I’ve been a tea drinker since I was a child. The options were either regular black tea or Chinese tea with two spoonsful of sugar.. In the 1960s, I discovered Bigelow’s Constant Comment and that became the doorway to many new tea experiences and no longer add sugar.
Since then, varieties of tea and tisanes have come onto the market. I have often discovered one only to find it is no longer available.
Until I read EASY TEA RECIPES, I never considered making my own blends. Now, I can’t wait to begin experimenting. The book contains twenty six recipes for hot tea, iced tea, Chai, and tisanes. They are easy-to-follow with easy-to-find ingredients and begin with a basic tea. To that, add a mixture of spices, juices, herbs, honey, sweetener, fruit, and/or petals.
Since many specialty teas list their ingredients, I look forward to trying to duplicate some of my favorites.
The book opens with a brief history of tea and discussion of some of the benefits of tea. In addition, readers are invited to sign up for future free e-books.
For people who like tea, utilizing the ideas in EASY TEA RECIPES can add to the experience. For those who don’t, it might encourage them to try again.

Not quite what I expected

First off - the price was right for this book; it was free. Secondly, you get what you pay for. I was hoping for recipes that would render tea-based home remedies for common health issues, but that is not what the book delivers. Some of the recipes sound interesting, but I rather doubt I will try any as many of the flavors described are already commercially available in individual tea bags - much simpler to just add water. My secondary hope was for this book to have recipes for herbal tea blends that one could make at home with garden grown or foraged wild edibles, but again, not the case here. Overall, the book was not enjoyable, but it was a bit on the disappointing side of the spectrum, since it did not.meet expectations.
