I think every reader needs to start doing this to force authors to write a quick Recap chapter, which readers can skip if they remember, and those who don't won't stop reading the series.
Great plot and unique and interesting dynamics but the quality of the writing has deteriorated with each successive book. I get the occasional spelling and grammar error even with the large number in this series since it happens with all these authors trying to churn up multiple series in record time. Unfortunately I’m not a fan of plot holes or sloppy writing. Things like two Maria’s in the story or two Andreis. What’s the logic of having main characters with the same name and just points to a lack of attention to detail. Add the desire to make the MC too much of a comedian and you have him trying harder to crack jokes rather than make logical battle decisions. The battles themselves and the flashbacks or also confusing as hell with characters doing things that don’t make sense within the context of the story. I really hope the authors slow down and produce a proofread and strong book 4 since the story holds promise for a solid series if they think things out more carefully.
I received a review copy of this book. The Hunter's Code is the third book in this series, and it's a whopper. All kinds of things are afoot, family mansions are explained (somewhat), new relations are exposed (ok, well, no surprise there for those keeping track), and we roust more enemies out of the woodwork. It's an all around great story, and if you've not started reading this series yet, but you're a LitRPG fan, then I ask you, what are you waiting for? Wonderful storytelling, and I can't wait for the next one.
I liked this book better than the last one. Finally, the protagonist gets some important things of the main story done. I like that the hero is not too OP and keeps having setbacks and mishapps constantly.
The newly uncovered secrets are mildly interesting but don´t seem to hold big potential for the closer future.
There are hardly any translation/omission errors left.
All in all, the book is rather solid and i am looking forward to the next one.
is a series that I get an ARC of. I check the translation from Russian to English. This is one of the stories that once I finish, I'm looking forward to getting the next ARC in the series. It's just a fun read for me.
8/10 The reviews of the rest of this series will show the same review. I'm trying to help out authors by putting up reviews for the ARCs that have been sent to me.
One of my favorite authors. Always gives a good story.
Too many plot holes contrived and not with unnecessary ones that just suggest sloppy work/execution on part of the authors.
The first two books were okay this the third though,.. The story seems to spiral and a feel of sloppy and choppy execution pervades a lot of it especially the last quarter or so.
So Alexander continues to enter dangerous Rifts. Kills beasts with a precision and with what he calls “fun”. He is a Hunter after all. He’s making good lifelong friends. I hope. Made an outstanding enemy. It’s all fun, right? It sure is. Humor, action, adventure, great world. Recommend!
I love the pet system/companion system of the Galaxius clan. I think there will be much more depth to that as the MC unlocks the secrets of his clan and the manor. Curious to see how they will play politics now that the MC keeps getting pushed deeper into the Noble circles.
I love this book. I love this series. I have laughed out loud 5 or 6 times just reading this one book. I highly recommend this whole series. And I wish I could read the next four books right now. Waaannnnttt
Again, there’s a lot of action, strategy, and scheming. You’d think people would figure out they weren’t dealing with some clueless guy by now, but no. So, of course, the fun continues
I wasn't sure of these books at first. This is definitely growing on me. The main character becomes more dynamic and engaging. He's learning about himself and creating goals. The world is not flat that has so many pieces and layers. It is a pretty good listen.
Ok, I am officially addicted to this series. Alex (Xander) is leveling up and is not taking and back talk from anyone. What is the best way to get money? Allow people to try to kill you and then collect the loot.
i dont get it. on book 1 we established that his father only created a fake identity for him. but now there is history of this identity and its related to his blood?
This is book number 3 in the series and we see the MC starting to build a group of people around him he can start relying on. He continues to strive to build his strength and skills while fighting off enemies and monsters. There is quite a bit of action and adventure, some hints of romance, and a fair amount of humor. It’s definitely an entertaining read!
