A sweet and sexy small town romance with Romeo and Juliet vibes!
The Harts and the Hayes have had an ongoing feud and hatred for each other since the death of a family member, with blame being placed on both sides.
Delaney returns to Wildwood 10 years later to clean up the mess left behind and maybe salvage something from it.
Ethan is immediately drawn to Delaney, and memories of his teenage crush on her aren't helping.
Their families are enemies, they both feel guilt on their own behalf of the tragedy, and the community is torn between sides. Not to mention the Hayes control the town politically, lawfully and financially.
It's a shame the heart knows what it wants!
What started as a Forbidden Fling turned into so much more than either of them expected or wanted.
This was a sweet and sexy read and had a great sense of small town community. Ingrained in each other's lives, helping and supporting each other; what you'd imagine a small town would feel like belonging to, complete with match making mothers.
I loved the chemistry between Ethan and Delaney, how logic is always warring with emotion and desire. They know the problems it can cause, the reaction it'll have yet they just can't turn away. Not just about the sheets either, (although phew), they unexpectedly find comfort and friendship in each other too.
The ending did seem a little open ended and hurried, but all will be answered in #2 with Avery's story. Can't wait!

I love a good, forbidden romance. Delaney and Ethan are just that, forbidden to each other.
With Delaney's return and Ethan's eye set on the demolish of The Bad Seed, their lives become more entwined than they imagined.
Ethan and Delaney have a connection like no other, and everything is stacked against them. From the death of Ian to Ethan's family and even Delaney's unsureness of what she plans to do with the bar. They fight their feelings every step of the way, even if it might cost them their heart. Outside forces (Ethan's father and brother, and some others) make it a determination to get Delaney and the bar gone, but Delaney pushes back. She has a right to do so, and if that means pissing some people off and renovating the bar, then by all means, she will. She's been nothing but herself, the person she has grown to be, and not the girl the town remembers. She breathes a breath of fresh air wherever she goes. And Ethan knows it. He knows without a doubt that Delaney is meant to be his. He's doing everything he can inside the bedroom to prove this to her, but outside, things are cracking. His brewery plans with pops and his relationship with his family because Delaney chose to renovate the bar. When his brother and father do the unthinkable and try threatening Delany, he finally comes to realize it will never stop unless he walks away.
Ethan and Delaney were not meant to be together until their feelings for one another proved each other wrong.

There are no words...This is the best of Skye's stories so far <3. It's HOT, the most erotic scenes she's ever written, it's stuffed full of emotion and it ends a little different than I expected, which I love!
I have adored her Renegades Series. Skye has a way of drawing you into a story and falling in love with her characters. You pull for them to have their happy ending. You want them to grow and heal. I can't tell you how she does it, she's the author and I'm not. I just know I never want one of her stories to end. I just want to keep reading and reading and never leave their world. She's brought this bad girl back to town to deal with her dad's abandoned hell raising bar. No one wants her there, they just want the building GONE. The small town's building inspector had a teen crush on her and his family is the one who's got the bad blood towards her as the family's "golden boy" was killed in the bar 8 years ago. So much guilt and manipulation here. So much healing needs to happen. Can this "Romeo & Juliet" get their HEA? In Skye's capable hands, yes they can. I love the journey and these character's hearts. Skye makes the journey real and believable.

4.5 Sexy Stars!
I love that Skye wrote a book involving home-brew! I can see this little town of Wildwood is going to have a lot to offer and can’t wait for more in the series.
Delany Hart and Ethan Hayes are great together, especially the hot scenes that Skye is always able to deliver with enough heat to make your kindle melt yet different from any she has written before. Their challenges are great, and they still have a way to go, but at least they are on the same page.
I liked the small town feel, how you had conflict between those who welcomed Delaney back and those who wished she stayed away. The Hayes family is very hateful and I truly felt bad for Ethan – I was so glad he had his grandfather on his side. I love that Grandpa grows the hops and Ethen brews the beer, you just want to see their dream come true.
Delany was lucky to have her Aunt, it was sweet to see her re-united with her sister, I just wish they could get her other one to come back as well. Delany also gets a chance to show people she is not who they thought she was, she has great ideas, believes in using local labor and products and now she has ideas for such a change in The Bad Seed, I can’t wait to see what happens.

Ethan’s family were some of the most cheating, lying, power hungry people I have read in a while. Ethan and his grandpa were the only two that were kind hearted and caring. There was bad blood between Ethan’s family and Delaney’s family, but pointed mostly at Delaney. I felt so bad for Delaney as she had taken care of her two sisters when she was younger and then lost track of them. I loved the plans Delaney had of rebuilding her father’s bar, where Ian who was Ethan’s cousin, had died. Delaney wanted to make something of it for her sisters. Ethan’s family was determined to kick her out of town.
Ethan and Delaney’s situation was hot as can be. The two were the last two people who should be together. There were so many situations going on for Delaney and Ethan separately that affected them both. Ethan’s father was so nasty and did a good job of controlling Ethan in his job. I was waiting for Ethan to finally fight back. I am looking forward to Delaney’s sisters’ stories. I encourage you to read the book.

I knew this was going to be one hot drama filled story after the first chapter, and I am here for it.
The interaction between Ethan & Delany is HAAWWTT!! Even when they are just having a regular conversation, you can feel the chemistry between them leap off the pages. The secondary characters really help move this story as well. I was either laughing or wishing someone would get stabbed in the eye, and that's a good thing, because if you don't care about the supporting cast, reading the book becomes tedious. There's a LOT of history between the main characters, and their respective families. This not only threatens the relationship between Ethan and Delaney, but also the family dynamics that have been in place for years.
Ultimately, this is a love story. At the end of the day, Love always wins. I honestly cannot wait for the next book in this series and to see where the author takes this story. Great read.

I loved the book. It kept me on the edge of my seat because of the intensity of the writing about the relationships in this story. The hero, Ethan Hayes, and the heroine, Delaney Hart, have an intense relationship – forbidden, loving, snarky, fun; you name it! – and the family relationships that these two have to deal with, individually as well as a couple, will keep you riveted throughout the book. I laughed with them, I wanted to smack ‘em both, and I sniffled. Ms. Jordan wrote so much depth and feelings into the characters that it kept me on the edge of my seat. Truly, the family back-stories and the relationship between the hero and heroine are deep. I couldn’t put it down once I started it. What an amazing story.

It was a long road to forgiveness and healing but Ms. Jordan proves how strong a power love actually has. The ability to unify two broken hearts and give hope to a broken community. Inspiring.

I thought Forbidden was stellar for several reasons. One; it takes place 8n my neck of the woods in an area I've visited many many times. Two; it has a bit of a Romeo and Juliet vibe with two families who have bad blood between them. Three; Delaney Hart and Ethan Hayes are a couple of very likeable, complex characters who bear a burden of guilt from events in their pasts. And four; the chemistry between this two is blistering hot and their steamy encounters will set your pages on fire. Add in small town politics, drama filled family dynamics and a few interesting sec9ndary characters and voila...an extraordinary reading experience.

If you’ve ever read my reviews of Skye Jordan’s books, you know she’s one of my favorite authors. And you probably also know that the Renegades is one of my all-time favorite series too. Well, Forbidden is classic Skye Jordan. Ethan and Delaney's story was heartfelt at times, sad at other times and funny at times. You can feel the chemistry between these two characters throughout the entire read. I love how Ms. Jordan writes and I think you will too. If you’ve never experienced reading one of her books, I highly suggest you do so quickly – she definitely knows how to write contemporary romance.

This is book one in the Wildwood series and it features Ethan Hayes and Delaney Hart. He had a huge crush on her in high school but she only dated the bad boys. One night, a couple years out of high school, tragedy struck and their families became mortal enemies. Now, she’s back in town and he’s going to take his chance on that old crush but his family has other plans for her.
This was an enjoyable read. I couldn’t stand his family except for the grandfather. For such a great guy, you think that other people in his immediate family would be decent, but they’re not. The characters are fantastic, even the rotten ones and the storyline is great, but the ending was abrupt. You were just reading along and you turn the page and BAM!, it’s over. Looking forward to the next book in this series!

So many buried feelings and guilt. Ethan and Delaney are both trying to make up for what they feel are poor decisions from years ago. Delaney attempted to keep her family together until a series of events shattered her world and she left. Guilt fuels her to make up for perceived wrongs. Ethan is still letting his guilt keep him under his families thumb. When these two come together the sparks fly in more ways than one. I love these two together and d the sparks both with and without clothes!!!! You can’t help but be invested in the Wildwood drama!

This was such a wonderful story! Ethan and Delaney are hawt! They have some strong chemistry for sure! This small town romance had quite an intense vibe and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I felt so bad for both the these characters for everything they had to deal with! I’m so glad they found the happiness they deserved! This was such a well written story with a lot of depth that really brought the story and characters to life! Very highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book

Definitely enjoyed this book and getting to know Ethan and Delaney as an introduction to Wildwood. The beginning of the book was a little confusing for me until I figured out more of the back story - why Delaney left and why Ethan had a strong negative view of her father's bar - but once I figured it out, I enjoyed watching as the two of them navigated their relationship despite all of the baggage.
I look forward to seeing this couple in future stories.

Forbidden is the first book in the Wildwood series. I love the strong female characters that Skye Jordan writes - Delaney as the main character as well as her aunt Phoebe. The chemistry between Ethan and Delaney is smoking hot, but they also share sweet, vulnerable moments - they both share a tragic history involving the death of one of their peers which has resulted in tensions between their families that play a role in their story. Can't wait to read the next in this series!

I really enjoyed this book. I really felt for Ethan and Delaney. Will the past always dictate them? His family will never understand his relationship with her. Loved how she was and helps him realize he needs to free himself from his family, that she and Grandpa were the ones he cared the most for. Glad they finally got their happy ever after. I recommend this book.

There’s not much that I haven’t liked that Ms Jordan has written. This wasn’t my favorite but there’s so much potential in the series. I really liked Delaney and how she is able to survive. I wasn’t so sure about Ethan. He was too much under his family’s control. I was glad that he was able to come to terms with his feelings for Delaney and their future.

Forbidden is the 1st book in the new Wildwood Series and it's off to a fantastic start! Ethan and Delaney's story sucked me in at page one. Hot and spicy, full of drama, wonderful characters and ones not so wonderful.... this story kept me turning the pages. A wonderful story. Looking forward to the next book.
