Someone I've never met may actually be the love of my life.

Everyone knows me as Alana Graves, world-famous actress.
I live in the limelight and the glow of my parents' Hollywood legacy.

Wherever I go, people recognize me, scream my name, follow me relentlessly.
My collection of baseball caps and sunglasses rivals that of any major league player.

Everyone knows me, but him. Because he has no idea who I really am.
He and I play word games online. But we've never met in person. Ever.
I don't even know his name. And he doesn't know mine.
To him, I'm just SaturdayIslandGirl.

Yet, he's becoming the one I go to when I need to talk about my day, the one I think of when something funny happens, my unexpected safe place.

Do I want to meet him? Yes. ... No.

When our relationship goes public, I'll either have to drag him onto the red carpet with me, or walk away. Being Alana Graves means I can't have both love and fame. I'll have to choose. Our relationship has an end date., which is too bad because I think I might be falling for my mystery man.

Reel Love is a celebrity, hidden identity sweet romantic comedy with You've Got Mail vibes. This story has banter, tension and chemistry while keeping the romance closed door. This is the fifth book in the Love Trippin' Series, but can be read as a stand-alone story.

A STRONG 4.5 ⭐️

I LOVED Stevens and Alana together! They were deep, complex, flawed people who clicked together perfectly.

There’s so much to talk about here! We start with knowing that Alana and Stevens are chatting back and forth online through a scrabble game. The conversations were funny and interesting. Meanwhile, they are living their separate lives and happen to cross paths when Alana needs a boat driver to ferry her from an island to the mainland as she plans her next movie. Boat driver is Stevens. He’s a super fan of Alana, but he chills out after a day. They get to know each other and become friends while they are also flirting with each other online during scrabble 🤭😍

Their first date was probably the cutest date I’ve read in a LONG time. It was written perfectly. The longing, the desire, the attraction - all perfectly written from both their perspectives.

The dialogue and banter and flirting were top tier. The best part of the book by far. It was quick, entertaining and swoony. Very well done.

The side characters were great! Brigitte was a fave for sure. I liked Joel and Kai as well. They allowed me to see more sides of Alana and Stevens that got me more invested.

It’s only not a full 5 star because the beginning dragged just a little. Like some time was spent on describing their jobs that I felt could have been condensed. But otherwise, for a rom-com romance this is a slam dunk and a lovely start to this author’s books for me.

Highly recommend!

Tropes and triggers: dual POV, you’ve got mail, childhood friends to lovers, celebrity romance, nerdy guy, toxic parent, some mention of dieting and eating less, no language, only kissing

I received a free e-book copy from Net Galley.

Guys. I think I have a new favorite Savannah Scott book. Like I am obsessed…
My kindle is FULL of highlights! It actually took me longer to read because I kept stopping to highlight.

The hidden identity/celebrity romance was soo much fun! AND HE’S A HOT MARINE BIOLOGIST! Yep…gooonnneeerrrr!!!!

Alana & Stevens had some of the BEST banter EVER! Their flirting and their “getting to know each other” phases were so fun. THEY FELT LIKE HOME! Their lives/history just kept intertwining and every new development made me sigh a little bit more. I LOVE LOVE PEOPLE!

Stevens’ conversations with the guys had me HOLLERING! They were so good and so…them.

There were so many wonderful nuggets of wisdom in this story! And I loved finding, and highlighting them all. (And the cute, swoony moments too of course!)

I love this island. I love these people. I love this book.
I really don’t know what else I can say…this book made me feel all the feels and laugh SO HARD. I can’t wait to go back to this story when I need a pick me up.

I only wish I had read it sooner. But you know what — it was just what I needed right when I needed it!

INFINITE STARS!

Reel Love by Savannah Scott
5 Stars
(Book 5 in the Love Trippin' Series but can be read as a standalone)

Blog Post: https://bookloveramanda.blogspot.com/...

WOW, what a fabulous ending to the Love Trippin' Series! I absolutely have loved reading through this series this year. Filled with banter, great friendships, sweet romance and a great island setting, this series is everything I needed this Summer!

Reel Love follows Stevens and Alana -- one of my favorite couples now in the series! We see Stevens, a Marine Biologist and Alana, an Actress in Hollywood who play a word game online together without knowing they're chatting with one another. To him, she is SaturdayIslandGirl and to her he is Wordivore. They get to know one another through the app chatting back and forth with great banter! It's only a matter of time before their identities are revealed....

We see them meeting each other in situations in the book without knowing who each other is from the app - loved those interactions leading up to the big reveal!

If you love You've Got Mail like I do, pick this up. Their chatting back and forth was chef's kiss* and I loved their interactions, chemistry and banter! I loved the words they would put down too in their game, I laughed several times!

As always, being back on Marbella Island was a delight - seeing characters from the other books in the series was wonderful.

Alana's personal assistant, Brigette was HILARIOUS and Ben and all the other guys were cracking me up AS USUAL! I also loved that we got to see a glimpse into Savannah's future Tennessee Fireman Series to come in 2025!

Seeing Alana struggle to navigate through Hollywood life and truly realize what mattered most to her and trying to make decisions the best she could was good to see too.

Overall, HIGHLY recommend this series. It's been so great! Thank you to the author for a copy of the book to honestly read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

'If I'm ever going to invest in something committed and romantic, I want the woman to be someone I can't live without.'

Friends, this right here, is the best part of romance. How can you not swoon over that??

If you've been following this "Love Trippin'" series you've been getting sneak peeks at Stevens and you've been dying for his story.

THIS BOOK WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN!

I kept falling more and more in love with this couple as the story went on. This is Savannah's writing at its ultimate best and I will never not read one of her books. That's right, reader fan for life!!

If you like You've Got Mail this has similar vibes mixed with some Notting Hill with the celebrity aspect. This book is heartfelt and beautiful. I don't think anyone could read this book and not happy sigh after reading any portion of it. It's all a masterpiece and is going on the favorite's shelf!!!

If you like contemporary romance, celebrity romance, unknown identity, a MMC worthy of a man crush Monday and a FMC perfectly suited for him-this should be your next read. It should be your next read because it's available NOW!!!

You'll also find some amazing side characters...Stevens mom and her slang...HILARIOUS!!! She is #momgoals. Alana's PA? Adorable. Please bless she gets a story of her own!!! Cameos from all of our favorites on Marbella Island? SO MUCH FUN!!!

Get it.
Read it.
Love it.
Repeat.

This book is a recipe for happiness!!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is the very best mash up of a celebrity romance, You’ve Got Mail vibes, and small island goodness! Stevens and Alana stole my heart—they are just the sweetest, and the way they help each other grow, all the layers of hidden identity, and a thread that connects them in the sweetest ways—it is just an entirely sweet, funny, swoon-worthy read!

Stevens + Alana = Perfection!!!

Y'all, I just can't even tell you how much I adored this book!!! It is another one of those that became an instant favorite book to be on my forever favorites shelf!!! I did not want it to end at all!!! I wanted more and more about these two. All of the You've Got Mail vibes were utterly charming and adorable! And talk about the swoon factor being super high on this one!!! Friends to more is the best ever!!!

I'm so sad that this series is over! This is book #5 in the Love Trippin' series and is one I highly recommend you not miss reading! You can read it as a standalone. But it is fun having read all of the previous books, except the first one (which I want to read soon), and being able to see all of those characters together throughout the books of this series and get to know them better and to see them after their book ends. I just love that aspect about series so much!

Another fun thing, this author has another book that I absolutely love and is on my forever favorites shelf and there are a couple of scenes where those characters are on Marbella Island and see a couple of characters from this series. So fun!!!

This book has so much heart to it that it's hard not to be fully pulled in and immersed and invested in these characters' happiness. All of the family and friend vibes just made my heart so happy. And really had me laughing over some of the antics of the characters, main and secondary ones! I just adore Savannah Scott's writing! She makes me so happy! I love that I know the books will always be clean and wholesome but move me emotionally and have me cheering for these characters to find joy and healing and love! I can't recommend reading this one enough!!!

Farewell Marbella Island, until I visit again in rereading these books!!!

Content: Clean. Some kisses but nothing further.

I received a copy from Victory Editing NetGalley Co-Op, via NetGalley. I have also purchased my own copy. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

Once more, Savannah Scott does not disappoint! This was the sweetest, most heartwarming, feel-good book! It’s a perfect ending to this fabulous series.

Alana Graves is a famous actress who likes to keep a low profile on Marbella Island where she has a home. She’s not dating anyone, but she has a growing interest in the stranger she plays word games online with.

Stevens is a marine biologist and also lives on the Island. He loves his job, has a great group of friends, and finds a great deal of fun and satisfaction in playing online word games with a woman he’s never met before.

As their teasing and banter starts to grow into something more personal and flirtatious, he decides to take a risk and asks to meet her. When they do meet, they’re in for some delightful surprises!

What I loved:
Celebrity romance
Hidden identity
You’ve Got Mail vibes
Dual POV
Nerdy/sexy protective hero
Science jokes
The costume ball
Grand gestures
Stevens in glasses
Mom/Son relationship
Books he reads
“Pursuit”
Tangled references
Flirty banter
The epilogue

It’s hard to think of a cuter couple than Alana and Stevens! I loved how intelligent they both were, and how supportive they were of each other. They’re a perfect match!

I also loved how, after some initial doubts, Stevens was confident to be with a woman who was so famous, and that his priority was to support and protect her when she needed it.

Adding to the fun were some of the side characters. I can never get enough of Ben! Alana’s assistant Brigette was a hoot. And I absolutely loved Stevens’ mom and her use of slang.

Reel Love is a sweet, funny, ultra swoony read, with some tender moments that Savannah always does so beautifully. Every character’s voice felt unique and authentic. I couldn’t love it more!

The Love Trippin’ series has been one of my favorites, and I hate to see it come to an end, but I have my fingers crossed that there’s a spin off series coming.

Many thanks to the author for a gifted copy!

Reel Love is the fifth book in the Love Trippin' series. While we see some familiar characters make appearances throughout this book, this could certainly be enjoyed as a standalone without any issues as well. The rest of the series is great though, and I highly recommend reading them all.

Oh my goodness... Alana and Stevens! These two were just the absolute sweetest together. From their hilariously awkward meet cute to their online banter to the charity event... I truly just could not get enough of these two and their fantastic chemistry. While he was definitely a little starstruck at first, he fell for who she was as a person and not just the fame. I though the secret identity aspects of this story were absolutely pulled off perfectly too and added such a great element to their story and helped build that trust between them. I loved how this was just one of the MANY ways throughout the story that fate seemed to be drawing them to one another... and how their connection was really genuine beyond name or looks, which is something that they both seemed to struggle to find... especially Alana in her career as an actress. And tacos as a love language!? Yes, please!! Their story had the perfect blend of moments that were tender and swoonworthy and moments that had me laughing out loud. Of course, I loved seeing some familiar side characters, but there were some really great side characters new to this one too. Stevens' mom might just be my favorite ever... I absolutely adored her and the humor she added to the story! I definitely need more of her! If you love celebrity romance, this is one you won't want to miss.

Reel Love is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.

I loved Stevens and Alana though. I hope to get back to expand my review, but just in case it takes me awhile to do that... I want to say that they are my favorite Marbella Island couple.

I've returned to expand my review.

This is the final book in the Love Trippin series that mostly takes place on Marbella Island. It contains a standalone story, but it does include appearances by characters from previous books. The main characters in this book are introduced in some of those others as well.

Thai was my favorite book set on the island. I loved these characters, especially Stevens! I've been waiting a long time for Savannah Scott to write another brainy male lead.

The online/hidden identity aspect of the plot was fun. The humor was top notch. I found myself laughing often, and I don't do that in all romcoms. The intellectual aspect of this story drew me in.

I was gifted an advanced copy of this book by the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Savannah Scott’s books always make you feel something and this one warmed my heart! It felt like love and friendship. This book had me smiling so much!

Marbella Island is a special place and I was so excited to head back there with this group of friends that I've come to love, for Stevens and Alana's story. I'm a sucker for celebrity romances and this one was different then any I have read before. It was beautiful and such a sweet, tender romance. I thought it focused more on the human side of being a celebrity and I enjoyed that. Alana is a big movie star on the outside but on the inside she is such a genuine real person with a demanding job and mother. She loves her job but also has many sacrifices she has had to make to do what she loves including having somewhat of a normal romantic relationship. Stevens was the perfect guy for her. He may have been a little starstruck at first, but he sees her realness and to him she is just his Alana. He was there to encourage her and be her safe place. He never put any additional pressure on her and was willing to do whatever she needed. I really enjoyed that this book was low on angst and drama. It showed a very mature and healthy relationship where the couple communicated and were there for each other through their challenges. I adored their sweet flirting and ch. 20 was just the cutest!

Along with the sweetness there was a great dose of humor. Ben had me laughing out loud from the start, especially him with that zipper motion again! (if you read the last book you know what I am talking about). There was Stevens revelation on Axe body spray, lots of great Tangled references; and I can’t forget the mustache or Stevens and his yoga pose!

This one was everything I hoped for and more! Such a beautiful ending to one of my favorite series. The book can be read as a standalone, but trust me you will want to read them all! I am so sad to see my time in Marbella end but I'm glad I have all the books on my shelf so I can revisit anytime I want.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

OVERALL STAR RATING: 5/5
CLEAN RATING: 5/5

So bittersweet! The fifth and final book in Savannah Scott’s Love Trippin’ series and it did not disappoint. Such a fun and unique plot and I just want to say, Savannah always nails her main characters, but man oh man is she the queen of side character development as well. I just adore Marbella Island so much.

This book is described as a celebrity, hidden identity RomCom with You’ve Got Mail vibes and it is EVERYTHING you’d expect from a description like that…and oh so much more. Savannah always brings giggles and there’s a certain convo about mustaches that will just have you cracking up right from the start. But let’s get to the real heart and soul of this book, Stevens and Alana, better known to each other as SaturdayIslandGirl and Wordivore on their Play on Words game app. For months Stevens and Alana have been exchanging the sweetest banter during their online gameplay, completely unaware of each other’s real names or anything about their personal lives. They have such a unique chemistry through their gameplay and begin wondering more about each other. Problem being, Alana is THE famous Alana Graves, one of Hollywood’s elites and she can’t freely give up her identity to some stranger online. Or can she? She feels so oddly drawn to him.

Watching this relationship unfold is SO MUCH FUN and full of some great surprises.

If you’ve read any of this series, you’re familiar with Ben, and oh how I loved the healthy dose of Ben that was in this one. Then there’s Stevens’ mom, who kind of stole my heart. Oh my gosh…she “cray cray”! ;) HAHAHA “Trust”.

If you haven’t picked up this series, I truly cannot recommend it enough.

“We’re old friends who never met. It’s the oddest sensation, melding the layers together into one cohesive reality.”

This has got to be my new favorite Savannah Scott book. The multiple facets connecting the characters together is breathtaking and beautiful, not to mention one of my favorite tropes–a celebrity and a “normal person” romance.

Alana has been in the spotlight for most of her life but finds comfort and the ability to be herself on Marbella Island. Not only is she a very sought-after actress, but she’s very smart with a winsome personality. Stevens is marine and ocean obsessed, and his knowledge of random words and passion for the deepest of sea creatures can’t be rivaled.

This journey played out like a movie in my mind and I found myself possessed by every little word and minuscule interaction. I loved the chapter headings and the cameos of series characters. My emotions were held hostage and I felt the range of them brilliantly. I gluttonously devoured every exchange (especially the romance) and feasted on each moment with this wonderful group of friends.

I can’t give this book enough love!

Content: kisses

We saved the best for last!! This book… THIS BOOK!! I couldn’t put it down. So many times I found myself smiling or laughing out loud. It was so cute and I loved every minute of it. The You’ve Got Mail vibes, the banter🫰🏻, and I even got my Kdrama moment when we find out they’ve known each other much longer than we think☺️.

Stevens and Alana were absolutely adorable and the way their lives kept intertwining, it was destiny😍. And Stevens going to be there for her through the craziness that is her stardom life. Hot Marine Biologists for the win!!

I just loved this series and how we got to continue each characters stories throughout. Now I’m ready to read Fire and Icing to see what happens with Dustin!!

Another swoon-worthy romance by @savannahscott_author!!! Reel Love is the fifth and final book in the Love Trippin series that I devoured this summer, and I could not have had a more perfect ending than with Alana and Stevens’ love story!🤍

These two are the absolute sweetest characters! Their chemistry and banter is off the charts, and their online meet cute gave me all the You’ve Got Mail vibes! Alana and Stevens meet anonymously through an online Scrabble game app, and amidst the competitive trash talk, Stevens becomes the one person with whom Alana feels she just can be Alana, not Alana Graves - movie star. Their friendship turned romance is so tender and sweet giving me all the mushy feelings!

This is such a wonderfully done celebrity romance that showcases some of the hardships that Alana faces being in the public eye without being cliche. Alana loves her job, but like all jobs, there are some negative parts. Stevens is absolutely perfect for Alana!!! He is so wonderful and supportive without ever making Alana feel bad for some of the setbacks that took place. He loves Alana for Alana, fame and all. He is willing to stand by her side and let her shine while providing her a place to call home. Overall, I loved how sweet and tender this book was, but it’s the banter that made it 🤌🏻

Very well done take on You’ve Got Mail, but for nerds like me who play online Scrabble 😂

Stevens and Alana are super cute and, even though they come from way different backgrounds and Alana is a mega movie star, they seem to have so much in common and have great chemistry together.

This is the fifth book in the Love Trippin’ series (all closed door romcoms). I think I saw it’s the last one, but I’m hoping for a spinoff for Steven’s’ siblings and maybe even Brigitte/Tank. 🤞🏼

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Reel Love to come out September 16, 2024.

"I brought you a breakfast burrito."
"I think that might be the hottest thing a man has ever said to me."
He chuckles. "You need to get out more."

"I chose this life. You didn't even have the luxury of choosing it because you were raised to walk right into your role. But I am choosing it-choosing you."

I have loved this series and loved the final instalment! There has been a real maturity to the stories and characters as they've progressed, especially the final two. I loved the characters of Alana and Stevens, their sweet and funny meet-cutes, their anonymous online connection and banter, their growing rapport and friendship and their tender and swoony romance. And of course the AMAZING side characters - old and new with the addition of Alana's assistant and Stevens' mom - had me constantly busting a gut!

This felt like a really honest-though-wholesome celebrity romance. So much of Alana's life and relationships - especially with her parents - were toxic, and she experienced a lot of gaslighting and manipulation that seemed par for the course. I really appreciated her growth in setting realistic boundaries while still commiting to a career she loved. And Stevens was WONDERFUL - what a hero! I love how he didn't try to change Alana and fought for her despite the setbacks that came with her fame, how comfortable he was with himself and how determined he was to give her the moments of home, normalcy and family she craved.

Tender and hilarious with chemistry to die for, this was the perfect conclusion to a favorite series!

Thank you, Savannah Scott for sending me an ARC of this adorable, inspiring book!

It did remind me of a 2024 you’ve got mail movie; but more rich in complex plot lines!

Also; it was so funny!
The costume balls!
The cute kids 👧🏻

😂 the word-ivore game! 😂

Best quote ; “Alana, I’ve known you for most of our lives, and I found you in the most unconventional way. We’ve talked about this before—how serendipitous our repeated connections were. And, at every turn, it’s been you. You’re my best friend, the one I wake thinking of and the one I dream about. You’ve shown me sides of myself I didn’t know existed”

Alana Graves is an A-list celebrity. When she’s not filming blockbuster movies and performing her own stunts, Alana lives on Marbella Island, far from the spotlight. On the small island, surrounded by swaying palm trees, Alana can be herself and do what she wants, like playing internet word games. No one knows her identity there either. To them, she’s just SaturdayIslandGirl.

When Alana strikes up a friendship with her online competitor, Wordivore, they fall into easy banter and eventually start to open up to each other, all under the cover of anonymity. Of course, neither knows the other’s identity, but when it’s accidentally revealed that they both live on the same island… well, you’ll have to read the book to find out what happens next! 😏

💭 My thoughts:

If you love the movie You’ve Got Mail like I do, you’ll love Reel Love. Savannah Scott captures all the best and warmest feelings from the movie and brings them into this story. Two people connecting anonymously and then realizing they’re way closer than they thought? It’s classic, heartwarming, and full of sweet, swoon-worthy moments.

Things I loved:

• Steven & Alana’s word competition (as a Scrabble lover, it sounded so fun!)
• Stevens’ marine life & biology facts and trivia throughout the book 🐙
• Stevens’ mom and siblings
• Alana’s personal assistant, Brigette
• Tank
• The laid-back, breezy atmosphere of Marbella, the character cameos, a peek into where they are now, & the charm of small island living
• Their awkward meet-cute 😂
• The first kiss
• The boat lesson
• Alana finding her voice
• The grand gesture, fighting for love

All in all, Savannah’s books are just delightful. I know when I pick one up, I can expect a mini vacation from life, laughs, and a deep love connection between the characters.

This is part of The Love Trippin’ series, and while I recommend reading them from the start, you don’t have to. It works perfectly as a standalone.

Thank you @savannahscott_author for having me on your launch team and an ARC of the book! 😘

this book = all the heart eyes forever

Am I a puddle of happiness after reading Reel Love? YES I AM! Do I want you to also be a puddle of happiness?? ONE HUNDRED PERCENT YES!!
Stop whatever you are doing and move this book to the top of your TBR!! Alana and Stevens love story feels like the sweetest hug. From beginning to end you are going to be rooting for them. Their story is full of hidden identities, island living, Hollywood, word games, tacos, sexy reading glasses, sea cucumbers, and mermen. (IYKYK) I was reeled in so fast by the fun premise of this book. PUN INTENDED. Savannah Scott has such a way of writing the best leading men. Stevens is a marine biologist who is the biggest green flag! Like a whole kelp forest of green flags. Are kelp forests a thing? Haha idk but that man is setting the bar for every book boyfriend. The way he shows up for Alana in all of the places their lives come together is SWOOOONY. And Alana! I love her!! My heart was definitely exploding over her getting the happy ending she didn’t think was possible for a star like her. This whole book had me kicking my feet in delight over the humor, tenderness, and romance! It was the perfect end to a fantastic series. But can be read as a standalone without spoiling any of the previous books. Just know you’ll want to go read the rest after meeting the various couples throughout this book. Anyway… read this amazing book and thank me later!!

Stevens has no clue that the girl he’s grown close to through a word game app is world famous actress Alana Graves.

Reel Love is the fifth book in the Love Trippin’ romcom series. While it could be read as a stand-alone, I would highly suggest reading the rest of the series first. The MCs from the previous books do appear throughout this book. This is a closed-door romance.

The chemistry between Alana and Stevens is there from the very beginning. Even when they don’t know each other’s real names, they grow from a sweet friendship to a spark of love. This author always has some of the best banter for her characters. It’s the perfect mix of flirty and snarky that makes the characters all the more realistic. Savannah also writes a great villain - Alana’s mother.

Overall, Reel Love is a fantastic addition to the series and probably my favorite. I’m not sure if this is the final book of this series or not but I look forward to reading whatever Savannah Scott has next for her readers.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Reel Love is book five in the Love Trippin’ series, however, the author has done a great job of making these books easily readable as stand alone novels, too.

This story is an absolutely beautiful, sweet, and witty celebrity romance. It is one of those books that even as I turned the final page, I wanted to start right back at the beginning and devour it again!

Alana and Stevens have spent the past six months growing close and bantering while interacting anonymously through an online word game. We, the readers, know that these two are “Wordivore” and “Saturday Island Girl” in their game and that they have also recently met in real life when Stevens was hired to fill in shuttling Alana back and forth between the island and mainland California in a water taxi.

I love the way these two cross paths a few times before the big reveal. And I love that there is truly so much story left to read once that big reveal occurs! I could feel the happiness emanating from both Alana and Stevens when they realized who each other were. And their relationship grew so beautifully as they explored the connections between them. These two had such sweet hearts toward each other, both of them genuinely wanting the best for each other.

The author did an amazing job of creating a beautiful chemistry between Alana and Stevens that was deep. And in the surface level Hollywood lifestyle that Alana had to circulate in, their relationship became something that she desperately wanted to protect. And speaking of protect…well Stevens was exactly the man that Alana needed to provide her with emotional support and protection.

I loved this book from start to finish! This love story is one of my favorites of all time and I highly recommend it. Whether you read all of the previous Love Trippin’ stories or jump right into this one, Reel Love is a novel you don’t want to miss!

I received a complimentary copy of this book, however, I also purchased my own print copy.

“I chose this life. You didn’t even have the luxury of choosing it because you were raised to walk right into your role. But I am choosing it-choosing you.”

~Someone l’ve never met may actually be the love of my life. He has no idea who I really am. He and I play word games online. But we’ve never met in person. Ever. I don’t even know his name. And he doesn’t know mine…

“You’re mine now, and we’re not practicing catch and release. Remember?” “I do remember. I’m yours.”

Reel Love is a celebrity, hidden identity sweet romantic comedy with You’ve Got Mail vibes. It is delightfully and precisely filled with such wonderful humor and banter, the perfect amount of tension, delightful chemistry, many tender moments, genuine connection, deep friendship, and of course, some swoony closed-door romance! While this may be the fifth book in the Love Trippin’ Series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone story but, I will say though, the rest of the series is just as great with dear familiar faces and friendships! All worth the read, any day!

In this story, Alana and Steven are so sweet together! Their dear story has a wonderful blend of moments along the way, that are endearing, swoon-worthy, and delightfully funny! I enjoyed that this story focuses not only on the importance of humor, friends, family, and love- but, I also love that it focuses on many real-life dilemmas and real-life relationships! The journey to a happily-there-after doesn’t happen right away. It will take effort, in facing oppositions but, seeing how Alana and Steven truly fight for love had my full attention and heart. This is a dear story, worth the read and will also have you craving yummy tacos as well! 💯📚

“I want this life or any life with you. And I don’t want a future without you, so I’m here to step into the whirlwind. We’ll face the public criticism, the paparazzi, and your parents, together from now on.”

“The one who found his way back to me through an online game, who ferried me across the ocean, tried to teach me to drive a boat, always believed in me and never saw me just as a movie star.”

If you're asking yourself, "should I read this book?" The answer is, " yes! A thousand times yes!" It's so sweet and swoony, it gives you all the romantic butterflies of soul mates that were always meant to be together coming into a relationship. This book was also my favorite trope, which is the "it was always you" You've Got Mail trope. I loved how connected the main characters were, and how little drama was in the story. I found myself laughing in spots and smiling throughout much of the story. The quotes at the beginnings of chapters were perfect and added much to the story. There were so many good lines, and I think I'm going to be on a book high after reading this one. It's going on my favorite books of 2024 list!

{Serendipity~the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for}

I don't know how she does it, but I think Savannah Scott's books get better with each one. And that's quite a feat! This is yet another book of hers that I kept reading slower and slower because I didn't want it to end. I kept taking a break after each chapter. UNTIL chapter 37. I needed to know!!

And I was sitting there at soccer practice with a big ol' goofy grin on my face. You'll know why after you finish chapter 20.

Ok. OK! I'll quit with the teasers. But seriously. This book is SO GOOD. From their banter on Play on Words, to Stevens' awkwardness, to Brigitte, Tank, and all the characters we've come to love. This book is quite possibly Savannah Scott's best one yet.

A great story , about two people who were meant to be together . Alana is a talented and famous actress but when she is not working she is living alone on Marbella Island and plays on her app scrabble and has a competitor Wordivore who happens to start to open up to him and they share few thinks about themselves but not their real names and job . Stevens is marine biologist , very handsome and introvert . When he gets a gig to taxi with his boat some celebrity he never imagined that it would be Alana Graves . While spenting two hours traveling back and forth to LA they become friends . When Alana and Wordivore set a day to meet in person then they see each other they can't believe that they alredy know each other . When Alana and Stevens start to date she has to keep it secret because for her new movie her mother and her publicist have made it look like she is dating her co star Rex . At the end what Alana will choose her love or her career ?
I received this book from netgalley , the author and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

Alana and Stevens unknowingly connect while playing an anonymous online word game and while they don’t realize it at first, both live on the same small island off the coast of California. It was fun seeing all the ways their lives were interconnected before they realized who they were to one another. It was like an inside joke between the reader and the author, Savannah.

I loved how down to earth Alana was even though she was a movie star that grew up in the industry. And Stevens?! I don’t think you can get much better than a nerdy conservationist marine biologist that looks like a Hemsworth brother and sends a girl tacos instead of flowers. He is a millennial girl’s dream! There were so many times I laughed out loud at this book and it made the perfect end of summer read.

This is the last book in the Road Trippin’ series but can be read by itself as a stand alone.

Genre: RomCom
Amount of Spice: Steamy Kisses and Makeouts

Thanks so much @savannahscott_author for the digital ARC of this book. It was a pleasure to be included on this launch team!

This book was a perfect end to a fabulous series!! I loved it so much! It gave me all the feels! I adored and loved the You’ve Got Mail vibes! Some other things I loved (in no particular order):
🐠 Play on Words (think Words with Friends) and Scrabble
🐠 The mustache!
🐠 The hike to find a “merman”
🐠 Ren
🐠 The first date
🌮 Tacos! And taco deliveries!
And so much more!

I’m pretty much convinced that Savannah Scott can do no wrong as I’ve loved every single book I’ve read of hers (only missing like 2) and this was no different!
