Death Rises is a brutal novel and definitely not one for the ladies. Brutalized himself from an early age, Jim Morrison is a rare kind of psychopath that plays by the rules of society. Content to rest between battles and wait for the next opportunity to wage his own particular brand of warfare.

What will happen when society is suddenly ripped away and this particular foul flower slowly begins to bloom? Death Rises is an alien invasion, Sci-fi novel the likes of which you have never read before, nor even dared contemplate. How will mankind survive when all the women drop dead. Follow this unlikely hero as he and his friends fight the final battles that will ever be waged by man against man. As the death toll mounts watch as his star rises, but to what, with the alien invasion not expected for at least a hundred years

Review of Death Rises

I really enjoyed this story being an Scot and ex military it hit a lot of targets . I am a veteran submariner with family in the RN and the Gordon's the only thing would make it better would be if my brother in law was still alive so I could wind him up for being a Gay Gordon ... Keep writing as I have read and appreciated a lot of your work ... Thanks Sandy

Finished in one sitting.

I first came across Mr. Murison with Teardrops In The Night Sky and have enjoyed all of his books. I don't know how I missed out on this until now but I think this is one of his best.

Jim Morrison is not a nice man but he is the right man in the right place and time to do what needed to be done and saving Planet Earth from her enemies both outer and inner. .......On duty at a military base in Scotland, Morrison and his unit are drilling when a female soldier collapses. Thinking it was due to the heat soldiers go to check her and realize she is dead. Then another female collapses, dead also. Next the soldiers hear a crash and discover a car driven by a woman crashed at the gate of the base. Before too long every female on the planet is dead. Scientists discover that every female of any species capable of self-defense has been exterminated. After eliminating the possibility that this was done by humans, it is determined that Earth is under attack by aliens. What happens? I'm not telling but you will spellbound by this story. .....I disagree with the synopsis of this book. I am a woman and I found it fascinating and read it straight through to the end and am ready for more!

That was one crazy story!

One of the best "rising from the ashes" story I've read. No holds bared writing! J W Murison has got to be living large with this type of writing skill!
