I've been burned by Christian fiction before, so I was a bit wary of this book starting out, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. It's a sweet, crisp, fun romantic little venture, and thoroughly enjoyable for just what it is. Ryan and Maribeth have been burned before as well, and both are quite hesitant to get involved in something that could even hint of romance, but Andrews brings them together irresistibly... and quite sweetly as well.

Andrews strikes a great balance between making the faith of Maribeth and Ryan's awakening seem genuine without being hamhanded about it. A subtle faith is more effective than pulpit-banging, and I applaud the author for knowing how to craft a beautiful romance that has God in the midst, without alienating readers who may not agree on all points (though I, for one, consider myself Christian). I found myself thoughtful at many of Ryan's small epiphanies, and the little steps he takes, rather than some major personality change, are downright inspirational.

Don't go into this book expecting major crises and passion and tears. That's not what Love Inspired is about, and that's not what this book needs. It's a great example of fluffy, happy, trope-y goodness, and if that's what you're looking for, look no further. Small Town Billionaire's got your back. ;)

Ryan Brooks has come to Claremont to visit his sister, Dana. Ryan has also been thrown by a horse and suffered a severe knee injury that is keeping him in Claremont longer than expected. As he begins to meet different people, he begins to discover that there's something a little different about the people of Claremont. He is especially drawn to Maribeth Walton, the owner of Consigning Women. Maybe it's because she basically ignores him. Maybe because she is definitely not impressed by him. Little does he know that she isn't really ignoring him and that she is totally impressed by him. Maribeth is worried about her past mistakes though, and she doesn't think she can afford to fall in love with Ryan.

Another wonderful story in this great series from Renee Andrews. Ryan is driven and expects everyone else to be driven too. Maribeth likes her life just as it is. Nice and safe where her secret past is unknown. When Ryan decides to go for it, he unknowingly exposes Maribeth and causes her great pain. Can he make this right? Can Maribeth survive and come out of the other side stronger?

I wasn't sure I'd enjoy this book when it turned out the hero was a billionaire as seemed improbable that the heroine would be someone to attract a rich guy but the author managed to hook me almost immediately. The pace was just right and not rushed so that I could almost see and feel as if I was there watching the two people determined not to fall in love do the exact opposite. Definitely one you won't want to miss reading.

Sweet, sweet book! I really enjoyed the characters in this one. I've mentioned in other reviews that some of the books I've read lately contained so much drama that it was unreal. I think Renee Andrews got it just right in this one. Will definitely be looking for more from her!

A quick read. I liked that the book showed that small towns can be a healthy place to live. Also I liked that the book brought out that Godforgives and that trust friends also forgive. Another important topic was addressed, that of the sex trade.
