At last, with all preparations complete, the Abyss Expedition sets out! Their journey to the edge of the realm takes them to the Factory of Curiosities, where horned beasts are manufactured. It is at the doorstep of this bizarre facility that the group faces their final and toughest challenge―an elite force of Masters here to crush Chaos once and for all! To gain the power to stand against this overwhelming enemy, Jaehwan ventures deep into the Factory to seek out an even greater threat…
I loved the mental layers of Jaehwan's mind. But I am curious if he actually cares for the people around him, I think he does, in an abstract way. He cares, but doesn't attach to them; understand that any one of them can fall and understand their fall has no change or effect on his chosen path. But that does make me wonder if he just manipulates them subconsciously (I don't think he do it on purpose), than just doesn't correct their ideas and misgivings. Assuming their goals are the same as his, since they've chosen to follow him. It does make you wonder about the levels and layers of what loyal means, too. Anywho, I really like this thought-provoking series. It's very good.
So, Jaehwan continues his quest to the abyss, but must first get The Sovereign to let him in. Because the abyss is ruled by gods who use awoken ones as minions. But Jaehwan royally pushed off a bunch of masters in the Great Realm so war is coming for his exposed back.
Still kinda confused on a world building and power set level, but I’m still entertained.
