the plot for this….. did not correlate or make sense at all….. but i’m looking the other way because the fan service/romantic moments was turned on high
from the cover once again, the focus is on the side couple (friends of the main couple, who are each other’s exes) they dated in the past, it didn’t work out, and they’re just childhood friends/neighbours i actually don’t fully get it but basically the male got stressed out so much that he went to the hospital and he has developed some sort of phobia/PTSD of romance the girl, being responsible and feeling guilty of what happened, has been doing some sort of exposure therapy to cure him (but also for her own selfish reasons of wanting to stay close to him, dwww babes i get you) this part of the story has gotten to the point where he’s doing much better with romantic interests/partners until another childhood friend reveals that they have feelings for him, which set his progress back his ex/childhood friend saves him from this situation and they had a heart to heart, that revealed that they still have feelings for each other, and he feels ok with his “exposure therapy” because all along, he wanted to get back together with her this whole time, and she reciprocated so he accepted that even if he feels broken, he’s able to find love again and that they both can tackle issues together from now on like slayyyyyyyy when exes get back together 😍😍
main couple - the step siblings even if they weren’t the main focus of the story, we were still able to see their lovey dovey moments and it was actually quite a lot! i tried to do this thing on books where i highlight every cute moment they had together, but it was too much for me to recount/do and i was honestly surprised that the author gave a lot of romantic fan service i love that we’re able to see that they are both equally in love with each other e.g. matching each other’s freak LMFAO, both wanting to be on a couple dynamic even when they’re supposed to be presenting as step siblings in certain situations, noting each other’s quirks but also seeing the other as endearing/saying they love them all the same like periodttt sir!!!
this volume satisfied what volume 11 couldn’t give me, idk where the author will go from here because i’m caught up with the light novel series, but if he ended it with this one, i wouldn’t mind cuz there’s nothing to progress further unless the author wants to explore how the step siblings would reveal their relationship/their growing up era idk but looking forward to more of them! what i do wish the author will continue to do is not include some cliche tropes for conflict like stupid miscommunication scenarios i like the bond, trust, flow, relationship that the main couple has right now, it would be really disappointing if a stupid conflict were to tear that down

This volume was a little bit different but not in a bad way. It focuses more so on Minami and Kawanami. The main characters Yumi and Mizuto are of course in this volume but they aren’t the main focus. That being said I still enjoyed this volume. With this volume not only do Minami and Kawanami’s relationship change but the main characters relationship also grows further.
This volume was, in my opinion, one of the weaker ones in the series. The side characters are interesting enough but they don't carry a full volume as well as the main characters do.
