This is a bright, upbeat style of writing from an author who has great potential as a storyteller. It takes a while to start up but once accounts like the liberation of the chickens and the following of the treasure map are told, the humor and pacing shine through.
In the initial chapters, the focus is on what they will contain and how funny they will be. This could have been a great start if the reader was shown the action unfolding and allowed to laugh along on the journey.
I hope the author considers taking some time to edit this book to really bring it to life, as it would then be a great read.
