The Warblers Point series is back and it’s not all beers and Irish accents this time, revenge is being sought after and Murphy and Sophie won’t give up until they’re back on top.
After the embarrassing display of Liam and Finn fighting over NOT wanting Sophie in her front yard, the gossip vine has made her to look like the town tramp which she isn’t and it has not only affected her social life but her business life as well and she only has the O’Leary boys to thank for it.
Murphy Ryan, hunky Irishman of Warblers Point, can’t stand the fact that he lost his girl to pretty boy Booker James, aka The Sheila. After Murphy lost Fiona, he realized he wants her back in his life because he believes they belong together. He will do whatever it takes to make sure Fiona is back in his arms and as far away from the California boy as possible.
Watch how Murphy and Sophie take it upon themselves to not only seek revenge but get what they want at any cost, no matter who they hurt. The lives, relationships and sanity of the O’Leary family are tested, questioned and pushed to the brink in the second book of the Warblers Point Series: Beers, Lies and Alibis.
When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven't turned back since.
You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.
I currently reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where the sun is always shining and there is a trail waiting to be hiked on every corner. I share a lovely and warm home with the love of my life and my five, four-legged children.
The book just ended...Where is book 3?? Not only did it just end but the series was released years ago...so I’m assuming we aren’t going to get a 3rd book! I wish I would have realized the book was released so long ago and that it ended with so many unanswered questions. If I would have, no matter how much i love all of Meghan’s books, I would have passed on this series.
I loved this Beers Lies and Alibis just as much as I loved Beers Hens and Irishmen.
We start out with Fiona not feeling completely comfortable in Booker’s life. Seriously, girl, he loves you. Suck up the celebrity and deal with it for him.
I had to get that out. I’m sorry.
If you love someone as much as Fiona loves Booker and Booker loves Fiona, why would you let some little insecurities get in the way of you happiness?
Because she is human. I think we all have felt that one time or another in our lives.
Then there is Murphy and Sophia, both whom are on my I’m not happy with you list. I think I need a new Goodreads shelf.
Murphy and Sophia are both jealous and angry and out to destroy the O’Leary family.
I kind of hate them right now.
There is a lot of drama in this book. There is also some resolution and some falling apart and … it was fabulous.
Dear Meghan Quinn, there had better be another book after this one. :)
I loved it. I loved the family just as much as in the first book. Ma had me sad and laughing at loud in certain parts of the book. The whole family made my heart hurt and feel good at the same time.
Loved!
Thank you so much for the copy that you gifted me! I cannot wait for the (hopefully there is one) next book in this series! I will be grabbing it as soon as it is released!
I was not expecting to dislike the characters in this book. The only ones with redeeming qualities were Blair and Finn and Tipper. The rest were all jerks. But I needed to finish it because I was already invested in the story. I hope the 3rd one doesn't disappoint.
Not my cup of tea. I really enjoyed the first book, but this was the exact opposite of what I like. I hope the next one is better, more like the first.
WTF?!?! I can't believe it ended like that?!?!!?? I think there was supposed to be a third but it was never written so the second one left me hanging way too much. 😢
Wow. I'm shocked at the good rating. This book is a hot mess. The great characters from the first book felt like they were re-written by a teenage girl trying to emulate 1980s Mills and Boon. One male character wrote handwritten letters, (I love letters, but shudder... they were so sappy & cringe-y, I wondered if It was scripted for a soap opera). Another male hero cum character acted as if he was oblivious to the sl*tty b*tch trope - oops, she's accidentally losing clothing and he puts himself in situations to get taken advantage of.... but when the girlfriend finds out, he thinks it's unreasonable for her to be upset and nothing's ok until the girlfriend realises she's wrong and apologies. oh no. I'm as anti-3rd wave feminist as they come, really. It's a nightmare... So it's not that. (this isn't the place for politics... except to say unless you are 15 with no self esteem, I don't know who would like or respect these characters. They're all beta males with scenarios written for a soap opera). Book one was great. This follow-up, was miserable.
I’m so conflicted over this book. I truly enjoyed the novel but I wish there were more details in regards to plot holes and closure at the end. While I think we all hope that the author will eventually release at least an epilogue to tie things together in a nice bow, that has not yet been the case. The second part of this series has the residents of Warbler’s point dealing with the fire at The Sleeping Potato, village gossip, family illness, and even the fallout of the effects of mental illness and the tricks your mind can play on itself when you find yourself seeking a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Two couples find their HEA, one couple finds tragedy, and the book ends on a surprising cliffhanger. This series is a definite departure from Meghan Quinn’s normal romantic comedy.

Amazing 2nd installment of the Warblers Point Series. Great characters, riveting story line, can't wait for the next book. Overall a great read. Thank you for making such believable characters.
Didn’t think this series could get any better....boy, was I wrong. The O’Leary siblings sure have some hard times with their loved ones. The love of family, friend and faith comes through loud and clear. Can’t wait until Bradon gets his heart handed to him! Book 3 can’t come too soon.
Oh this series is so so good. This book is gonna keep you addicted. It's going to leave you with your jaw on the floor it's so good. Not sure I have the patience to wait for book 3 I sure hope its soon.
What a bunch of dysfunctional eejits! No way in hell should Booker and Fiona be together. The other women have severe mental issues. Looks like the author wised up and quit this series.
I can't wait for you to finish this series.I hope it come out soon. I will then give you the review you deserve . I recommend that everyone has to read this series .
Book 2 in the Warblers point series and I am going to start by declaring the MASSIVE unresolved cliffhanger that this book ends in!!! I don't regret reading this series, it was a great read with a lot of drama but that ending....... and no sign of book 3 all these years later just leaves you hanging A LOT!
Fiona is struggling with living away from her family in LA in Bookers world, she feels lonely and inferior so when a family accident means she gets to head home, relief hits her to feel like she belongs again. Booker has mishap after mishap on his way to meet up with Fiona again in Warblers Point; but a gorgeous woman keeps attracting his attention and throws a small spanner in the works on top of their already strained new relationship, can Booker and Fiona get through it? You will have to give it a read to see.
Murphy and Sophie in this book WOW, there are few kind words I have to write about these two. Revenge is all they can think of and is that motive behind every scheming thing they do to destroy the lives of every member of the O'Reilly family and boy do the ripples cause some riptides!!
The book extends out to Finn and Booker's sister and their developing romance which was sweet and about damn time Finn did something for himself!
The novel covered a lot of drama, resolved some issues - created new ones and caused mayhem and havoc everywhere thanks to Sophie especially. Then as I said at the start, that ending.....bloody hell that ending, I mean there are just no words to describe my jaw hitting the floor realising there is no book 3. One day Meghan, please one day!
The second book of the Warblers Point Series is all about seeking revenge and not caring who you hurt or what you do in order to get it.
Sophie and Murphy team up in this book and their main goal is to take down the O'LEARYS. You will never guess what they do, who they do and how they don't care how they do it.
All the main characters are back: Fiona, Booker, Liam, Finn, Bradon and of course, the ever crazy but very entertaining Mary Margaret, who in my opinion brings the comedic relief in a serious and intense setting.
Liam (fans face) he is the perfect dad and if you didn't love him before...you are going to want to jump his bones after this book.
Finn (swoon) is trying to win his girl back and there is only one way he knows how, the old fashion way....letters. (your hearts will go pitter patter)
Bradon(Yum) is the instigator like always. The pretty boy with asshole remarks that always get him in trouble.
Fiona - Not going to lie she needs a come to Jesus moment.
Booker (heart THROB) I love him, like love him, love him. He is the perfect book boyfriend. Sweet and patient and will do anything for his girl. You can't help but love him.
Are there accents? Why of course, It wouldn't be The Warblers Point Series if you didn't get a good portion of Mary Margaret's native tongue.
Will I laugh? Hell to the yes! All I will say is giant rosary, Looker the street Hooker and two old bittys.
Is there a possibility of a book hangover? Yes, yes, yes. It's hard not to be emerged into the book where the characters make you feel a part of the crazy small town. You will be begging for more....especially after the ending:)
I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good romance, a good laugh and a good whole-hearted family that is not afraid to throw fists and tell each other the way it is.
I absolutely LOVED the first book in this series - Beers, Hens and Irishmen - and was eagerly awaiting this second book (hence I purchased the second it went on sale and finished it in just over a day) and it did not disappoint! Bradon is officially my #1 book boyfriend, I'm so glad that he had a more prominent role in this book... the first book was a Bradon tease! This book was hilarious and steamy (just what I love) and the Irish accents are amazing! OH... and let's not forget about dear, old Mary Margaret... absolutely love that crazy ass woman!!! I'm also throwing it out there that I'm team Murphy, even though he's a bit of a villain to say the least ;) THERE BETTER BE A BOOK THREE!!!
The O'Leary's stole my heart in the first book and I was excited to see what was in store for them in the second installment of this series. The second book has it all- laughs, love, tears, joys, and questions!! I highly recommend this book and series- its a great read and a wonderful story about love, family, and never giving up on the one thing you want most.
Holy cannoli......for fuck sakes (favourite line ever!), you left me hanging!!! Ok I'm gonna have a serious hangover now! I just found Meghan and now I'm addicted. Awesome book, by a hilarious author!
Well the second instalment of these hot Irishmen was just as amazing as the first one! Love that nothing or anyone was off limits. Need more please......
Seriously????? Sophie is supposed to be a sweetheart, but WOW! Okay theses characters are totally relatable -well except for the Irish accent part. I love them all! My heart breaks for them, and I am dying here. How can the book end like that? There has to be more......I need more....I will forever be wondering what is happening in Warblers Point. I need these people to have their HEA....
Omg. What the...just finished this second book in the series. While some questions were answered and some things sorted out. Others left you shocked and wanting more. Please please continue with this story
