no star rating. I got like a quarter through and put it down and have no desire to pick it back up. so since this is a DNF. I won't rate it officially, but from what I did get through 2 stars tops. The story was just alright, the typical human soul becomes a dungeon core and learns all the things. snarky fairy and in this story her son is her favored adventurer. At least I'm assuming so. I didn't get that far, but he was starting out and getting to know his new groupmates when I left off. Presumably he'll get to the dungeon by the end of the book. I was initially interested because I liked the garden theme. However the story itself just didn't keep my attention. Probably because I couldn't care less about the son? In any case I've no desire to finish this book at this point. I may or may not come back to it in the future. Recommended? not really but someone else might like it. Buy/Borrow? Borrow
Yeah. This wasn't badly written, but this definitely isn't for me.
I've read hundreds of books by female authors, so I don't think that the feminine touch is the problem. Maybe it's the plot that is the issue. I just know I won't be picking up the sequel.
I thought it would have been something different, but it's the same ole' song and dance. Mouthy fairy, human soul turned into a dungeon core learning the ropes, and I'm sure the dungeon favourite is going to be her son.
This was too emotional. A lot of issues could have been easily solved.
