They want the same woman

Series: The Vampire, the Witch, and the Werewolf Series Book #7
Author: Louisa Bacio
Rating: C+/B-
Review: Okay, so the truth is that the blurb and the fact that it's a shifter book sucked me into this one. Supposedly, it is a stand alone title, but I'm not sure I agree with that. It's really a matter of perception, I suppose. Can you read it without reading the other books? Sure - and if you consider it enough to warrant 'stand alone' status, I guess you have it. For me, however, if I find myself with a niggling feeling that I have missed something, or there are characters that I am wondering about and thinking 'And what's up with those two?' - then to me it is not stand alone. From the beginning, it was apparent that I had missed a lot - and that was not my only issue with the book.
My main pet peeve was just a lack of connection with the characters. It was apparent when it came to all the characters, but especially the two male leads. However, Dominick was the worst for me - I had a hard time with his character throughout the book....more so than any of the rest. It also bounced around which left a distinct lack of focus on the main characters. The books really focus more and encompass this whole world, not really giving the focus needed to these three characters and their particular story.
Don't get me wrong, I like a series built on a strong world an encompassing a whole bunch of characters, but there still needs to be a majority focus on the main ones and I didn't feel this was the case here. I did enjoy the story...there were just a few things that bothered me that kept it from being really great.
This was a very fast, emotional, HOT read! With a little bit of action and suspense thrown in. I don't normally read a lot of ménage books but this one works.
Jana has always felt like an outcast since she can't shift. She never felt like she really belonged with the pack and the man she loved never noticed her. So that leads her to heading out on her own to New Orleans.
I really felt for Jana. She was basically treated like she was defective and wanted to be better. She could be very stubborn at times but overall she is a great character.
Jana meets Andre, an alpha wolf in New Orleans. He's more of a lone wolf. I really liked Andre. He was super sweet and protective of Jana.
Dom took me a bit to warm up to. Jana was in love with him for so long but because of his mother he basically acted like he took no notice of her. Once she was gone it was like he realized what was missing. Both men are definitely studs and great in their own ways. It just took me longer to warm up to Dominick. They each balance Jana in a different way.
I'm definitely interested in reading the rest of this series now. There are a lot of great secondary characters who I'd love to read more about. Its definitely a fun series full of lots of different supernaturals.
Her Werewolf Menage is a fun, touching, exciting and erotic story that many fans of the genre will have a great time reading!
Jana has been the outcast for a majority of her life. Never being fully accepted into anything and knowing none of her dreams are even remotely possible of coming true because she's so...different. Then she does the best thing possible and leaves the place she's known as home. Now it's time for her to have a grand (and sexy) adventure that will forever change her life!
I've always enjoyed this authors writing and still continue to do so. She writes a great erotic story with fun and class. AWESOME! I look forward to much more of her work in the near future :) A 3.5 rating rounded to a solid 4.
Jana is a wolf who can't shift but decides to leave her home and start over leaving behind an alpha she has been in love with all of her life. In her new life she meets a man that she could learn to love.
I found Dominic a bit arrogant and off putting but then I guess that's what most Alphas might be like if you like overly dominant men. The story was a bit all over the place, one idea one minute and jumping to another the next. I give it three sweet teas.
I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
