Kayla was sent off to live with the nuns of perpetual silence when she displeased her father. That was thirteen long years ago. Now, she's a novice nun when the hoard of terrifying Vikings attack.
She's huddled with the other women when a handsome blond Viking appears and starts sorting them into categories according to looks and abilities: leave, keep, sell. When he comes to her, roughly lifting her chin, they are both in shock. It is Ranulf, the childhood sweetheart her father forbade to see so long ago. He thinks quickly, covering her exceptionally beautiful face and claiming her as his own to keep the other men away. But will he able to keep his prize once the secret is out?
*Taken By The Viking* is a mid length romantic novella. We hope you enjoy!

She's fascinated by mythology and the power dynamics inherent in romantic relationships (whether between two humans, a clone and a human, a werebat and a human... you get the idea). I liked the story but the book needs another editing. There are many misspellings and wrong words used, even words left out.
Ranulf🐺🍆⛲🔪, a huge Viking Warrior, finds Kayla💃💕, a Saxon woman, hiding in a nunnery on one of his raids. He knows her from his youth! Now they are adults, so he takes her back to his village to be his beautiful wife👰💋. She is his most valuable prize🎁. Others there want her for themselves or are jealous......
I typically don’t read historical romance but found this one. It’s an easy read, not big into historical details, and it’s a pretty simple plot. A beach read as I would consider it. Might look at the other stuff the author has if I want to do some light reading.
I love this book and the characters I love reading these kind of book this one was very well written and I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for a great read.
Normally I don't read historical romance but this author brings in a way that I can understand and love. This book is different then what I normally read but I think that's why I love it even more. Ranulf and Kayla have a history but when they got to close, Kayla's dad sent her away. Ranulf is a blond hair gorgeous Viking who was on a raid and wasn't expecting to see her again. Things change after this. I love Ranulf. He's so protective and loving towards Kayla. He even risked losing so called friends over her. He's super sweet and the chemistry between them is electric. They only issue I had with this book was the different spelling of Kayla's name. I wasn't sure why that happened. All in all it was a great book and makes you want to have a Viking like Ranulf!
I did actually enjoy this book. It was a quick little read I finished pretty fast. It did seem a little rushed but oh well. Ranulf was a sweet brutish man but took good care of Kayla. I thought it was sweet how after so much time they found each other. There was a far amount of action going on to keep you interested. I do wish the end/kinda epilogue was a little longer. And I assume it was a typo but the last chapter Kayla was called Kaylia the whole time. Regardless this was a good little read.
Another adult type bedtime story with Vikings and helpless maidens at their mercy. The plot is simple and nothing too original but it served its purpose and was just meant to be a bit of fluffy, erotica that is every woman's fantasy...a hunk of a Viking and the woman he claims for his own. There is jealousy, family battles and not much else in the way of storyline, but it was still fun to read. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
**** 3.5 **** "where can I find my own blond Viking?" stars
Ranulf is not your typical Viking raider. He participates in the raids but dreams of his own home and having a little farm. When he meets his childhood friend again during a raid, he is determined to protect her.
It is a pretty quick read. I enjoyed the story, It is told from his point of view so you don;t get to know Kayla as well. He is very devoted to her safety and really does love the young woman he rescues. There are some threats to their happiness they have to face but you get your happy ever after,
