The heat has cranked up on this book. The story line remains a little light but the heat is cranked up. Savannah is racking up partners while her beau is trying to get to the bottom of the murders plaguing three town. Her “teachers” haven’t done much because no matter the topic at hand or the to do list, Savannah can’t keep her mind out of the gutter. So be ready for hot and heavy everything. This is a erotic book in the literal sense so if you want depth to the story and happy times as a side note then you should probably pass on this and find something a little less adulty times.

This was slightly better than book one, but it was still not good. This book was desperately in need of an editor, much like the first one. Lilith from book one is now Lilit throughout book two, Roman was 8,000 years old in book one, he's now 10,000 years old, ravens are still cawing, but now, a group of them is called a murder. That's crows, btw, the caws and the murder. A group of ravens is called an unkindness, and they croak/gronk. I love crows and ravens. 😅 I'm still going to read the next book (if it comes out/I can find it? Kindle says 3 books but shows 2), but I honestly am not expecting much. Go in with low/no expectations, and you won't be let down.🤞🏻

Carnal Sanctuary: Savannah’s Awakening, is the perfect opening book in a spicy PNR series. In a world where she’s never felt safe, Savannah (FMC), a human with no knowledge of the existence of a paranormal community, realizes she’s an immortal after surviving a horrific accident. I loved seeing Savannah’s journey as a new immortal as she grew into a stronger more confident version of herself. Roman (MMC), an immortal who has been around for centuries takes her under his wing along with his family of paranormal creatures. The paranormal secondary characters include fae, werewolves, witches, and many others. The villain of the story, Lilith, is based on the folklore with a creative twist making an original, terrifying, antagonist. I don’t want to say too much about Lilith; the reveals are so good and need to be read to be appreciated. Sandoval wrote each character with so much detail and depth staying true to each paranormal’s unique traits to create fully rounded characters. Even though I can struggle to visualize characters/ events, Ellie describes everything so well I could picture them without effort. There is lots of spice, immortals have an increased appetite for everything. The spice fits the storyline well and both are balanced. The ending managed to be both heartwarming and devastated at the same time. There are several mysteries left that I can’t wait to see answered in the future novels. I personally don’t love when a novel in a series ends with everything tied in a perfect bow.. if it’s ongoing I need something to pick at in my mind until I read the next book. If you love PNR with lots of spice and mystery, definitely check out Carnal Sanctuary: Savannah’s Awakening.

Everything, the mystery, suspense, powers, and spice, in the second novel is more intense. There is a good amount of spice throughout the story. It is well balanced with the plot with neither the spice, action, or mystery overtaking each other. Savannah grows so much in this book through struggles, triumphs, losses, and wins. She has to balance mastering her growing powers and her nearly insatiable appetites as a new immortal. Thankfully, she has the guidance of Roman and the other paranormals living in the mansion to aide her. The antagonist in the novel is ritualistically murdering people living in town, leaving Roman, Savannah, and their little found family scrambling to figure out who’s killing and why. I enjoy trying to piece together mysteries as I read them trying to guess the ending before I get there. With Sandoval, I am woefully unable to guess correctly. She has an ability to write with such vivid details while still being able to leave subtle clues that don’t hit you until the twist has been revealed. The ending was satisfying, a touch heartbreaking, and left an opening for big reveals in the next novel. I cannot wait to continue the series and highly recommend it.

Like book one, this one has a lot of smut in it. It's like 80% smut 20% plot lol. So if you love a book like that then you will love this series. But this one goes on after book one and it's a little more interesting because there murders going on and they are working on Savannah magic more. So you get to understand what she has that is more special. There so much more that happens, but I won't say what happened to ruin the book. But like I said, this book is more smut than anything. So if you love books like this. Give it a read.

This book delivers on its tag line. It’s full of carnal pleasures of all varieties but has a story line that keeps it flowing and not just about the pleasure. Sometimes though the plot gets a little lost among all the good times but it’s a very adulty interesting read. I’m always curious what the over heated Savannah is going to get up to and what weird twist is going to happen. This is a thick book so be prepared when you dive in!

So effing good. It's longer, hotter, and more paranormally than Book One. And so EFFING good. Get the paperback so you get a glimpse of what's in store for Book Three. This is quickly becoming my favorite paranormal romance series and I can't wait to see what Ellie (who is, like 24) is writing in a few years. She's as brilliant as she is gorgeous.

One heroine finds herself somewhat overwhelmed by both the new reality she is learning about and the steamy desires of all her housemates. Which one will take precedence is anybody's guess.

This is book two of a four book serial. It is definitely best to read these in order.

The story is well written and easy to read with a mixture of the paranormal and lots of steam. We get a bit more background in this book, but there is still a lot to learn. The characters continue to be intriguing and definitely provide some interesting, and usually very steamy, interactions. And this second edition of the book expands on all of the above which is all to the good.
Overall, I enjoyed this new version and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This is the second book in the Carnal Sanctuary series. It was better than the first but still left much to be desired. I found myself getting lost and rereading paragraphs to try and understand what was going on. This book is heavier on the spice than the first book. Ellie Sandoval and DK Long can write a smut scene like no other.

Savannah's did have some growth throughout the book. Roman's shift in character really surprised me. I felt that he character regressed into old ways in this book. I liked the brining back of side characters that were at the end of the first book to make them more of a main in the second.

The ending of this book was just as crazy and a cliffhanger as the first. I am hoping that the third book will continue to make the series better. I am looking forward to reading the series.

This is book 2 in the Carnal Sanctuary Series. The 5 pepper spice is spicy while Savannah continues to explore her developing powers that come with her newfound immortality. I love that this book is able to carry on an intriguing story line, filled with a sex cult and random murders, while keeping up with Savannah's training and many new relationships, and still deliver the smut we all came for!
