Esta serie me tiene súper enganchada.
Me gusta mucho el equilibrio que tiene entre el romance, el misterio y la acción.
Tiene ese toque de suspenso que te mantiene ahí queriendo saber más, que no paras de leer hasta que lo termina y eso se debe a la gran narrativa de las autoras.
Este cuarto libro es sobre Aiden Romanov miembro del sindicato y Pakhan de la Bratva en L.A. y Olivia una chica que está luchando por encontrar a su hermano y librarse de las manos de un monstruo.
Las vidas de ellos dos se cruzan sin saber que son la solución a las dudas y misterios que necesitan resolver.
Este libro me gustó mucho, en todo momento me tuvo con el alma en un hilo.
Me gustó el romance, sus protagonistas, fue lindo que encontraran su felicidad, bien merecido por todo lo que sufrieron.
El villano de esta historia es al que más he odiado y del que más he deseado su muerte, era un tipo asqueroso y despreciable.
Ahora sí deseando leer el libro de Eric

Aiden has only one goal in his life now. To find his son and avenge the death of his wife. His enemies made him think that they killed them both years ago but now he knows that his baby boy has been alive all this time. And there is nothing that was going to stop him from saving him.
Olivia has always been trapped in her own life. She was never given any choices and her whole life was dictated by others. That is until she finds a clue that her brother who was presumed to be dead might actually be alive this whole time. Now it's up to her to investigate that lead and find out more about her brother and what happened to him. If only her lead was not an Infuriating man named Aiden. He drives her crazy as much as he scares her. She knows that if he knew about her investigating him he would kill her. But there was no way to stop her now. She wasn't going to go away before finding her answers.
Aiden finally has a lead on his enemies after years. If only the pretty woman did not distract him from his mission. It is not until later that he knows that she might be much more connected to his case than what he had anticipated. And now it was up to him to decide whether to let her live or to help her with her motives and find his son on the way too.
Overall Opinion :
This author, damn I am so addicted! She had me hooked right from book 1 and I have not been able to shake off my addiction till now. Aiden and Olivia have an explosive tale that quickly became one of my favourites through this whole series! I Absolutely love it so much .
It was full of mystery and so much heat! A definite recommendation to all the dark mafia romance lovers out there. Aiden is one of the best anti heroes you will ever meet and I can't say that you will ever regret meeting him!

¿Nos van a dar un maldito descanso? Por supuesto, la respuesta es no. Cada libro es un final feliz para la pareja protagonista, pero aparece otro misterio que involucra a los protagonistas del siguiente libro. ¡Es fantástico y me encanta esta mierda! Estoy deseando empezar el siguiente libro.
A pesar de que me encuentro completamente sumergida en la historia, tanto de este libro como de toda la serie, en ocasiones se me hace un poco pesado leerlos. Eso en realidad no le resta puntos porque me siento dentro de la historia, pero siento que son un poco densos.

Her brother whom she believed to be dead is actually alive, but missing, she’s being blackmailed into marrying her abuser, and the only link to her brother is Aiden, a Pahkan in LA. She escapes her abuser to try to meet him, but when Aiden gets information that makes him believe she has information on his missing son, he kidnaps her.
What a wicked, woven web!! This story has so many twists and turns, it’ll make your head spin. The writing is excellent and the book is well paced. Action-packed from beginning to end, you’ll wholly become entangled in the traumatic lives of these two lovers searching for their missing loved ones. Adrien has been completely broken and thinks that he has no soul left. Despite this, he feels an inexplicable and unavoidable pull toward his captive, no matter how unfeeling he tries to be. As a lover he is intense, possessive, and has a need to take care of her that he can’t put aside. Olivia is just so resilient. She has been broken down so many times, but she refuses to give up. She never thought she was capable of the feelings she has for Aiden after her past abuse, and it's almost overwhelming. The chemistry between the two of them was undeniable from the first meeting and the smexy times had my kindle burning. This was actually the first Faith Summers book I’ve read and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I’m going to go back and read the first three books in the series. Merciless Hunter is the 4th book in the Dark Syndicate series, but I had no problem reading it as a standalone.

Measuring good writing vs a good story
I have followed this series from the beginning. The overarching mystery storyline has kept me engaged and I liked the premise of each book. Some of the books being better than others.
In this book we have the tortured Aiden, whose wife was murdered and his son kidnapped. Enter Olivia, aligned to the enemy through force, she approaches Aiden for information. This meeting sets in motion Olivia's forced confinement by Aiden with sparks flying between the unwilling two. More revelations follow the information Olivia brings to the syndicate. See, an engaging plot.
So why only 3 stars? (Which by the way means I still liked it!) The forced confinement of the heroines in the series is getting boring. The enemies to lovers trope is just too overdone by now. And, unfortunately, once these niggles started, I also got more irritated with long, run on sentences and a lack of clarity in the writing. These are things I can usually forgive in a first or second book or in a great story. Now it just hindered the true potential of the story.
The book is still readable and if you already invested in the series, you should not shy away from reading it.

Faith Summers does not disappoint. Can’t wait for #5 as the plot thickens and continues. Definitely recommend this series 100%.

I strongly suggest you read the first three books in the series to understand everyone involved and the development of the Syndicate (good guys) and the Order (bad guys).
Aiden Romanov, the Bratva Pakhan of the Voirik Brotherhood, is a member of the Syndicate along with Massimo, Dominic, and Tristan D’Agostino (books 1-3). A former enforcer for the Order, his wife and 1 month old son were killed in a house fire 9 years ago. The Order, a secret society of terrorists who do dirty work for corrupt governments and politicians, has been in this series since the beginning. We learned in the last book that Aiden’s son, Aleksei, is alive after all.
Olivia Markov comes to Aiden for help to find her brother Eric, an everything engineer, computer and hacker genius. Everyone thought he died in a car accident, but Jude Kuzmin, the bad guy in this book, staged Eric’s death and is holding him captive. Jude has spent the past five years physically and mentally abusing Olivia. He’s forcing her to marry him in a few months on her birthday when she inherits the family company, Markov Tech, a weapon and cyber technology company. Jude is a powerful Russian businessman and a monster who’s been obsessed and preying on Olivia since she was 10 years old.
I liked how there are so many connections between everyone.
Olivia’s father was Phillipe Falcione and was having a 12 year affair with Olivia’s mother. Through an arranged marriage he was married to Persephone Falcione and she was the one with the money. Phillipe was killed in the Syndicate bombing that also killed the D’Agostino brothers’ father and Aiden’s father in book 1.
I hope there’s a future book for Maksim, Aiden’s cousin and right hand. Another day s the last introduction of Alejandro Ramirez, a cartel king in Brazil. Massimo has been trying to get him to join the Syndicate and was a friend of his father.
The next book appears to be about Eric. We now know he was the one writing the letters

I loved loved loved this one. The couple's chemistry. The angst. The tension.
The magnetism between them was so intense it was throwing both of them off the cliff.
The deadly attraction that was ... not to be.
Aiden was such a strong character; ruthless, ever suspicious, meticulous and without a doubt; so tall, handsome and sexy.
He's an a**hole who kidnapped Olivia and mentally tortured her despite knowing she was telling him the truth. He was keeping her to get leverage to Jude.
He’s an enigma, and she’s a fallen angel. She became unhinged with the mere of his touch. Olivia was a shell of her former shelf. She was raped brutally when she was younger by a lecherous man.
Told from a first person POV by both hero and heroine, the story was a safe read. No cheatings. No threesomes. No BDSM. BUT there was rape.
This one was interesting all through the end, unlike the previous stories (where once the couple reunited, the readers knew how the end would pan – no longer keeping us on edge).
This one kept us guessing all through the end. All those mysteries, all the questions ... were explored.
So good!

I was first introduced to Faith Summers with Tease Me which is a mafia romance that is part of another series, so I jumped at the chance to read another of her books and it did not disappoint.
The book starts out with an unforgettable and devastating fire that destroys Aiden Romanov’s life and turns him into a ruthless killer on a mission determined to find out who murdered his family and which one of his men betrayed him.
Olivia Markov is desperate to find her brother she had originally thought dead for the last five years. However, she and her wheelchair-bound mother are being held captive by an evil and twisted man, Jude Kuzmin, who she knows is responsible for her brother’s disappearance and is determined to marry her to get control of her father’s company. With no choice, she hatches a plan to get help from the very dangerous Aiden Romanov, Bratva Pakhan (boss) of the L.A. Brotherhood, part of the new Syndicate, and former enforcer of the Order. Little did she know she was stepping into a minefield of betrayal, fear, and possession of yet another man set on taking what he wants with no remorse. But it’s different with Aiden. She is surprised that she wants him as much as he wants her, but her family comes first and she will do anything to find her brother.
Aiden Romanov has lost everything and has nothing to lose. When the beautiful Olivia shows up at his club to manipulate him into helping her, he is angry and intrigued. When her story starts to intertwine with his mission for revenge, he plans to use her as leverage to get what he wants. But his need for her is distracting and must be second to finding the one person he has sacrificed everything for.
Olivia and Aiden’s stories are tragic and heartbreaking. It’s understandable they find it hard to trust anyone. Olivia’s story is very sad as she is an illegitimate child of a powerful man who didn’t recognize her as his, and she is a woman with no freedoms who is destined to marry a disgusting man who treats her like an animal no one wants. When she meets Aiden she thinks it will be the same until their passion turns into something that fills the hole in their lives. Aiden feels the shame and responsibility of his family’s death and has no time for anything else. Until he meets Olivia. He becomes possessive and protective of her as her story is revealed. She is his new addiction, but his conflicting emotions say she cannot stay with him because it’s too dangerous. It’s a long road, but they do have a HEA.
I recommend this fast-paced, action-packed, and unpredictable dark mafia romance to those who love intrigue and powerful characters.

Merciless Hunter by Faith Summers is book 4 in the Dark Syndicated Series.
This is the story of Olivia and Aiden. I have read the previous books which did add to my enjoyment of this one but I do think you can make it a standalone book if you wish to do so. Aiden lost his wife and baby son in a fire due to retaliation in the mafia wars. Now he is out seeking revenge and just for that lost. Olivia has fallen into his path for that vengeance. Olivia is just trying to survive after her father's death and with her mom paralyzed in a crash. Olivia does have a brother but the evil Jude Kuzmin is declaring him dead so he can take over their mafia family. In addition to all that, Jude has wrote up contracts to set in motion Olivia becoming his wife and he 'owns' her. Olivia and Aiden have a rocky start and not a smooth path. This book and this series have been nothing short of page turning. Will be looking for more from this author.

There are a LOT of details to take in, but after about halfway the story really starts moving and getting interesting. The twists and turns are interesting, and amidst all the violence, there are some real raw emotional exchanges, not just with the main characters, but the side ones as well.

Knowing that her only hope is Aiden, she goes in search of him for his help and it leads to more than either one ever thought. You could feel the intense chemistry Aiden & Olivia had from the first meeting and it only keep getting hotter!! The journey they go through was not only action packed but scary as heck!!! Be prepared for this ride that will have you holding on for your dear life!

I just loved Aiden's story so much! His story was full of so much heartache, violence and secrets! I loved how the overall story fed on from the previous three books, how Aiden was dealing with the same enemy that Triston, Massimo and Dominic have had to deal with! Aiden is what i would call a proper anti-hero, he is not a good guy yet you can tell deep down he wants to be, its just his previous heartache that has made him the man he is now! His relationship with Olivia was unexpected, i loved the push and pull between these two and all the little twists and turns in the story before they finally got their HEA!!
Another great Mafia story from this author.....i cant wait to read more!!

Siento que tardé como mil años leyendo este libro, pero no fue en absoluto culpa de él, así que tardé un poquito en engancharme, pero cuando lo hice, me fui como gorda en tobogán 🤣. Creo que este es, de toda la serie, el que tiene una trama mejor desarrollada, hubieron muchos momentos en los que mi cabeza estaba revuelta y sospechaba hasta de la del servicio 😅. Tengo sentimientos encontrados tanto por Aiden como por Olivia, ambos son personajes que sufrieron mucho y como lector sufres también con ellos 🥺. En resumidas cuentas, me gustó, tal vez lo que me quedó a deber un poco fue el spicy, que siento que a comparación de otros libros, fue menos, o por lo menos así lo sentí, pero sin duda alguna, es el que tiene mayor suspenso y drama de toda la serie.

I skipped over some pages.
Why? It's repetitive and redundant! I cringed at some lines. Why? So many grammatical errors (Imagine that kind of observation coming from an ESL).
What's up with the female protagonist in these stories. They seemed so weak, stupid, and pathetic. It's like they can't do anything good or right without their knight in shining armour. What message this author is trying to convey in her book? Women are not brave without a man by their side? And not to mention how the author doesn't know the difference between love and lust. What I see in this story is that every problems they have ended with sex.. sex.. and sex.. there was never a time that they would sit and just talk or do fun/meaningful activities that would exclude sex.. 😂. Oh and don't Forget to mention GABRIELA, the dead wife. Remember to mention her in every page to the point that I even thought she's still alive. She should just ressurect from the death and take over. I feel like I've read more about her than Olivia. I know the author was trying to keep her memory alive in a sense, but it becomes irritating to read more about her than the actual female main character.
I was planning to read the next series, but I'm done. I Didn't even get to finish this one.
I know it's just not my type of book.
If anyone is looking for a book about a damsel in distressed and resucued by a big bad mafia boss, this book is for you.
If you're looking for a realistic, dark romance, with plot twists, unpredictble plot, and an amazing female main character, this book definitely NOT for you.

Olivia and Aiden’s story has hooked me from the beginning.
Aiden loses his wife and his newborn son to a fire set in his house by an organization called The Order, for which he has worked. But after a failed mission, those deaths are the price to pay. As a result of that Aiden enters a self-destructive path until he discovers that his son could be still alive, that gives him the strength to move forward.
Olivia lives in hell bc of Jude, a man who is 20 years older than her, who has been obsessed with her since she was 10 years old and who was been abusing her for a long time, and if nothing prevents it, he will become her husband. Jude went to work in Olivia’s family company with the excise of helping, but little by little, he has taken control and Olivia and her mother live constantly watched and in fear.
Olivia overhears a conversation that she shouldn’t in which she hears Jude say that her brother Eric is alive. She thought that her brother was dead years ago, but now everything changes. Why would Jude have faked Eric’s death?
Investigating she gets a name that can give her answers and that name is Aiden, so she devises a plan to go to LA and find out what he knows, even if it’s dangerous, since Aiden is the Pahkan.
The chemistry between Olivia and Aiden is off the charts, and although both distrust each other, they cannot help but feel a strong attraction, which will lead them to fall in love, despite the fact that their love story has its days numbered.
Lots of action and passion, just the way I like.
Her lips part like they’re calling me back to them, so I kiss her again, and that’s when I feel it. It’s a tenderness that fractures the thick walls I’ve placed up in my mind and my cold black heart. The magnetism is so intense and powerful it does something to me that only one person has managed to successfully achieve. It tames me. Her kiss tames the inner beast inside me that’s always on the alert and ready to kill. Her touch and her kiss pacify the chaos perpetually ravaging through me, and she feels like a solace, a respite for my tired, dark soul to sink into. The realization snaps me out of the reverie when I think of the last woman I tempted in such a way. It was the only woman, until this one. And that’s why she’s dangerous to me. No one has been able to reach me with one touch the way she has, and it’s something I don’t want to feel. I never want that weakness ever again. And I don’t want to feel anything for a woman I don’t trust.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire
Merciless Hunter (Dark Syndicate Book 4) by Faith Summers is a detailed dark mafia storyline with forced captivity romance. Just like Beauty finds something redeeming in Beast, so does Olivia with Aiden, although he does not make that easy. He's a Bratva leader with Beast tendencies that only calm and settle with Olivia.
Olivia seeks Aiden out and is overcome by the unexpected attraction she felt toward him. Having been abused for several years, it is disconcerting and outright terrifying to her. She thinks she’s been broken, but really she is so much stronger than she gives herself credit for. The confusion and terror in the moments after each steamy encounter leaves Aiden reeling, this pull of attraction makes it difficult to keep his distance despite not knowing Olivia or her true motivations. He uses his distrust to hide his feelings and protects his heart behind his cold, merciless Bratva leader façade.
While the plot of Olivia seeking information about her brother appears separate from Aiden's plot of finding his stolen son, they soon intertwine as much as these characters themselves do. It's fitting and fantastic as each subplot evolves revealing truths and danger and evil treachery. The antagonist is much greater than just one person (although the most prevalent one is beyond despicable, deplorable, a seriously evil bastard). As each book in the series has come up against The Order, each hero has fought valiantly while poor Aiden is yet again a target without knowing it.
Overall, Olivia and Aiden’s story begins with captivity, shifts into forced proximity, then morphs into lovers in denial. Through the inevitable heartbreak, both receive words of wisdom giving them a reason for patience and perspective. Realizing that keeping them apart is allowing fear to rule his life, Aiden finally allows himself to have Olivia and love and a family again. Their reunion is sweet, heartfelt and meant for a HEA of a lifetime.

The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so rich and lively it feels as though you're part of the story instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. This is the 4th story in Dark Syndicate Series. We have meet Aiden in the previous stories as he is the Pakhan of the Russian Bratva in Los Angles and the crime world continues. Aiden lost his wife and young child 9 years ago and recently found evidence that his son is alive. Olivia has lost her brother and under the thumb of Jude from the Syndicate who is mean and down right nasty man and forced fiancé who enjoys hurting those he says he loves. Olivia’s life was turned upside down when her grandfather passes and her brother dies and Jude takes over their family business and her life. When she finds out Eric is alive, Olivia goes searching for help. When Olivia goes to Aiden’s sex club and gets his attention there is an unspoken attraction between them and when Aiden finds evidence that Olivia is more than just a beautiful woman he takes her as his to determine what threat she brings his way. When Olivia is questioned Aiden finds some proof of her story and decides to keep her as his and he continues to search for his son and along the way the whereabouts of where his son is hidden comes to light so they go after him and discover many dark secrets and Eric who is fighting against them. Once they get word to Eric they are there to get him out do the tides turn and Aiden and his friends get a real chance to bring down Jude and those that work for him. Aiden never thought he would have feelings of love for another woman as Olivia brought back life to his heart and he knows the risk his way of life brings so when realizes it he sets Olivia free and tries to move on with his life. I loved this story of Olivia and Aiden. They are both looking for family and answers and when they come together, they can be so much more powerful than separate. With the help of the Syndicate and the D’Agostino’s, Aiden will keep hunting and searching for the one remaining part of his marriage to Gabriella. However, is he ready for the twists and turns that he will have to go through get the answers he seeks? This was an emotional roller coaster of a read. The torment and anguish of Aiden and Olivia’s lives along with the twisted parts others played in their lives is harsh. I loved the characters and the story in Merciless Hunter and look forward to hopefully more of these characters. I give the book a 5-star review.

I’m so happy with this series! I was super bummed after the last book because the D’Agostino brothers all had their stories and I didn’t know how Summers was going to add on to this series but I was super happy with this new addition. It continues with the thrilling and suspenseful dark mafia romance and it brings in a fresh feel with Aiden Romanov and the Russian Bratva. His story starts off with a heartbreaking and tragic opening that only leads to him being a cold-hearted killer. Olivia Markov is on the search for her missing brother and Aiden’s ties to his former life are what brings her into his L.A. club, the Dark Odyssey. But the instant attraction sets them on a spicy path of revealing deep secrets and unknown past connections.
I really enjoyed this new side to the Dark Syndicate series. The Russian Bratva and the Italian mafia working together against something as dark as the Order, the Syndicate is on the right side of wrong. The Order is as dark and disgusting as you can imagine and you can’t help but cheer on Aiden and the Syndicate. Olivia and Aiden have been to hell and back. They’ve both been through so much and they’re just so damaged that it was nice to see them pick up their broken pieces and put themselves back together as they uncover everything. The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!

Aiden is a dangerous man but knows how to love, but he kills the same way he loves hard! The chemistry was instant and intense the magnetic pull can’t be ignored even though she is his prisoner. But we have two broken people who have been hurt by the hands of others and being together leads them to healing each other. Can they work together to take down who took his wife and son, will they find happiness with so much hurt and trauma?

Fed up! As usual, editing is atrocious! 🤬😡🤬😡This author is known for the sloppy states she sends her books out in and I’m fed up! I am reading an arc and mistakes are expected but this is beyond the pale, plus they are rarely fixed. Ive read several books from this author and complained but she does nothing about it. I can think of one book I found over 50 😡 I posted the edits and after buying the book still not seen the edits fixed. I suggest reporting through Amazon might be the only way to get this author to edit as the issue remains no matter what name she writes under. I’m done. I’ve enjoyed her stories, but it is so disrespectful to her readers to send out her books in such sloppy shape. Reading her books is a frustrating experience and one I don’t need to pay for.

June 14, 2021So I am pretty sure this is the first book I have read by Faith Summers and I gotta say that now I am intrigued with this series. So I will be going back to read the first three soon. We have the Merciless Hunter, and I gotta say I did not expect the story I read. I was intrigued from the beginning. The twist that kept coming had my head spinning. So we have Aiden that has changed so much due to his loss. However we find out some interesting news about the past. We have Olivia who is a sweet girl who has not had it easy and is fighting to save what is left of her family. She is suppose to marry a dirt bag and let me say I do not like him at all. She happens to hear some information about her family and is trying to figure out who can help her. She hears about Aiden and then formulates a plan. Only we did not expect their to be sparks right off the bat from both her and Aiden. That is until the tides turn and he kidnaps her. Hmm, how is this going to go given that they both feel something for each other. Can they both help each other out to accomplish what is needed. Will Aiden trust her? It gets intense and crazy good. The way the mystery unfolds and who was all involved. We find out so much and my heart went out to both of them. I wanted them to find comfort in each other and at times it does happen but will they act further on their relationship. I can say that we get a happily ever after and I cannot wait to see what will happen next in this series.

After receiving news that his son is still alive after nine years of believing that both his son and wife perished in a fire, Aiden sets out to discover - with the aid of the other members of The Syndicate - where his son is after all this time. Meanwhile, in San Francisco, Olivia is being forced to marry Jude Kuzmin (might have spelled that wrong or got it wrong altogether) since she is next in line to inherit her family's tech company, and Jude, being a gigantic dip, wants both the company and the beautiful Olivia as his own. Olivia has overheard a conversation between Jude and someone he was speaking with over the phone, though, indicating that her brother (who they thought died in a car crash with his best friend Robert) is still very much alive, that someone staged his death. Under the guise of picking out a wedding dress, Olivia goes to L.A. with Aiden's name and photograph (he was connected to The Order as an enforcer) as the only real source of how to locate her brother who was also part of this mysterious Order. Their coming together unravels more of the mystery surrounding The Syndicate and of The Order, who wants to take The Syndicate down and use their wealth and resources to their own means.
The spice is excellent.
The action is excellent.
The characterization is so much better compared to the last installment.
