Bastian, Gwena, and Felix couldn’t be cast farther apart. Despite the friends’ separation, the threads of destiny bind them tightly together. The question is, can they endure their own perilous paths long enough to reunite?
K. L. Harris is the award-winning author of the fantasy adventure series, Archives of the Night-Watchers, the picture book, The World is Full of A**holes, and the founder and managing director of Make-Believe Press.
As an author, Harris has received two BRAG Medallions, A Silver IPPY Award, and an honorable mention of the Eric Hoffer Award.
Raised in Northern California, Harris began her creative journey in theater before training in film acting with the New York Film Academy in Italy, and later with Charles Sturt University in Australia, where she earned her B.A. in Acting for Screen and Stage.
In 2019 Harris founded Make-Believe Press and released her debut novel, Equillian’s Key, the first book in Archives of the Night-Watchers series. She now lives in Western Australia with her husband and two children, continuing to bring new worlds and characters to life through the best stories she can imagine.
The second book in the Archives of the Night Watchers is everything I hoped for and more. I can’t decide which is my favorite storyline. They are all so well developed and engrossing, while reading them I am all in on each one. I love that they are so different and each tell not only their own tale, but the story of a different part of their world. Harris is definitely a world building extraordinaire! This book is long, but I miss them all already! I can’t wait to see what becomes of them and Equillian, hopefully the next book won’t take so long!
I never wanted to put it down! It's wonderfully written, and all of the story lines are engaging and entertaining. I found myself completely absorbed into the world of Equillian and it's characters, and never wanted to leave. I can't wait to see where the story goes from here!
I don't put stars on my reviews, which is a little ironic with this title.
Things to know: 1. This is the second book in a series. Read Equillian's Key before starting this one. 2. Though it has a lot of pages, the action moves right along, so it never feels like a slog.
Great characters and world building. Cities in the sky, pirates wielding magic, a little romance, a lot of adventure, dragons, interdimensional intrigue. Great fun.
