A copy of Bearing It All was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Violet is a slightly nervous fox with a habit of falling fast and hard for bears; but each time she does it ends up breaking her heart. She has decided to protect her heart this time around and look for steamy sex instead, without emotional attachment.

Crag is a cage fighting werebear focused on avenging his brother's death at any cost. The minute he lays eyes on Violet's luscious curves his priorities shift; suddenly he longs for the adorable redheaded fox to see beyond the fighter he's always been.

The mysterious disappearances of young women, both human and shifters, has Jamesburg on edge. The traveling fighters are under surveillance and Crag's reptilian manager is willing to do whatever it takes to keep his prize fighter in the ring.

A fast paced adventure full of sexy shifters, romance and mystery, Bearing It All is the second novel in The Jamesburg Shifters series. Each story is a full length, stand alone novel that can be read in any order. Complete from start to finish with no cliffhanger endings, I would recommend starting at the beginning of the series if possible because some characters do reoccur, but it is not necessary. A well written paranormal romance that is sure to delight fans of bears, wolves, foxes, hyenas, hedgehogs and squirrels, this menagerie of shifters is pure entertainment from start to finish!

I was given this book by author Lynn Red for an honest review. This is book 2 of the Jamesburg Shifter series by the author.

Violet is a were-fox who is always chasing men and getting her heart broken. Crag is a were-bear and an underground boxer/fighter with a dark past. Fate pulls them together and they are both just looking for a one night stand but fate has other plans for them and with interference from others they find love.

I loved reading this book because of Crag and Violet. 2 totally different people that just seem to mesh together to make a perfect couple. I have nothing bad to say about this book. The flow of the story line was great, and so were the characters from start to finish.

Were-bear, were-fox, werewolf, a witch and a were-croc all in this paranormal romance book. You will laugh, cry and get mad but you will still love this book.

Any shifter paranormal romance reader would love to get their hands on this book and I must say this book has sexual content so it is more for the mature reader.

I had such a fun time reading this book. Bearing it all is the second book of the Jamesburg Shifters and it does not fail to entertain the reader. The cast of characters continues on from the first book but we get to meet some new faces with the introduction of Crag and Violet. Crag is a werebear fighting machine. Violet is the little fox shifter who heart he wants to catch. The visuals the author is able to create through her words gives the reader a chance to see what she sees as she is writing. We get the passion of the characters and we get to chuckle right along with the author when we envision a little fox and big old bear playing in the woods. If you enjoyed the first book, you will love Bearing it all. I for one cannot wait to see who Lynn Red is going to introduce us to in her next Jamesburg Shifters book.

Holy cow Lynn does it again!

Another Jamesburg Shifter book that kept screaming at me to finish it! Finish it NOW! I love this one; I think it’s my favorite of all of her books. Violet and Ash (Viola and Crag!) are fantastic characters! And of course you cannot possibly forget Jenga and Atlas! Or Eric! Mustn’t forget him or he might get mad!

I love the way Lynn writes, she draws you into the story in such a way that you’re not just reading a book or seeing it in your mind, you’re actually THERE alongside the characters and LIVING it with them! You cry and moan with them; scream and rant and even feel each and every ache and pain as they defeat the forces attempting to hold them back. I am so glad I found her books and started reading them, (even if it wasn’t in order! Whoops!) And I can’t wait to read more!!! You don’t HAVE to read them in order, however I highly suggest it since the jokes further down the line will make more sense!

If you are familiar with To Catch a Wolf (Alpha Werewolf Shifter Romance) (The Jamesburg Shifters) by Lynn Red then you will understand the following statement: A fox meets a bear in a town filled with colorful shifting folk let the laughter and adventure commence.

The second installment of The Jamesburg Shifters is filled with the same hotness and hilarity as the first book in this series. I fell in love with the heroine and hero and was thrilled to catch up with characters from the first book. Is this a stand alone - yes, but why would anyone miss the first book with all of the 5 star ratings both have received?

I recommend this book to shifter fans that like steaming hot scenes and laugh out loud antics along with a touch of danger and intrigue.

I was given this book by author Lynn Red for an honest review. This is book 2 of the Jamesburg Shifter series.

An absolute must read!

Bearing It All is a fabulous story!

It's endearing and laugh out loud funny.
The character's passion and joy will draw you in immediately.
Violet is tired of chasing after unsuccessful relationships, that is until Crag rolls into town. He's a cage fighter traveling from town to town fighting to pay back a debt. When Crag meets Violet he sees what she really wants and has promised to chase her until he, and she knows, that he has caught her. And once Crag began his chase no obstacle were going to stand in his way.
They both want the same thing, to love and care about someone special who loves and cares for them in return.

Although this is the second book in the series it can definitely be read as a stand alone. The characters are well developed and a joy to get to know.

She is a timid, curvy, shifter, unlucky in love and fed up with doing all the chasing and getting no where.

Up until now, he has led a lonely existence, stuck paying for debts that are well paid off already. His shifter self will never truly rest. Until meeting her, for the first time in a long time he feels calm.

Will it work out for them both? Will the chase and catch finally stop?

This is the second book I have read in this series, I have enjoyed this series so far.

This story was a bit predictable in places, I love the thought of shifter people, and not just the normal werewolves.

There are some questions raised in this book, which I hope are made clear in future books. Like why does the salamander drink so much? Why isn’t Jamie in a relationship? and so the list goes on.

Another great short read, can’t wait to read the next>>

This is a great sequel to ‘To Catch a Wolf’. Along with some of my favorite characters from the first story, Ms. Red has introduced a new set of MCs in ‘Bearing it All’.
Ash has been betrayed and is still paying the price. Violet is struggling to recover from a bad relationship. Can they help each other come to terms with the past? And will they survive the trials coming at them full steam ahead like a locomotive?
I loved these two characters together, and the storyline was great. The twists and turns in the plot held my attention and provided lots of entertainment. I look forward to more stories about the Jamesburg shifters. I received a copy of this book as a gift in return for an honest review. I can happily recommend this book to anyone who enjoys this genre!

If you love shifters this a book to read. Ms. Red has done it again! This is the second book in her Jamesburg series and it is just as good as the first! This story is about a fox shifter named Violet and a bear shifter named Ash AKA Crag and it is lust at first sight!! All they wanted was to scratch an itch, but they got so much more. There is a backstory about kidnapped girls, but I don't want to give an spoilers away, so you have to read this book to find out. You will see some of the characters from the first book including the Mayor Erik and his mate, plus you will meet some new ones also. This is a must read.

I love shifter crack and was super excited to see this bear shifter release. I knew it would be steamy goodness, what I was not expecting was the humor. It was hilarious, over the top, and at the same time steamy and a bit suspenseful. It has been a while since I have read a book that has all of those components. I was a bit worried I would feel left out because I have not read book one in this series, but to be honest if I did not know there was a book one I would not have thought twice about it. This truly is a stand alone read. I am definitely going to be reading book one in this series now that I have gotten a taste for Jamesburg Shifters.

I received this book from the author for a fair and honest review.

I won't go into telling you what the book is about, you can read that from the description, but I will tell you how much I loved this book. I love shifters of any kind. Bears especially. There is a touch of everything in this book. Shifters, witches, seedy characters, humor, and sex you can use your imagination on. This is part of a series, however, it can be read as a stand alone. I will say though that once you read one of Lynn's books you will want to read more. Can't wait to see what comes next.

I'm kind of split with this series. The split being (1)I'm glad that each book is a stand alone book. (2)I'm sorry that the people you meet in one book don't appear in the other book but they all live in the same town. It best be a very big town. But it is by Lynn Red so it is a GREAT STORY , like everything I have read of hers. But this is a funny book... with a fun love story. Of course problems come up that they solve as they work toward each other to a final , funny, very enjoyable conclusion.I liked it so much I wanted more...LOL

Shifter Love

Back to Jamesburg. This is a town of shifters, all types. The cage fights are coming to town and trouble with it in the form of disappearing girls. Violet and her friend go to the fight where Violet is fascinated with Crag/Ash, a werebear and the top fighter. Their romance does not go smoothly because they both have a lot of baggage. Will they get their happy ever after? Will the missing girls be found? It's always an adventure when you come to Jamesburg.

FUN READ

I love a book with a main plot and several sub plots. And of-course it had a fabulous romance. I can picture it in my mind, very short woman fox shifter with a huge male bear shifter. But why is he cage fighting? And why is he cage fighting for a sleazy crocodile shifter? And what is that croc up to? Why are teenage girls disappearing? Why aren't you reading this book to find out? It is a fun read.

I cannot describe how much I loved all the stories in this series. I laughed so much at times that I snorted, cried and woke my husband up from a dead sleep. I would love to visit the town where the story takes place. I have enjoyed all the stories in this series. I felt as if I was "in" the story. It read well.
I liked the characters. I will never be able to think of yoga pants in the same way. :)
