this book helped disciple me in a way Ive never been discipled. it gave me freedom to be a part but not the end all be all. it gave me permission to be on mission unapologetically.
I heard Derwin L. Gray speak at the ResGen Men’s Summit in Sioux Falls, South Dakota earlier this year. I could tell he was someone who liked apologetics and was energizing in his delivery of the Gospel. I knew then I would need to read this book, and I found it be rich with practical, yet bold invitations to step into our callings as ambassadors for Christ. The world can be dark, cold and challenging for an agent of change. This book identifies so many worthy “why’s” - as in ‘why’ we need to charge into our collective invitations from Christ.
So many beautiful nuggets from this book stay in my mind and I think about it on a regular basis. It’s pages are filled with the truth of what it is to walk with Jesus, being lit up with His love - all that means for ourselves and for our relationships with others. I’ve sent copies of this book to many friends!
