This book was part of a Lenten study and presented several great ideas for discussion. It definitely helped many in the group better understand how they turn a blind eye to things or throw up their hands thinking there is nothing to do. The chapters were short and quick to read and digest. My low review is for the writing itself. It seemed scattered. Many times it jumps from one topic to the next and isn’t very fluid. It also seemed to be light on ideas for what you can do when you’re ready to act.
This book served as a useful way to discuss contemporary issues. A group of adults used it to stimulate thought and discussion. The last chapter on friends and community was one of the better sections.
