He broke my spirit, now he wants to own me.

Lincoln Blackwood is a force to be reckoned with at St. Charles University. As the star quarterback and the apple of everyone’s eye, his charm is as legendary as his notoriety. With a lineage as twisted as his three brothers, Lincoln thrives in the chaos they create. But when his mother's marriage brings Iris Shelby into his life as an unwanted stepsister, the battle lines are drawn.

Iris, with her pristine facade, seems untouchable. Yet, under the pressure of maintaining her top rank and the incessant need to escape, she delves into a nightlife riddled with parties, drinking, and the forbidden. To Lincoln, she's a challenge; something to unravel and possess.

Loyalty is thin, and secrets are currency, Iris must face a choice between surrender and survival, and Lincoln has to decide if he’s willing to finally allow someone other than his brothers in.

This is a dark college MF sports romance. There will be content that you would expect to see in dark romance. Please check the content list before reading.

╰┈➤KITTY KATS CRAZY ABOUT BOOKS

'W𝐈C𝐊E𝐃 𝐅U𝐑Y' Is the first full length sports romance book within the (Wicked Brothers of SCU) series. Spoken in dual perspectives. Lincoln & Iris

After seeing this pop up on here a few times, I needed to get my hands on it, first the cover, then the blurb then I went and #onecicked, all I was hoping for was that it would throw out all those angsty feels I love to chase.

Being that this is a debut author is astounding, she nailed the angst, the storyline pulled me in, her dialogue was easy to follow, and the characters were relatable, this ticked a lot of boxes.

TROUPES:
Enemies-to-Lovers
Bully Romance
Step Siblings
Obsessive & Possessive MMC
College Romance
Sports Romance

The brothers all intrigue me *coughs* especially the unhinged one (Penn)
Four brothers, four different mothers. The untouchable Blackwood brothers are campus royalty, from their sport stats to their last name. I'm also wanting to know more about the father, to hide bodies what is it that he does? And now they are in his debt?

Imagine when a one night stand arrives at the church the same day as you, his mother marries her father. It should’ve ended there. But she got under his skin that night and his obsession grew from there. And when I say obsessed he took it to a whole other level.

📚 'S𝐡e's b𝐞c𝐨m𝐞 𝐦y o𝐛s𝐞s𝐬i𝐨n
a p𝐮z𝐳l𝐞 𝐭o s𝐨l𝐯e
a c𝐨d𝐞 𝐭o c𝐫a𝐜k
a f𝐥a𝐦e t𝐨 𝐞x𝐭i𝐧g𝐮i𝐬h.'

Iris keeps to herself, doesn't appear to have many friends, keeps her head down and is an overachiever when it comes to her academic studies and like a pressure cooker ready to explode she is barely hanging on and partakes in popping the odd pill to get her through her rigorous schedule set out by her overbearing father. She's floundering in a sea of sharks. No one knew the true Iris, but Lincoln saw through the persona she presented to the world and he was going to take her down a peg or two and expose who she really is..But along the way he started falling and falling hard, she got in his head, under his skin, all he thought about was her.

Lincoln is a hot commodity on campus, the golden boy quarterback, he has his brothers through thick and thin and they will always have each others backs.

These two clash, the push and pull, and don't think that Iris is a wallflower she's anything but, she gives Lincoln a run for his money and doesn't back down once.

But there’s also someone else whose a little obsessed and unhinged with this hot quarterback and goes to great lengths to try and bring him down..

This definitely had me racing through the pages and I can’t wait to read more by this author. 65451226-2019570151487824-6157464638251335680-n

I tried this book before and stopped immediately when she said he was a "brute" 😂😂😂😂🤦🤦🤦🤦 I've said this before when I read blindside by Kate stiener and she says "brute" in that book too. Because college kids don't say brute. Ever. Never ever. Okur? I don't even say brute at the age of 43. So yes, I dnfed one chapter in 😂😂😂

So I tried this again this time......and it just gets worse!!!!!! The flowery, overwrought sentences with excessive hyperbole and trying to make these guys alpha and amazing 🙄🙄🙄💩 He sees her at a party, she calls him a brute 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 and then she says I wanna FUCK and they fuck in a random room. Then he's at his moms wedding and the girl is the grooms daughter. The whole time he's thinking cringy ass thought like "yeah, come closer and come in to my spider web. I've got you now" and I'm like 🙄🙄🙄🙄😐😐😐😐😐😂😂😂😂😂 If you need examples, you can check my kindle notes I highlighted. I ain't a liar.

Also, he smirks 164 times in this book. Word search came up with 164 fucking times he smirks.

Is he smirking near the fox?
Is he smirking in the box?
He is smirking with a mouse
He is smirking by the house!

I mean, maybe the arc readers really did like this book but I can't take anymore of this shit. Fucking DNF!!!!!!!

Lincoln and Iris meet at a college party where they hit it off and immediately have intense chemistry which leads to an intense night together. What he thought was a one-night stand turned out to be something so much more when the very next day at his mom's wedding he comes face to face with his new step sister who just so happens to be Iris, the girl he just had an intense, hot one night stand with.

Iris has this “perfect good girl act” on but meeting her the night before, Lincoln can see right through her act and this “perfect good girl” she’s trying to portray and he has made it his mission to show the whole family and the rest of the world who she really is and expose her for who she really is. What he didn’t predict was that while trying to do so, he ended up becoming obsessed with her and falling in love with her and would literally do anything to be with her.

I loved the chemistry and the push and pull between these two. You could tell it was there the moment they interacted with each other. It was intense. I became hooked and obsessed with how Lincoln was obsessed and how hard he was falling for Iris. It was entertaining and the way Iris would push his buttons to get that free-spirited side out in him. It wasn’t all Lincoln falling for Iris though. She was just as much into him as he was her and she was putty in his hand when it came to his dirty talking mouth.

The spice in this book was intense, hot, delicious and everything you want when it comes to a dark sexy romance! *Chefs Kiss* 🤌🏼

This book had it all. It was sexy AF, quite dark, emotionally charged, and suspenseful with intense chemistry and morally grey characters.

I 𝙇𝙊𝙑𝙀𝘿 the side characters just as much as I loved Iris and Lincoln! Like I’m obsessed with Lincoln’s brothers. I need them to have their own books!

It was well-written, jaw-dropping, addictive, all-consuming and intense. I can’t recommend this book enough!

Worthy of more than 5 STARS!!

Iris has had enough of been a puppet. Things change when she gains the hot sexy QB as a step brother.

Lincoln motherfuckin Blackwood

I loved this book. I'm a sucker for step-sibling enemies to lovers romance and this is sooo good. Lincoln wants to save Iris but also wants to destroy her too and Iris wants to hate Lincoln but at the same time hates to want him too. The thing with secrets is they don't stay secret for long and with a step brother like Lincoln he will use anything he can find against his new step sister until he's broken her.

This book was amazing and look forward to the next

I could not stand the amount of talking to himself the MMC was doing. Literally it became cringy. You’re telling me that he sat at his mother’s wedding and just talked to himself the whole time? Like full blown conversations. Nope. Can’t do it.

I wanted to love it but it felt like something was missing. The writing was so mediocre.

The hero whose name I forgot was behaving like a wannabe alpha male which he was absolutely not. His inner monologues seemed very cringey.

The heroine was much better though. She was strong and feisty.

‼️no cheating, there is ow drama, but not in a traditional sense just comes in end‼️

Nearly 500 pages of internal dialogue from underdeveloped characters that read like caricatures of a bad tv villain origin story, and a little girl lost.

The writing flips from scene-scene with barely any groundwork being laid to allow the reader to understand where the character is physically (inside/outside, school/home, field/locker room etc.)
There’s little to no descriptive information given regarding appearance, other than nipple piercings and tattoos being mentioned.
Overall it needs quite a bit of editing to make it a more seamless read.

I’m definitely done choosing books by tropes, because what intrigued me most about this book in particular, ended up being a story w/ the whole kitchen sink of tropes thrown in with nothing landing correctly.

If you want a sports/bully romance, read Untouchable by Sam Mariano

Looking for an actual baddie, read God of Malice by Rina Kent

Need a stepbrother to hate f***? read Hate Me by Ashley Jade

My biggest pet peeve is ons in the first paragraph where h is aggressive bitch in heat. So off putting.

And H is having a big ego talk in his head, how wanted and awesome he is and how lowly others are.

And, what kind of ons was that. They didn’t kiss or touch, she was soaked and he just banged her from behind and for both of them that was amazing?! The only explanation here is- she was on molly, that’s the only thing what would make her wet and enjoy this encounter 🥴

🔸 h is promiscuous druggie

This was true enemies to lovers, beginning to end & I loved every second of it😫

Iris & Lincoln were not fond of eachother in the beginning, and I just knew from their first interaction with each other that everything would be more than what it seemed.

Iris is trying to find an escape from her rigid life put in place by people who she’s supposed to love & trust, and it was such a journey to see her struggling but it was so satisfying to have her find her footing. Lincoln needs someone who will stick with him through the messed up times where he can’t necessarily control his demons.

Their banter was to die for & were my favorite moments, and I really liked how they both learned to love each other. THE SPICE, whewww Lincoln had my feet kicking🤭🤣

Thank you to Havoc for this arc!🖤🖤

4/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Okay seriously, how can one book contain all of my favorite tropes!

Enemies to Lovers ✔️
Football ✔️
Step-siblings ✔️

Iris Shelby was only meaning to have a one night stand with the hot as sin/cocky football player. Honestly, not even a one night stand. She legit banged him and left to go back to a party 😅😂. Lincoln was shocked to say the least since it’s usually him walking away and the women begging for more attention from him. Not Iris though and that drives him nuts. What’s even better? They both end up at the same wedding the next day. Not just any wedding…their parents! WHO DOESN’T LOVE A LITTLE TABOO SPRINKLED INTO THEIR SPORTS/COLLEGE/ENEMY TO LOVERS DARK ROMANCE!!!???

This was such a spicy and easy read. I can’t wait to get more from Havoc Wilde about the Blackwood boys!

RATING: 4.5/5
I enjoy reading the dark, forbidden, step-sibling trope—dun, dun, dun, duh, and have zero qualms about it. Author Havoc Wilde’s “Wicked Fury” delivers a gritty college vibe with two characters, Lincoln and Iris, who have parents with whom they have a strong antagonistic relationship. In addition, Lincoln and Iris can’t stand each other either.

Iris was quite troubled and had challenges that she expressed through partying and partaking in things that could get her in trouble with the law. At the same time, she created and kept up an image that was the opposite. No one knew the true Iris.

However, her relationship with Lincoln, though forbidden and contentious, brings on other emotions, especially when Lincoln begins to see what Iris’ relationship truly is with her father.

It took me a while to warm up to Iris, but that might have been intentional. Iris put up walls to prevent other people from getting close to her, and it was written as such. I did like how she evolved and the strength that she had. The spice was very good—no joke—what Lincoln did to Iris, especially when she was asleep, was a wow. There were many other memorable scenes. I enjoyed the book.

“Wicked Fury” is the story of Iris and Lincoln.

A stepsibling enemies to lovers romance. Was recommended in a romance group, it was underwhelming for me. The hero was possessive but most of the drama was his own making and the heroine was.. confused. Skimmed it .

🌶️ 3.5/5

“A dark knight for a fallen angel. Match made in hell.”

This book had me hooked from the prologue! This is about Lincoln & Iris who have an incounter one night and become step-siblings the next. Iris wants nothing to do with Lincoln and she quickly finds out that Lincoln wants everything to do with her. The possessiveness and protectiveness Lincoln has towards Iris is top notch and had me swooning at times. Now I’m going to need books about each brother!! 👀

I swear the heat, rage, and angst from this book was heating up my kindle!! It was hot!!

Iris had had enough of being a puppet, her perfect rehearsed mask cracked the moment she met star Quarterback Lincoln Blackwood, nothing could ve prepared her for how he would enter her life and wreak absolute chaos on everything.

This book was like a calculated game of chess, every word and interaction between the characters deliberate and strategical, particularly between Iris and Lincoln and Lincoln and his brothers. I absolutely loved the story and the twists. I did guess who was messing with Iris and Lincoln straight away. I found it obvious, but I didn't know why, and I thought that ending was perfect

Iris and Lincoln s story wasn't easy it was emotionally fuelled and toxic a.f but I was invested and couldn't put it down. I need to know each of the brothers' stories now, and im hanging out for book 2

okay so I liked the plot and book because it had some of my favourite tropes, I was considering giving it three stars but the ending was perfect sooo

Just one thing that kinda bugged me were the long monologues or when the mmc started talking to himself, that was just weird

"Wicked Fury" by @authorhavocwilde is a dark, intense romance that pulls readers into the tumultuous world of college football and forbidden love. Havoc Wilde masterfully intertwines elements of dark romance, enemies-to-lovers dynamics, and the complexities of a moody, brooding stepbrother relationship.

Lincoln Blackwood, the charismatic and notorious star quarterback of St. Charles University, finds his orderly chaos disrupted by his new stepsister, Iris Shelby. Iris, a top student with a hidden wild side, becomes Lincoln's newest obsession. Their interactions are a whirlwind of tension, passion, and the constant struggle for control.

The characters are well-developed, with Lincoln's possessive and jealous nature contrasting sharply with Iris's sassy and defiant spirit. Their chemistry is palpable, making for a gripping read. The book doesn't shy away from dark themes, and Wilde's portrayal of the characters' internal battles and the high stakes of their relationship adds depth to the story.

Overall, "Wicked Fury" is a compelling read for fans of dark romance, featuring a sassy heroine, a possessive hero, and the thrilling backdrop of college football. It's a must-read for anyone who enjoys intense, emotionally charged romances.

Great debut book, I have to admit I did struggle with the start of this book. It took me a while to get into but that could just be me, maybe I’ve hit a bit of a slump lol

It had so many of my favourite tropes and I definitely enjoyed the second half of the book more.

I was torn between 3.5/4 stars, but like I said maybe it’s just me so I went with 4.

Lincoln and Iris hook up at a party and have an instant connection. But while attending his mums wedding he’s surprised to find out Iris is about to become his step sister. He kinda makes things difficult for Iris but he’s also quite obsessed with her.

I loved the banter with Lincoln and his brothers.

Lincoln and Iris are college students who have a one night stand. He’s the star quarterback, and she’s the smartest one on campus trying to live up to daddy dearest’s expectations. The next day, at his mother’s wedding, he realizes Iris is his new stepsister and decides to make her life hell. She just can’t escape him. They both have issues they are dealing with, all while havoc is ensuing behind the scenes. This was a good dark, bully romance with some crazy stuff going on.

I DEVOURED THIS BOOK!!!! I got an ARC for this and was going in with it being my first non fantasy dark romance so I was unprepared but I love it. The back & forth with trying for dominance between iris & lincoln!!! The spice???? The drama??? This book captured the perfect amount of everything!!!

I was going to give 5 but I just couldn’t get over Lincoln talking to himself at the wedding out loud 😭 it stuck with me because I was like damn this man is really bold but at at the same time I was like how is he doing this with everyone next to him and they’re just not hearing him???

Other than that!!!! Ughhhhh I need moreeeeee of them more of this writing!
