Truth be told, I do not have a strong background in economics. However, I feel as though I learned so much more about annuities in this book than anywhere else. More importantly, I was able to digest all of the information because the author effectively breaks down annuities. As a history buff, I appreciated that the beginning of the first chapter laid out the origins of annuities. The author also provides the pros, cons, and “Stanalysis” to every type of annuity.

In the book, there is a special emphasis to live in reality. In other words, not to be gullible enough to be swayed by over-blown sales pitches in the industry. Instead, it is best to purchase contractual guarantees and not hypothetical. I obtained a better understanding of annuities. This book keeps annuities simple because in reality, this is the way they were meant to be from its true origins.

The Annuity Stanifesto is a very informative and easy to understand look at annuities, written by Haithcock who has years of experience working in the financial industry. This book breaks down annuities, explaining various differences and what each means for the investor. The book is easy to read and follow, which I really appreciated. I think that the author does a great job of explaining what people should be looking for, and how to get an annuity that fits your situation. I think that this is a really helpful book for anyone looking into annuities, it has a great deal of information, but isn’t overwhelming. I think he also gives really good practical advice to buyers, which was really helpful.

Extremely quick read of this advertisement for his view. I dont know how he makes real money, except if you like his unvarnished style (i do), then he has you pretty far down the path of working with him (if an annuity is what you want).
