I bought this book with the original title, The Girl for The Job. Because I was writing my own book, I decided to wait on reading. As my book was nearing its final formatting processes, I ordered the audible - Undercover Copper. On my daily walks I found myself captivated by this true crime memoir of Danni’s undercover life with London’s Metropolitan Police. The narrator had me believing it was Danni telling me her adventures, her undercover life, her personal defeats and triumphs. Absolutely recommend this book for anyone interested in the real world of police undercover, especially young women looking for a similar career and older women who dreamed of entering law enforcement but for varying life reasons never pursued their dream. I’m glad I waited to read this book, as I found many similarities in our careers, yet was fascinated with how undercover work was handled in London compared with the United States. I’d love to meet Danni, compare UC stories and the quirky aspects of our careers. I hope more women in law enforcement will share their stories.
