Population Zero is a narrative which runs at a breakneck speed throughout, both engaging and breaking the rules of zombie fiction. The romance aspect is kept between the two young lovers who are being kept alive on the hope that their survival will ensure that they see each other again.
In the fallout of hideous zombie mutation they are just two people who praying to keep their humanity and to return to the life they had before this apocalypse.
