Rate this book
Sadie looks forward to spending Christmas wrapped in romance and holiday magic in a cozy Alaska cabin. Instead, her world flips upside down when she discovers her fiancé has been gift-wrapping his heart for someone else. With her broken heart in tow, Sadie's journey takes an unforgettable turn when she’s trapped in the quirky town of Polar Creek during a fierce Alaskan blizzard.

Kreston, the man about town who wears more hats than a snowman, takes a liking to Sadie. Not only is he the town’s handsome mayor, charming hotel manager, and postal carrier, he’s also a bush pilot, with enough holiday spirit to melt Sadie’s permafrost heart—if she’ll let him.

As sparks fly and the Northern Lights dance, Polar Creek’s eccentric residents root for love and Kreston’s irresistible charm. Will Sadie find her happily-ever-after under the Alaskan stars, or will she catch the next flight back to the lower forty-eight? Buckle in for a festive flight under the mistletoe, where love finds its way, no matter how frosty the path.

Whether it's secret Christmas kisses in a snowed-in castle, strangers meeting during harried holiday travel, or a white Christmas romance under the Northern Lights, this Christmas Kisses and Calamities series delivers rom coms for silly-season swoon worthy smiles all year round.

Lights.

When you're fiance send you a text, but it's really meant for someone else. Not exactly the way you wanted to start life. This book was simply very interesting.

Things are off to a bumpy start for sadie, landing in polar creek.Turns out to be something she wasn't expecting. In more ways than one.

So many nice people. In alaska.
I must say, this was just simply a wonderful story I enjoyed every minute of it.

Meeting strangers during the holidays. Well, sometimes it plays out being in the right place at the right time. 🎄🎄❄️

I really enjoyed this story. The characters are quirky and lovable.
Sadie gets an unintentional text from her fiancé that has him being a ex very quickly. Trying to get back home, she is stranded in Polar Creek, Alaska.
Kreston wears many hats in the small village. He is known for taking in strays, which makes for some wonderfully quirky characters. As Sadie starts to get to know everyone and enjoy the Christmas events, she starts to think about her life. Maybe everything she worked for in Seattle isn’t what she truly wants or needs from life.
Sadie makes Kreston think about his life too. Could he want more?
Their journey is wonderful to watch unfold.
This is a perfect Christmas read.

I was given a eARC copy and this is my honest review

Fun, light, quirky Christmas rom-com comfort read. This somehow managed to be both completely predictable comfort read and and off the wall surprisingly funny story. It has all the elements you are looking for in a story like this - the set up, the trope characters, the festivals, an outhouse race. OK, maybe that last one is not standard, but it fits the theme.

The imagery was great and it was fun getting to know the town's residents and reading the beautiful descriptions of Alaska. I liked watching Sadie come into her own and her change over the book. I did feel there was a little something missing with her interaction with Kreston. They got to know each other through the townspeople, but when they got together it was kinda instant connection and I wanted more relationship development. Well, I guess they did spend time together they just went from first kiss to home run very abruptly. There are a few spicy scenes, FYI.

Sadie is a PR consultant who has a romantic trip planned with her fiancé. She receives a text meant for someone else, only to discover her ex is cheating on her.
She gets stranded in Polar Creek Alaska. This town is full of quirky chat and one charismatic Mayor.
Kerston is everything to everyone in the small town. He takes care of the residents and ignores his owns needs until Sadie shows up.
This is a sweet mostly clean romance. Sadie falls in love with the town and Kerston but is she willing to give it all up for the swanky life she currently leads. I enjoyed all the love the town folks have for each other and how they make the most of they have. Enjoyable read just in time for the holidays.

Sadie wasn't supposed to recieve the text she just opened, but as she read it realising her fiancée had sent it to the wrong woman. Yes that's right he was cheating on her. Now trying to get home she ends up in a remote town called Polar Creek in Alaska. All she wanted was to get home and sort her life out now. Kreston is a man with many hats, he carries responsibility for numerous jobs around town. The people that live here are all unique quirky characters who have been rescued at some point. The problem is the town has a way of getting into your heart and make you ask if you really know what you want. The trouble is though that now even Kreston is questioning his choices. This is a love sweet funny christmas read which you won't regret reading

A wonderful and enchanting Christmas holiday read.
Sadie is looking forward to a romantic getaway with her fiance but after landing in Alaska she receives an unexpected text that wasn't meant for her, it was for her fiance's lover!
Furious she wants to go back to Seattle but the last connection flight had just taken off but by chance pilot Lucky is heading her way.
Unfortunately things take a turn for the worst weather wise and they have to land in the small town of Polar Creek.
Kreston is the Mayor of Polar Creek as well as many other things and when Sadie and Kreston first meet to most definitely isn't all hearts and flowers!
But Polar Creek starts to thaw Sadie's heart with the wonderful and unique people that live there.
An enjoyable easy festive read.

A lighthearted, sweet, seasonal, witty story. Reminds me of a hallmark movie. Sadie is in Alaska for a break with her fiancée when an unexpected text message changes all that. She ends up in Polar Creek where she meets the mayor and all the quirky inhabitants. Kreston really is the perfect man, he’s funny, loveable and has a heart of gold but Sadie who’s so prickly initially just wants to leave. Now stranded in Polar Creek she soon becomes enamoured with the town and the people, who are all amazing but it’s Kreston who captures her heart. Is the feeling mutual? Will she go back to Seattle? This was a fun, wacky read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is the third book in this 'cosy' seasonal series of reads. This book features Sadie, who after the disappointment of her fiancé moving onto another, she changes her holiday plans. Ending up stranded and with events causing chaos and frustration. She meets Kreston, who apart from having several town roles, now is set to trying to get her to see life from a different view.
It was a refreshing and enjoyable read after the other two books and between other genres on my reading list. :D

The book is great. This is the first one I have read from this author.
Sadie has an ex that is a real winner, NOT! She winds up stranded in Alaska.
Kreston has a past he is trying to find redemption from. He is a one man band.
Tropes:
Small town, protective alpha, comedy, holiday, Christmas, New Year, opposites attract, travel, fish out of water,HEA romance.

A huge thank you to LoLo Paige and Booksprout for providing me with an eARC book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is an insta love romance set in a small town of Alaska. The characters are very different and quirky and they all come together to create a found family that live and support each other. The two main characters have had difficulties and disappointments with past relationships so are a bit leery at first but get over it with the help of friends. I just wish there was a confrontation with the ex but still a good book.

This is a delightful second chance Christmas book set in Polar Creek Alaska. The quirky cast of characters alone make this a worthwhile read, but the romance between Sadie and Kreston is as breathtaking as the descriptions of rural Alaska that LoLo incorporates into her books. This should definitely go on your TBR list this season.

When Sadie's fiancé sends her a text meant for another woman she texts back and tells him not to join her in Alaska and that they were finished. It sets the stage for her connection with Kreston who is a jack of all trades in the small town of Polar creek. Will their connection lead Sadie to her second chance for love.

The action takes place in a small Alaskan town called Polar Creek.
The main male character, Kreston, is mayor, postman, sled dog owner, pilot and all round go to guy, for anything and everyone in the town.
After learning her fiance has been cheating on her, Sadie gets stranded by a blizzard in Polar Creek.
I loved meeting all the quirky people and learning a bit about life in Alaska.
I enjoyed this seasonal cosy read.

Sadie finds out that her fiance is a cheater just as she realizes she is stranded in Alaska. She is offered a plane ride that has to touch down in Polar Creek, Alaska, due to a snowstorm. There she meets the town's jack-of-all-trades, Kreston. It is quickly apparent that the town is matchmaking them, but the things they have in common are slower to appear. The townsfolk are hilarious and add lots to the story.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I like how being stranded for a few days in Polar Creek allows Sadie to find love and peace with Kreston. Sometimes the rat race is not worth the trouble and going to a slower and rewarding life is best. I liked the humor and quirkiness in this story.

This was a cute book with lots of crazy characters. I was a little surprised the ex didn’t show up in Alaska. This book is about choosing your family and making the hard (although right!) decisions that lead to your best life.

I don’t think this book is part of a series but it should be. There are some great characters that I would love to know more about!

An enjoyable holiday short story rom-com. I read it through in a couple of winter stormy days. It resolved well, and had good descriptions of rural Alaska.

This story makes a fine introduction to the author’s full length novels.

Laugh Out Loud

Lolo Paige creates another fabulous rom com with a wide variety of characters. This book could easily be a Hallmark movie. I'd love to read more books with this group of characters. A new series Lolo?
