Kissed by A Vampire by Patricia A. Wolf

Sarah is not the type of girl to hook up, nor is she the type to fly on a plane, enjoy the surroundings of a beach and drum up a conversation with a stranger. For her best friend though she will do it, even if she is miserable every step of the way. When she meets Michael during the co-ed bachelor party she has no idea who he is or the fact that he is a vampire. Her inhibition out of the way, Sarah is drawn to Michael in a way she knows is something special.
Fun story, the beginning with Sarah on the plane was hilarious. This story definitely could lead to a sequel, you don't know much about Michael's story but it is intriguing and I found I wanted more.

Loving Ms. Wrong by C.J. Ellisson
She was not his type but everything Marcus learned about her had him wanting to find out more. Katrina was having a girls night with her friend and the theme was naughty. When Marcus offer to see Katrina home a pair of dice with all sorts of sexual positions peaks his interest, but he is not the only one Katrina wants to find out more about the man who is so opposite herself.

Quite intriguing. I loved the idea of this story with the sex dice and you had a metrosexual man and a free spirit, they mesh. Delightful to read.

Marissa Engles is spending the weekend in Vegas with her sisters and best friend, even though they are pushing for her to get wild and live free, Marissa is not interested. That is until Thunder From Down Under dancer Chris King makes an appearance and a surfer names Jason who keeps her perplexed.

Magic in Sin City, Marissa doesn't know it yet but her life is about to drastically change but who will be the man who sets her path in motion? Interesting story, this has a whole fantasy element that was fascinating to see what would happen to Marissa.

A is for…by Lila Dubois
When a new game is introduced in an exclusive BDSM club, it is met with intrigue but also apprehension. Submissive Anna has no choice but to participate, but her greatest fear is she will be given another a master who is not Master Jensen. Master Jensen has wanted to bond with Anna, but she has been reluctant but this new exercise as a sub may just give her the push she needs to make a decision.

Seductive, this was a creative twist for BDSM stories. I liked that there was a history with Anna and Jensen that is explored even further.

Excellent anthology, each stories heat level elevates as the book goes on.

The Beckoning of Beguiling Things
By Calinda B.

Can 24 hours really change your life? Marissa Engles is about to find out. When she heads to Las Vegas with her sisters and her best friend, she meets sexy, Thunder from Down Under dancer Chris King and hits the jackpot, in more ways than one.

A secret magical society, an evil sorcerer, and a powerful male watching her from the sidelines add to the intrigue. And King himself has a dark secret that may prove Marissa’s undoing. Everything hinges on whether Marissa’s willing to leap without looking and face the consequences.

REVIEW: (3.5 stars) THE BECKONING of BEGUILING THINGS is a short story in Calinda B’s contemporary, paranormal Beckoning series. I am not sure where it belongs in the series order but from what I could tell is appears to be a prequel of sorts.

We are introduced to Marissa Engles, a woman whose magic has yet to be unleashed. During a twenty four hour period, our heroine will be approached by a number of men all willing to make Marissa their own-but Marissa only has eyes for one man and that man may be the one to open Marissa up to her future and a dark world of witches, warlocks, demons and magic.

The storyline is written from alternating first person and third person points of view. There is plenty of information but not enough to let the reader know the truth about Marissa’s future and her awakening powers. The sex scenes are intimate and steamy but the relationship is doomed from the start. We can only hope that whatever happens in the future Marissa will find the man who calls to her heart.

As a short story, The Beckoning of Beguiling Things is an interesting and compelling read but without any prior knowledge of the series I was slightly lost as to the premise and what it may have foretold.

Marcus, the polished metrosexual who hates to get his hands dirty, stumbles upon the ladies at a local bar. Sparks fly when the two meet, courtesy of a 12-sided sex dice and a night neither one will ever forget.

REVIEW: (3.75 stars) LOVING MS.WRONG is a short, erotic story from CJ Ellisson’s Walk on the Wild Side series that focuses on a girl’s night out and one night of passion. A quick read where Carla’s friend Katrina finds herself in her darkened apartment with the sexy Marcus and a whole night to explore what it is she has been missing.

Our heroine is a woman whose sexual desires are low to non existent and Marcus is the man to prove that beneath her hardened exterior, there exists a passion and sexuality that is waiting to be released. The story focuses on trust, a back story of family pain, and the beginning of a relationship where intimacy and imagination are about to be explored.

Written from alternating first person points of view (Marcus and Katrina) the provocative storyline can be read as a stand alone and the reader does not need to read the previous instalments in CJ’s Walk on the Wild Side series to understand the premise.

REVIEW: (3.5 stars)A IS FOR is the first storyline in Lila Dubois’s adult, contemporary, erotic, BDSM Checklist BDSM Erotic Romance series. This is Master Jensen and Anna’s storyline revolving around the letter A. From anal to animal play nothing is off limits unless your Dom is also your lover.

The majority of the storyline is graphic BDSM play. This is a lifestyle conducive to only a particular segment of society and the graphic imagery may not be for everyone. Nothing is off limits; pain and humiliation are part of the bargain; and in the end, declarations of love wipe the slate clean until another day.

I enjoyed this one a lot as the main pair really did have something unique during their brief encounter at the resort but due to issues beyond Michael's control couldn't meet again the next evening. You've got a heroine who is amazingly terrified of flying to the point where I was laughing my head off at her antics and a hero that I want to know more about. As they navigate their real introduction to one another back in the real world we get a couple who really match up well with a side of very spicy chemistry. I'd love to see more from both of them as they both were intriguing characters.

I'm intrigued enough to want to look at more from this series. While I found it a bit confusing at times to know who was the good guy and who was the bad I think the premise has me interested enough to try more. Marissa's interactions with Chris and the controlling nature of her aunt made me interested in seeing where this story will go. I want to learn more about the society and exactly where Marissa fits in this world. This is dominated in many respects by trying to explain a bit of the world but the heat level wasn't bad at all.

Marcus, the polished metrosexual who hates to get his hands dirty, stumbles upon the ladies at a local bar. Sparks fly when the two meet, courtesy of a 12-sided sex dice and a night neither one will ever forget.

A classic opposites attract story with some smoking hot times. I enjoyed seeing both of them break out of their normal comfort zones in order to find something that might just be a good bet in the long run. While Katrina has a lot of issues and worries she is realistic about her part in them and what she wants to do in order to resolve them. She's a bit of a hippie but not in a bad way as she really does have a grounded aspect to her personality that isn't obvious from the outside. Marcus isn't as buttoned up as he thinks and as he uncovers more about Katrina he realizes that maybe they have more in common than outward appearances suggest. Fun story and I will continue to follow more from this author.

Very spicy BDSM story with a wonderful twist. I have to say I was in some respects jealous of Anna in regard to the attention that her Master pays to her. I wouldn't personally be comfortable with everything they did but I liked the main message to this story was expanding your horizons by being willing to push your boundaries. I think everyone hits a point in their relationship where you wonder "Is this really what I am going to do for the rest of my life?" and then by this enforced game by the club they belong to the boundaries get tested in ways that surprise both of them. I liked how attentive they were to one another and think that the twist was very well done. I had hoped that we'd get something great at the end and it made me very happy to read the conclusion.

I love the idea of short stories. I love the idea that you can plunge into a new world with great characters and have a perfectly self-contained bite of bliss.

And then I read a book of short stories and that one perfect bite is never enough. Especially when crafted by brilliant authors such as these. The short stories contained in this volume are wonderful, funny, occasionally tear jerking and sexy as hell. And I want MORE of them. SO much more.

The volume kicks off with Kissed by a Vampire by Patricia A Wolf, which is exactly what it sounds like – Sarah has all but given up on love and finds herself wrapped up in a whirlwind romance with Michael (who happens to be a vampire) on a tropical island. It’s a lovely, fun, easy to read story that had me wrapped up in two lovers and their once in a lifetime, super hot connection. It was the perfect opening cocktail to this Girls Night Out

Loving Ms. Wrong by CJ Ellison is gorgeous and manages to tackle some pretty intense themes in its relatively short time span. Katrina gets talked into going out with her girlfriends for the evening and ends up getting stuck in her health food store with Marcus when a nasty storm hits the city. What begins as a chance happening between two people wishing they were anywhere else than where they found themselves, quickly turns into an endearing journey of two people healing each other and creating a connection that lasts so much longer than just one stormy night.

The Beckoning of Beguiling Things by Calinda B was my absolute favorite of the volume and the one whose ending had me screaming the loudest for more. There is an incredibly complicated world hinted at in this story that I’m desperate to know more about; a world full of magic and alien beings, dark and light, good and evil. And it’s all swirling around Marissa, who is just looking for a fun getaway weekend in Las Vegas and Chris, a dancer from Thunder Down Under and their fated meeting. Their relationship is super steamy, but also quite tender and heartbreaking. Marissa has an incredible future laid out before her and I’d very much like to see how it all pans out.

A is For… by Lila Dubois had me from the first paragraph. There are a lot of BDSM stories floating around right now and it seems like the main objective of the majority of those stories has less to do with the characters and story and more to do with simply shocking readers. Lila Dubois has created something completely different with this story, however. It’s hot and fun and utterly romantic. Anna is the perfect sub – obedient and compliant in almost every way. Master Jensen is her perfect counterpart in that he knows exactly how to push her to the line and how to steer her to the exact point of balance between pain and pleasure. When a new challenge is set before them, they end up stretching their comfort zones together to reach a new perfect balance.

This book is a wonderful compilation of four short stories that come together to form the perfect girl’s night out formula – one part fantasy, one part fairy tale, one part hot sex, one part romance, four parts incredible writing.

Girl’s Night Out would be a perfect beach read this summer – or Spring Break read, or weekend read or Wednesday read. You get the picture, pick this book up, jump in and enjoy the experience.

Have a sexy night in with GNO Volume 2

Ahh, a good old-fashioned Girl's Night Out, what gal doesn't love going out with her friends for a night on the town... or something a little more risque. This second volume in the GNO anthology series is a nice blend of contemporary romance with some erotic and some paranormal thrown in for good measure. I came for C.J. Ellison's entry but decided I simply couldn't pass up the chance to try these other authors too.

The anthology opens with KISSED BY A VAMPIRE by Patricia A. Wolf. I did some digging but I don't think Wolf has any other published works yet so this one is going to be a series opener. I didn't feel like it had much substance beyond the love scenes—sizzle!—and it played on a vampire romance trope I don't care for but I'm interested in seeing more by Wolf (and that's why I like anthologies—to get a feel for an author's voice) as her career blossoms. (3 stars)

LOVING MS. WRONG by C.J. Ellisson was my pull into the anthology and Ellison does not disappoint. If you've enjoyed her other Walk on the Wild Side series characters you'll probably enjoy this too. I was a little meh on the heroine's personality but I liked the idea of someone who thought sex was no big deal being 'enlightened' by a caring and giving lover. Sexy and a little romantic. Definitely one for readers who liked their couple stranded with nothing to do but get it on. (4 stars)

Taking us to Vegas, THE BECKONING OF BEGUILING THINGS by Calinda B., promised to be a fun one but I found the plot really disjointed. It was flighty and it felt... well, it felt like it was set in the 90's. It was, however, the one that most fit the GNO theme. I never did get into it but I think that might be an 'it's me, not you' kind of thing. It was a little amusing at points but overall it felt rather flibbertigibbet. (2 stars)

Rounding out the group is A IS FOR... by Lila Dubois, the one I almost didn't read. BDSM is far from my cup of tea and this is some pretty hardcore stuff. But I gave it a shot and while I found it interesting in a National Geographic kind of way—oh, so that's what that means! moments galore—it was the unexpected romance toward the end that made it worth reading. It's very well written (though I don't think it fit the GNO theme at all) and while I found most of the sex cringe-inducing or just plain 'ewww' I was glad I discovered who the characters (IMHO) really were outside of the club environment. I'd recommend for sure for BDSM fans and those curious. (3 stars)

While it wasn't an anthology I'll be raving about, I think this was an excellent one for readers who want to sample these authors' respective styles. Plenty sexy, just enough romantic, a nice sampler at a great price point.

Notes: ARC received via author.

Kissed by a Vampire by Patricia A. Wolf 3.5 Stars
Michael, a vampire, thinks he's all alone in the world. He doesn't know of any other vampire anywhere. He meets a human woman, Sarah, and he falls instantly in love. Can she accept him for what he is or will she run fast and far?
This was a fantastic story but it left me with too many questions. I hope this author turns this book into a series so that readers can have answers for those questions.

Loving Ms. Wrong by C.J. Ellisson 5 Stars
Thrown together by friends and a rain storm, Katrina and Marcus become fast, fun, and flirty friends. There's only one problem. Katrina has issues from her past that prevent her from enjoying intimacy and the actual act of sex. To Marcus, that sounds like a challenge.
I love Katrina's boldness in talking about sex and per past experiences. I'm impressed with Marcus' ability to understand and have patience with Katrina. Not only does he want to sleep with her but he wants to help her overcome these obstacles without pushing her into anything she doesn't want to do. This book is part of Walk on the Wild Side - Best Friends Books series. Fantastic!!! I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

The Beckoning of Beguiling Things by Calinda B. 4 Stars
This story involved a lot in a short amount of time. I think big things are in store for Marissa. She doesn't yet know the power that is contained within her.
It takes a minute to fully grasp what is happening. This is the beginning of Marissa's story and it just wets your appetite for what is to come. I hope to see Chris in some future book, as I really enjoyed them together in this story.

A is for... by Lila Dubois 5 Stars
This book took me by complete surprise! As the characters got more into their scenes, I felt I was personally going through some of the stronger emotions with Anna. I thought I was going to have to put the book down and take a break but I found that I couldn't do that. I needed to keep reading to find out what happens. The ending of the story made the whole thing perfect! The story behind the BDSM was BRILLIANT!!! Lila Dubois has such an amazing writing style. I can't wait to read the next book in this series, B is for...

This is a fabulous collection of stories from some amazing authors.

Kissed by a Vampire by Patricia A. Wolf
This is the first of her books that I have ever read and I have to admit, I was instantly hooked. Sarah and Michael have that romance that every girl dreams of at some point in their life - tropical island, sexy vampire and amazing sex. Does life get any better? Of course, what would a good story be without some turmoil thrown in the mix. When Sarah finds out Michael's secret, she's not sure how to handle it, but when she figures it out...awesomeness! I really hope there will be more books for these two. I can truly see them having an intriguing life together!

Loving Ms. Wrong by C.J. Ellisson
This story is part of the Walk on the Wild Side series. Marcus, Tony's best friend, finally gets his story. C.J. has a way with her writing that just pulls you in and leaves you begging for more. The sexual tension is what makes this book so amazing. Of course everyone loves a good sex scene, but sometimes you just need that build up so that when that sexy scene happens you're just as satiated as the characters...C.J. Ellisson does that with this book and still manages to leave you wanting it to never end! I am truly looking forward to more of the lovable characters C.J. creates.

The Beckoning of Beguiling Things by Calinda B
For me, the story started out a little slow, but then it gained momentum and BAM!!!!! Marissa and Chris have this instantaneous attraction for each other that just steams up the pages. I will definitely have to read the other Beguiling books because this really took you for some twists and turns that you weren't expecting. Although I do feel I am missing something somewhere, but that is probably because I haven't read the other books yet. You just have to love a book that has hunky, sexy dancers in it though...YUMMY!

A is for... by Lila Dubois
This was my first true BDSM book and at first I wasn't sure how I was feeling about it. As I progressed through the story of Anna and Jensen, I found myself completely submerged in it. The way Lila writes makes you feel like you're right there with them, feeling everything they feel. I will definitely continue on with this series as she releases them.

Girls Night Out: Volume 2 (GNO) is the second anthology in the GNO series. This book contains work from two of my favorites, C. J. Ellisson and Calinda B. This review is a work in progress, I've read the first two novellas, and I'm about half way through with the third. I'll add information as I continue to read.

First up in this fiery little book is Kissed By A Vampire, by Patricia A. Wolf. A cute little fixer upper story. That doesn't mean it needs fixing up. The bride and groom in this story are fixing up their single friends. Each has their own special needs and they do seem like a perfect match. Sarah and Michael meet on their own, not realizing that they are the ones that are supposed to be set up. The situation works out well for them, until Sarah finds out Michael's big secret. This is a cute novella. Great for an afternoon of reading enjoyment.

Second up is the next in C. J. Ellisson's Wild Side Series. Loving Ms. Wrong. I don't know if I agree with the title, it seems like Katrina is pretty much Ms. Right for Marcus. Marcus and Katrina are both characters that have come into play in the other books of this series. Marcus was going to need someone to show him his weaknesses and Katrina, with her quirkiness seems to be the woman that has the skills to get under his skin. In the process, Katrina does a lot of introspection as well. Another fun afternoon read.

Third up is Calinda B's Beckoning of Beguiling Things I'm really enjoyed it and having read the other Beckoning books, it's gave me a new perspective in the series. What a trip around Vegas for the lead character Marissa. The seeds planted and we meet the other characters that will be a part of her future. It's a great place to start if you haven't read the Beckoning series, you'll definitely want to continue with the series after reading this appetiser.

I'll update this review, as I finish reading the books. Thumbs up so far

I just got a chance to pick this up so that I could read CJ Ellisson's next book in her series. The first one was Avoiding Mr. Right and this is the second one. I had originally thought that this story would continue the story of Carla and Andy featured in Avoiding Mr. Right but it's about Marcus and Katrina. Their story is steamy and interesting also. I hesitate to use the word 'fun' to describe the story because Katrina has quite a few issues to work through but she does it well with Marcus' help. As with all of CJ's books and stories, I have enjoyed this one also.

Kissed by a Vampire by Patricia A. Wolf. I have to say that vampires aren't usually something that I go out of my way to read about but I will certainly keep an eye out for anything in this series by this author.

The Beckoning of Beguiling Things by Calinda B. I am not one to search out paranormal stories. This story wasn't my thing personally. It was well written and steamy, but it was just a little too paranormal for me.

A is for... by Lisa Dubois
Wow this was steamy. As with the rest of the stories in this book, it was well written and super steamy. It's a little more extreme into the BDSM than I typically read but I will keep an eye out for the next book in the series.

The only thing that I would do differently is to put a clickable table of contents at the beginning of the book so the reader can flip directly to the story they want to read. That is, of course, only if they aren't going to read all of them in order. I was impatient for CJ's story so I skipped ahead.

As I have said, all of the stories are well written and while some might not have been 100% my style, they were all nice to read. I certainly will recommend this to others.

Marie's Tempting Reads Review:

I know this a Collection of Novellas by several authors but I read one so far and am doing a review for Patricia A Wolf with her incredible new novella, Kissed by A Vampire. I absolutely LOVE vampire books, be they novellas or full length novels, so it was no wonder that I was more then thrilled to do a review for Kissed by A Vampire in this lovely Multi-Genre Collection of Novellas.

I really enjoyed this novella. I liked Sarah and how she detests flying especially since I myself do as well. I believe our feet are meant to be firmly on the ground, not flying and risking our lives in a dangerous flying contraption. I also liked her determination and loyalty to her friend who was getting hitched. It was the only reason why she even got on a plane to begin with because she wasn't going to upset her friend.
Michael is such a sweetheart! He is the kind of the gentleman vampire I always expected to read about but most often in most novels, I find out how arrogant and self centered they are. So glad in this novella, the vampire was so totally worth reading about. He is sexy, smart, concerned and a VERY generous and kind person. I like how he didn't want to screw things up with Sarah and made sure she enjoyed herself when they were together.
The sex was sensual and thrilling and made me sigh and groan in several scenes. I give this a FOUR AND A HALF OUT OF FIVE STARS!! A worthy read for sure. I plan on reading the rest of the novellas and hopefully I can get a chance to review them as well.

As you may or may not know, I love anthologies. They give me a chance to meet authors I may have not chosen otherwise. I love them, but my wallet does not, because the one or two stories that really get to me, are book 1 of like 50 books. LOL But, to me they are worth it.

I really enjoyed all four stories in this book. Although they were all entertaining, one really caught my attention. Lila Dubois called to my inner sub with her novella A is for... Oh my did this story get my motor running!

The relationship between Anna and Master Jensen come off the pages. After a while, I was no longer reading the book, I was watching it! It played like a really hot movie in my mind. I love when a book can make me feel like I am one of the characters, or wish I was one of them.

Anna and Master Jensen know each other mind, body and soul. Although her master is pushing her limits, she shows him her love and trust by her submission. The love between the two shows throughout the story. We learn via flashbacks how they started their alternative relationship and come full circle to the present. I had a smile on my face the entire time I read this story.

If this is how Ms. Dubois makes me feel with just a novella, I can't wait to see how she can make me feel with a full novel. Loved this story and deserves all 5 Hearts I have to give.

Girls Night Out - Vol. 2 gives a glimpse of many different styles and genres of story. Which one will by your favorite? Read them and find out!

I was gifted with this book from one of the authors. I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Patricia gives the readers a paranormal experience that leaves you wanting more. I look forward to reading more of what she has to write. C.J. is a writer that I have read before and she never disappoints. Her story is a contemporary. This is a tale that may leave you wanting to take a trip to the adult bookstore or adult toy store. It's part of a series that I have read and look forward to more of. I have never read Calinda's work before but was happy that I had this chance. This is another story that gives you a paranormal experience that will have you wanting to go to Las Vegas. Our last author Lila will have you wanting to relearn your alphabet - but it's strictly for adults.

This anthology would be a great gift to give all of your girlfriends. It might even make a great group read. I have found three new authors to follow and one that I continue to love her work. It’s a set where the heat level builds with each story. By the end, you may need something to cool you down.

You will find that when you read each story that you will not want to put it down until you get to the end. Each one goes by too quickly but be careful of who’s looking over your shoulder. This is one to enjoy by yourself – lots of dream material available. I think that you can’t go wrong by adding this to your library.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT VOLUME TWO consists of four very different but equally enjoyable stories. The common elements were interesting women and sexy relationships. In KISSED BY A VAMPIRE it was fun to watch Sarah step outside her comfort zone and just go for it when she meets the exciting, hot Michael. When they don’t get a follow up date to their night of passion, I think I was as sad as Sarah. But like all good romance stories, Michael and Sarah get their happily ever after. THE BECKONING OF BEGUILING THINGS was my least favorite but still a good read. There was a lot of the story I didn’t think added to it and the reader is left with a huge cliff hanger. I wanted to know what comes of Marissa, Jason and Chris King but not enough to rush out and buy the next book. LOVING MS. WRONG was my favorite. I’ve enjoyed C.J. Ellisson’s books and was familiar with the series. I really enjoyed seeing this glimpse into Katrina and Marcus’ lives. It was great to watch the process of Marcus breaking down Katrina’s walls and teaching her to enjoy sex. A IS FOR.. was interesting and very sexy and if you’re into the BDSM stories, this was a good foray into the genre.

This book is being sold at a ridiculously low price and is a great bargain at four or five time the price. I definitely recommend it.

RATING: 4

Heat Rating: Steamy/Sizzling: Sensual, with more explicit love scenes and the language may be more graphic and direct.

Before starting my review I have to admit that the novella/short story is not my favourite literary form but occasionally (as is the case here) I read anthologies in order to find authors that are new to me. Of the four the only one I had previously read (and very much enjoyed) was C.J. Ellison.

I thoroughly enjoyed "Kissed by a Vampire". I found it to be a sweet and amusing story with a very satisfying HEA. I shall certainly be reading more of Patricia A. Wolf as I like her writing style...I loved her light touch and tongue in cheek humour.

Story two, "Loving Ms Wrong" featured an old friend as the hero - Marcus from the "Vanilla" series. A tale of "opposites attract" and finding love in unexpected places. I laughed (and occasionally sniffled) my way through this one...it was a joy to read!

And here we come to a stop....I'm finding story three "The Beckoning of Beguiling Things" by Calinda B. very difficult to get into....I'm up to Chapter 10 but still don't know where the story is going ...it jumps from character to character without us knowing who some of them are...sigh.
This could well be a failing on my part (and to do with my current frame of mind) and not the fault of the author...so...I shall take a break and come back to the story and will review it and story four in another post.

This anthology has four sexy stories by multi-authors in which I've only read and will be reviewing the one written by Lila Dubois. After reading this story, I'm pretty sure the others are just as good.

I enjoy reading BDSM stories and I sure learned a lot more about the BDSM lifestyle after reading A is for...by author Lila Dubois. This story was really intense with the kinky sex and the pain/pleasure dished out by Master Jensen to his sub, Anna. It also showed the level of trust that must be involved to enter into this kind of relationship. I liked that despite Anna's hesitancy and fear of the unknown at times, she always showed her trust in him and Master Jensen always looked to protect and reassure her. I really enjoyed the scorching hot sex throughout this story and the different ways they engaged in it, even those I've never knew or read about and a few I was not comfortable with. I also loved the closeness between them afterwards...the cuddling, talking and the twist that I never saw coming. This is a great story for readers who like their BDSM on the intense side and I'm looking forward to the next book, B is for...

This book is the second volume in the Girls Night Out series.

I have only been able to read LOVING MS. WRONG by C.J. Ellisson. I plan on reading the other stories when my schedule is not so crazy and update my review. With that being said here is my review on LOVING MS. WRONG.

C.J. has added another great book to her Wild Side Series. I REALLY REALLY did not want this book to end!! I LOVE IT!! The characters were very well written, had great chemistry, and flowed really well. I loved how C.J. wrote Marcus. She made him out to be a judgmental typical guy when he appeared in the other stories and at the beginnig of this book. Just when you think that you are not going to really love/like his character she shows you that he can be a gentle and caring guy.
Katrina is the shy and quiet character that opens up the more you get to know her. When a strom traps the two together sparks start to fly.

This was a very well written fun read that will have you begging for more. I can't wait to see what is next for this great series.

Lets start with the cover! Isn't is absolutely fabulous?! I am cover whore, so I just had to bring it up. It is sassy, fun, and sexy. I just love it! So, basically, this is 4 short and complete stories with Happily Ever Afters. All of these romantic stories start with a girls night out. Whether it be Vegas, a friends birthday, or just a girls gathering, all of these ladies start out having a fun night out with the girls and end up with a sexy man. Two of these stories are paranormal, while the other two were romance. While I very much enjoyed all of the novellas in this anthology my two favorite were Kissed by A Vampire by Patricia A. Wolfe and A is for... By Lila Dubois. I just really thought Kissed by A Vampire was very romantic and sweet! I also really like vamps in my book. ROAR! A is for... was super sexy and slammed full of hot BDSM. All of these short stories were really well written and very steamy. I love anthologies because I get to find new authors that I want to read. I would definitely read all of these authors again.

So we all know that I love C.J. Ellisson and her books. I was really excited to read about Marcus because he was so funny about Tony ending up with Heather. I really wish I could get more of him but I enjoyed getting to know him a little better. I was a little bit surprised at how sweet he ended up being. He starts out super judgmental and as he gets to know Katrina he realizes he is being a jerk and rethinks some things. I like Katrina because she is a little bit shy but also very aggressive about some things. You should really get this book.

I liked all 4 books and I wish I had more from them. I liked the characters and I want to see what happens with Marissa. That is the only story that really ended without me finding out what happened. I think that you will enjoy all the stories and seriously 4 awesome authors and stories in one book!!! So great.

I am giving this book 4.2 stars out of 5. I really can't to get more from all of these authors!!!

I'll admit this is my first anthology from different authors. Overall I enjoyed getting to sample each authors works without the commitment of a novel. Each story read rather quickly, and each was written fairly well. While each story centered around romance, some were fantasy/paranormal, and some were contemporary. Some were written in first person some weren't. You really get a great mix of writing style and voice too.

I'll read more from these authors combined and separate in the future and I never would have discovered them without the anthology which I wasn't certain I'd like. I'm more of a long haul reader, but found the stories perfect with my morning coffee and late night wine. I'll warn those who don't enjoy the steamier romance to shy away, but for those of us who don't mind the heat, read away.

So first off I read A is for by Lila Dubois which I loved. This was so hard core BDSM at least for me. But I loved the relationship between Anna and Jensen (great name BTW). It was a hot, sexy fun read and I look forward to more from this author. Next I read C.J. Ellisson's Loving Ms. Wrong which was my favorite story I read so far in the book. Katrina was a quirky fun girl who lived through a terrible tragedy and was trying to find her way in this world and find that special someone who could help her love again. Enter Marcus who I thought was a sweet hero although he tried to play it off by being some what of a jerk but in the end these 2 come together its amazing and sweet. As I finish the book I will update!

WOW!!!! I just finished reading a novella from C.J. Ellisson, an author I'm reading for the first time, and it was fantastic.
That is how a short story should be written. She was able to add humor, real life emotions, and a steady build up of sensual tension in a few chapters that leaves the reader screaming for more. "Loving ms Wrong" that was way to short for me, that can't be it!!!! I want/need more of Marcus and Katrina story, and their friends and families. This is part of a series C. J. Ellisson is writing.
Yah!!! I will definitely read more of her work :-)
This was also an ARC from the author, thank you It was a pleasure to read and review.

This is a bargain indeed!!! I would pay the price of admission for one of these and you get all four. I am a huge fan of CJ Ellison and had been wanting to read Calinda B for a while now, so this set was a no brainer for me. It was a super bonuse that I got to read two new to me authors as well. I love how the stories were all very different. It was like reading a box of chocolates. All were yummy goodness, but none quite the same. I really hope this group decides to do more collections like this. Until then I need to go find some more books from Patricia Wolf. How did I not read her before?

4 sexy stories in one book. Wasn't as familiar with the other stories but the Ms Wrong story is the continuation of the Wild Side series which includes New York Times best selling Vanilla on Top. In this novel the other side of Marcus is explored and his jerkiness from Vanilla on Top is put into perspective. CJ Ellisson did a great job creating a reason to like and care for Markus along with creating the perfect female match for him.

A is for ... by Lois Dubois
After reading a short excerpt I knew I HAD to have this book. From the first chapter the BDSM setting is strong with subs on their knees waiting and Doms surveying. The letter A is HOT and Lila creates the intense place where sexual fantasy is blended with the realism of playing safely. Master Jensen and Anna are amazing, I love their backstory. I can't wait for the rest of the alphabet.

I started reading this and couldn't put it down. All four Novellas kept my interest, and side some of the authors are new to me, I will be looking into more books by them! CJ Ellisson is the only author I have read in the past and it was GREAT to get to read about Marcus! I just wish it had been longer, I didn't want it to end. I definitely recommend checking this one out. I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

These 4 stories were very different from one another as they did not share a similar theme. The last story focused on a BDSM relationship which, while it was incredibly arousing to read, it was also difficult to get through as it put me out of my comfort zone and realm of experience. If you are looking for a steamy, erotic novel, then this one is for you.
