The way I write and approach research has been shaped (bless me!) by many incredible people. These individuals can be grouped into three categories: researchers, authors, and mentors. They’ve created websites, shared their struggles through blogs, published their work, and, from these varied sources, I’ve learned so much. Their journeys have inspired me in countless ways, and now, I feel it’s my turn to pay it forward. 😊

About Me

Born and raised in India, I wrote whenever I could—even after becoming a doctor. Writing was my savior during tough times, though it always remained just a hobby. Later, I moved to Australia to further my research and complete a PhD in Biomedical Sciences.

People often say, “You change after completing your PhD.” I certainly have. Suddenly (don’t ask me why!), I feel a strong urge to write more books and share my stories with the world. I’ve also discovered a deep passion for helping others develop their research and creative skills—something that has become one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.

I generally love Ahedi’s science fiction. She’s been a familiar author for me for a long time!

But something didn’t quite hit with this book.

The idea was very original. I’ve never read anything quite like it, and that’s a good thing. I don’t read a lot of incomparable scifi.

If I’m being honest, though, the originality is where the high notes top off. From the beginning, I wasn’t a huge fan of the MC. I know why Ahedi wrote her as absolutely boring and bored, but it didn’t make for an interesting beginning. And that’s undoubtedly the most important part. The book was also rife with mistakes, which is very unusual for Ahedi. Sentences that didn’t make sense, random spelling switch ups with names, continuity errors—it all added up quick. It’s still readable and understandable, which is why I’m still giving Pegasus a three star, but I expected more.

Overall, a semi-enjoyable read that I expect more from. Original, but a fell flat somewhere along the way.

Interesting, compelling story

Pegasus by H.G. Ahedi

I enjoyed this story. It was good in an odd sort of way. Felt like it was written by an Aspie*: somewhat dispassionate, dialog felt unnatural, characters were kind of wooden. The science was ludicrous. BUT the story was interesting and compelling. The scene building brought you into the story, created an image in your head.

Roslyn gets abducted from her dreary existence into an idyllic life aboard a giant spaceship filled with aliens from all over the universe. And run by the "Creators". Life couldn't be better. But is it real? Does that even matter?

Could have benefited from an editor. E.g.: "An older gentleman shared stories about her lost wife with her"; "stepped into a hall which was as big as a baseball court". Happy I read it though.

*This is not a criticism. I'm an Aspie. I'll read most any book written by, or about, an Aspie.

“Pegasus” by H. G. Ahedi, is a fascinating mix of mystery and science fiction! Roslyn Walsh, a resident of Trinity Bay, Canada, where several young women have disappeared. Roslyn is a bartender who dreams of being an artist. Roslyn’s friend Julia is the next woman to go missing.
But then Roslyn awakens in a different reality. She lives on a spaceship, Pegasus, and Julia is present along with many other people and beings from other worlds. The existence appears to be idyllic at first, until Roslyn notices that no one seems to live beyond the age of 35.
This is an exciting and compelling tale with shocking revelations and a twisty ending!

WOW!! Just WOW! Such a wonderful read...without giving away too much - I've truly enjoyed this book - there are many facets and intricacies in this book. There has been a lot of thought put into the development of the character and I've loved connecting with her on a personal level. We take things for granted in life - this book has made me reflect upon how I view the 'mundane' parts - to be grateful for friends, family and all we love!

The story of a lonely girl, Roslyn, living in a small town where girls have gone missing, and then, Roslyn begins living an alternate life in outer space amongst aliens, and mysteries start to unravel and be revealed. Entertaining and interesting science fiction.
