It’s been 18 months since the angels of the apocalypse ripped our world apart. Before, I was a burlesque dancer, decked in sequins and feathers at the hippest clubs. Now, I live in an abandoned hospital in East London, scavenging for scraps.
At least, until I get the chance to fight back against the disturbingly seductive angels. In fact, I’m going undercover as a spy in their castle. I have two learn their weaknesses, and find my missing sister.
Problem is, I have to pretend to be someone I’m an alluring succubus. If one of the angels discovers who I really am, the fate of the world could lie in ruins.
I can’t let that happen. The angels tried to destroy my world, and it’s my turn to ravage theirs.
This series takes place in a post-apocalyptic setting, with enemies-to-lovers plot.

Honestly this book took me a while to get into because of hitting a reading slump but Adonis and Rubys story was amazing. The reflection and growth she goes through along with him fighting together to save the world from extinction. Loved it.
A play on words or with words as a half Fae half human woman with the ways of the Old Gods eventually, meets Death with 3 other Angels, gods and well, they have horses. I cannot say more without giving away more. The crafty who read this review will grasp my word play. There are three full books in this set. That means there's a lot of story to garner and quite a lot to enjoy and understand. You will also meet a lot of new characters and some old friends too. I gave it 5 stars so take your time reading, enjoy the tale, indulge in some fantastical fiction where old meets new, older meets immortals and travel by dragon becomes as scary as it sounds.
From start to finish I totally enjoyed Ruby and Adonis’ story. This was quite a different take on the Horseman’s role on Earth and this is an entirely different dystopian version of the world. Hazel would have an interesting story too. I enjoyed seeing familiar characters from this version of the world also!
