Dori Chaconas learned story pacing from an early age while entertaining her younger siblings. The author of such picture books as ON A WINTRY MORNING, ONE LITTLE MOUSE, and MOMMA, WILL YOU?, she lives in Germantown, Wisconsin.

"I like you because you make me feel good in my heart." "Collected laughs all the way home." Nice series, but imo not special. However I might feel differently if I'd been able to read the first two books first.

The fourth easy reader about friends Cork, a muskrat, and Fuzz, a possum, this adventure begins with the friends comparing the things they collect. They get in some minor trouble when Fuzz finds an excellent stone for his stone collection only to discover, as it starts hatching, that it's an egg instead of a stone. Cork and Fuzz easy readers are good for readers who have already achieved some fluency; this series seems comparable in level to Henry and Mudge and will appeal to fans of animal stories and gentle humor.

I liked it because they collect things. I want to have a collection too. It was funny how Fuzz was sitting in the nest under the goose.

This is a simple book for beginning readers who are just starting to read chapter books. The two characters are silly and fun and their antics are crazy.

It's one of the Cork & Fuzz series by Dori Chaconas and Lisa McCue. We enjoyed reading this book together and we will certainly look for more of the books in this series at our local library.

What a great series! I read this title and then ordered the rest. My 9 year old and I laugh out loud at the antics of this possum and muskrat team. My 13 year old son even likes to hear them read aloud. From calling ducks-buzzard bees to getting trapped in a bear trap of their own making...this series makes me smile. The illustrations are some of the best I've seen. Perfect for reluctant readers.

My boys cannot get enough of Cork and Fuzz! Cork likes collecting stones and Fuzz likes collecting just about everything. One day while visiting Cork's pond, they happen upon some "green stones" that start cracking and then their adventures begin!
