قد يظن القارئ أنَّ قصة الملك البرتغالي سيباستيان، وحكاية ظهوره بعد عشرين عامًا من إعلان مقتله في معركة القصر الكبير في المغرب ضد السلطان عبد الملك يوم الرابع من أغسطس 1578م،
تتناول لحظة تاريخية معينة من الصراع بين أوروبا المسيحية والمسلمين المدافعين عن دينهم وأراضيهم ودولهم، وتتناول مصير حملةٍ من الحملات الصليبية التي انهزم فيها الملك البرتغالي الشاب شرَّ هزيمة في ساعات معدودة ضد الجيش المغربي المسلم ومناصريه.

About the author

Dr Abdul Rahman Azzam is a graduate of Oxford University where he completed his BA and PhD in history.
