I was looking for something to read with a strong male pov and hoped that this book satisfy, but it turned out that I couldn't connect with the MC or any other characters. They're just.. sort of okay, but nothing that makes me really care about them. I also don't like books that shows that the only weakness of the MC is that he failed his training. Moreover, I couldn't see the MC's transformation/transition from 'average guy' to 'brilliant mastermind' in this book. The other thing that kept bugging me as I read is that I can't get a grip of the characters' age through their voice. I kept forgetting whether the MC is a teenager, young adult, or adult.

On the good side, the book has a decent plot. I kept reading because I wanted to know who's the mole and what happens next.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.

Not my usual genre, so I was a little confused trying to keep all the spy characters who is who in my head. Nothing stands out on anyone person that makes you really connect with them except for the main one. That got easier as I read on, the main character Quarrel comes in to find the mole within the best spy organization. This is a book for people who like a lot of action and less connection to characters. Lots of action to keep your attention and the pages turning. It reads like an action film to me. I believe this is a stand alone book not a series.
I love the cover. I loved the title very colorful and fitting.

There's a fair amount of profanity, and some fairly gory scenes in this book. If you don't mind that, and are into spy stories, I think you'll like this one.
Full of action, as I mentioned in the title of this, the story also throws some surprises in here and there, which I found to be a lot of fun. The characters are developed well. I especially like the main character, Chris Quarrel. His character just improves as the story moves along, and I'll be up for a sequel to this if one gets written {if it hasen't been already!). Its exciting to the end. It really does remind me a bit of James Bond. I recieved a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

Good read, and suspenseful from the very beginning until the end. It keeps me in tenterhooks every flick of the pages. I'll say, this novel would be good in a movie. It is the first time I've read this author's novel, I get it free from Kindle, his plot moves quickly to a chilling determination of survival. Expect plenty of twist and surprises that it will keep you reading this book.

Spies Behaving Badly

Chris Quarrel is essentially a desk jockey with the CSIS-2, a secret branch of the CIA. But then, while he is out getting coffee, someone blows up the building where he works. Killing everyone. This story is full double agents and spies turned traitor. No one is to be trusted. A very interesting story with a lot of deception.
