His cultivation is broken. His soul fractured. And he is trapped—locked inside a realm ruled by an unseen force that plays with fate like a gameboard.
The Incursion pulses through the land, each wave birthing stronger enemies and twisting the laws of reality. Li Wei stands alone, surrounded by beasts, cultivators, and otherworldly threats that only grow more relentless.
He cannot escape. He cannot retreat. The path forward is through tribulation—self-forged, self-summoned, and possibly fatal.
To survive, he must master the broken pieces of his blood, body, soul, and array. To endure, he must outwit the entity watching from the shadows. To win, he must break a cycle designed to kill him.
There is no peace. Only pressure. And the next pulse is coming.
On the one hand, i have to congratulate the author on his/her imagination and care put into the story. On the other, the love multi-angles around the protagonist and constant emotional drama is off-putting for me.
I liked the intrigues and motivation of some of the side characters, but found the protagonist once again acting too full of himself.
The English has improved, but it was of such a low standard that it's still quite poor. There are still many typos, including misspelling Wei's name. The fact that a wife keeps calling her husband big brother is very weird, a translation surface from digor perhaps but it really doesn't work in English, strong incestuous overtones. The plot is a bit slower, Wei is as easily distracted as a butterfly, but entertaining nonetheless
I think every reader needs to start doing this to force authors to write a quick Recap chapter, which readers can skip if they remember, and those who don't won't stop reading the series.
