The first two installments were hot...the other two were still hot but the Simon and Kat annoyed me with their cat-and-mouse game.

I really enjoyed Karin Tabke's Blood Moon Rising Trilogy, so I was stoked to run across this book as a freebie on Amazon. I remembered from my prior reads that she did the smut pretty well. However I have to say that, for a book outside of the new adult arena, The Chronicles of Katrina was absolutely dripping with angst. I was choking on it the whole day. As I was reading this when I was a bit under the weather, my angst tolerance was on the lower end of the spectrum.

So our heroine is Dr. Katrina Winslow, a molecular geneticist with an IQ of 175. She is also apparently a little sexpot, but she hides it under the guise of being "professional" because science and sexpots don't go together in our society. Isn't that a shame? Anywho, I really liked the idea of this heroine. Being a bit of a smartypants myself, I can totally dig a heroine who can walk and chew gum at the same time. Well maybe not, our girl was sort of a klutz. But so am I, so its all good. If we can't walk and chew gum at the same time, at least we have big brains and boobs to match. I felt bad for Kat and her history of failed relationships... for about an hour. Then her insecurities started grated on my last nerve. She was so over the top insecure that I think my eyes rolled right out of my head. Things you should never ask your man because you will never be happy with the answer:
1. Whether he liked having sex with his ex.
2. What do you see in me?
3. What will happen to me if someone better comes along (for him)?
4. How many women did you sleep with before me?
So for all of her intelligence and good looks, Kat went downhill for me after about the 30% mark of this book.

Now, our sexy hero on the other hand, stayed strong and true for most of the story. Simon West is a captain with the sheriff's department and is a true man's man. He is not a Dominant in the traditional sense, but he has no problem taking control of Kat's body and pleasure. He has a couple of skeletons in his closet, but nothing over the top that couldn't be dealt with. I give him huge props for his ability to deal with Kat's insecurities without telling her to grow a backbone and leave him alone. I would have been seriously tempted. I would have liked to see more of him as a law enforcement officer, we heard more about his job than we actually saw him working. But overall he was a solid hero for your romantic fantasies.

There were some things that I really liked about the story - namely the corporate espionage plot. I liked mystery/suspense of that aspect. I found myself wanting to rush through some of the sex to get back to the plot conflict. As I said at the beginning, Tabke writes smut really well so her sexytimes are on point. A good amount of detail, build up, and steam in all the encounters. Though there were A LOT of them - I think a couple could have been sacrificed to build up the espionage aspect which remained on the fringes of the story.

There were also a couple things that didn't match up for me. Simon is supposed to be working undercover, but the whole task force is identified as a group of cops at the resort at the beginning of the book. This blows the undercover role. And finally, the corporate espionage and biological warfare conspiracy is not really an investigation that would be spearheaded by a state/local law enforcement agency. It would have been more believable if this task force was made up of CIA, DHS, FBI, DOJ, etc.

I did enjoy the story - but a few times it felt like work trying to deal with Kat's self-esteem issues. I am really looking forward to the rest of the series, just with less angst and insecurity. This book was free on Amazon as of Dec. 31, 2015. 3 stars / 5 flames.

The Chronicles of Katrina was originally a four-part series, now reissued into one convenient book. It follows the sexual awakening of Dr. Katrina Winslow, a genius research scientist and the mysterious, green-eyed cop, Simon West. A game of Truth or Dare with her current boyfriend, Evan, brings the three of them to her hotel room for a night to remember. Or forget. Except she gets much more than she bargained for. She begins her downward spiral when she learns the truth about Evan and her status as a renowned scientist is put in jeopardy. Add to that, the relentless, unwanted pursuit by Simon, a man she can't get out of her head. The more he pursues her, the more she tries to push him away knowing he is just one more man who will break her heart. Simon is a man who knows what he wants and he wants Kat. As he tries to gain her trust and ultimately her love, he is duty-bound to keep vital secrets from her. Deep within her, Kat knows he is loyal and trustworthy, but what seems obvious casts doubt and makes her want to run. She wants his love and for him to belong to only her, but can she handle the truth?

Although this is a hot, steamy, sexy story that follows Katrina's transformation into a strong, sensual woman willing to fight for her man, I guarantee you fall in love with Simon. You will want to read it again and again.

What do you get when you put a sex-on-a-stick, green-eyed cop and a sexy, little lab bunny together? A HOT AS ALL HELL story that is sure to burn the eyebrows off your face as you read it.

Simon West is the enigmatic stranger that scientist Katrina Winslow literally stumbles upon one night and from that moment on, sparks fly and tensions rise between them. That encounter leaves them both breathless and panting for more (and I was panting right there with them)

Katrina, her boyfriend Evan, and Simon, embark on a game of lust, love, and deception that gives each of them more than they bargained for. Her downward spiral begins when she learns of Evan’s lies and her career and reputation are put on the line. Simon’s pursuit of her only adds to her already jumbled life, making her realize he is the one man she will never be able to get out of her system. Simon is a man determined to always get what he wants and now, he wants Katrina. Secrets and other outside forces threaten to destroy any type of relationship possible between them, but they work to prevent that from happening. There were times when I wanted to slap the hell out of Katrina, but overall, I understood the why of her insecurities and the reason behind some of her actions and decisions.

The story is excellent and the characters are written in such a way that you automatically submerge yourself in their journey. The writing style is smooth and the flow is easy to follow, allowing you to live there with each character and ride the rollercoaster of emotions they are on.

The chemistry between Simon and Katrina is off the charts. There is one shower scene that will definitely require a change of panties ;-)

The Chronicles of Katrina is one story that should be on everyone’s reading list. I am now not-so-patiently waiting for Karin’s next series, Bad Boys of the Bay, which kicks off with Simon’s buddy, Special Agent Jack Thornton.

Amount of Sex - 4/5
How explicit - 3/5
Fetish - 1/5
Romance - 4/5
Hi I’m guest reviewer JM. Most of my choices in reading come from The Erotic Book Finder here (even before she started a blog). This time I ventured out on my own, because the book was FREE (yes, I really like free).
Dr. Katrina (Katy) Winslow is a well respected genetic scientist. While at a conference to present her break-through research with her boyfriend and fellow scientist, Evan, he dares her to bring another man into their bed for the night. Katy agrees and meets the sexy stranger, Simon. This one night brings Katy’s world to a halt with betrayal, sex, and excitement. She tries to figure out if she can shed her interior monologue of what is ok sexually to invite this exciting stranger into her life.
Simon West is the introduction to the Bad Boys of the Bay series. Towards the end of the book, we meet more of Simon’s crew of hot cop guys. Simon is sexy, hot, and a little bit complicated. He is happy to introduce Katy into his slightly dominating sex play.
This book is pretty sexy with a little bit of dominance. No fetish except light restrains. The middle sags slightly in the sex department, but the beginning starts off red hot with great descriptions. While this is part of series, it doesn’t leave you hanging at the end. It just leaves your appetite a little tantalized to hear more about the rest of the San Francisco Bay Area Bad Boys. I haven’t read the rest of the series yet, but it is on my list.

I wish I could give it more but the heroine was just unacceptable. I mean she was a scientist and a doctor no less. And I get that they can be naïve (won't be the last time I mention that), but she was just unbearable. Imagine, you meet a cop and you find out he is married but promises you he is not married but can't talk about it at the moment because it will jeopardize his job and her safety. Wouldn't you come to the conclusion that he might work undercover? I mean seriously what's wrong with smart heroines who are not naïve and clingy (even though they say at least 10 times they will never make this mistake again) and want to know the deepest and darkest secrets within a couple days of knowing this guy.
He on the other hand was one of the reasons I finished the book. The other reason was that the story was good.
Bottom line if you can live with a ridiculous naïve, clingy and my-thoughts-and-actions-make-no-sense heroine, this story is good.

This is a 3 star read for me. The story is told from the heroine's POV. This is a series of four novellas that complete this story. Although the plot was interesting, I really wanted to rate this higher but I have to say that the heroine completely annoyed me for most of the series. I can understand her hurt and being untrusting of the men in her life but she was just so flakey that I couldn't enjoy her character. The hero was sexy although very mysterious for most of the story and there was a lot of cat and mouse going on. One thing I can say is that this author can write some seriously hot sex scenes! I just wish the heroine wasn't so annoying.

Powerfully Sensual & Complex

If you have yet to experience the awesomeness that is Karin Tabke, you are missing out on one helluva ride. I fell in love with her voice and style when I stumbled on her very hot little novella, Bad To The Bone, and just had to have more. Fast-paced, smooth-as-silk writing. Jaw dropping, heart pounding, panty melting scenes. Gorgeous, badass cops dedicated to bringing down criminals even if it means stretching the limits of the law. You can also count on there being a woman involved somehow, someway who ultimately brings that bad boy to his knees even though he has, up until now, been a player. Thus leading to shenanigans of the aforementioned jaw-dropping, panty melting variety. Bad Boys of the Bay is a well thought out, written to perfection series. The twists and turns, secrets and lies, and more than a few OMG moments will keep you absolutely riveted. I can’t tell you how many times I thought I’d figured out where things were headed only to be thwarted again! Ms. Tabke is goooood, people. Very, very good.

The Chronicles of Katrina, Book One in the Bad Boys of the Bay series, begins with a scene so hot you’ll be primed from the get-go. This is one of the things I love about Ms. Tabke; her books always begin with a bang (pun intended), luring you in. Mind you, these aren’t gratuitous sex scenes, which I hate, btw. They are totally relevant and act as the catalyst for the story that follows. A story I absolutely loved. But it’s Katrina and Simon who stole my heart. These two are meant for each other. Granted, their road to this revelation is fraught with uncertainty, stubbornness, and a lot of pissing each other off. It’s such a fun ride!

When Dr. Katrina Winslow accepts a dare from boyfriend/co-worker Evan Scott, she never expects it to unleash a Pandora’s box of lies, deceit, mystery, and danger. As far as Kat is concerned, accepting Evan’s dare she invite a stranger up to their hotel room for an evening of naughty fun may be way out of her comfort zone, but it’s also a fantasy come true. Especially after running smack into a gorgeous, green-eyed cop in front of the hotel elevator that morning. Impossible as it may seem, his mere touch lit her libido like a firecracker. Which is more than she can say for Evan, who has yet to gift her with an orgasm. Kat blames herself. Her single-minded focus for years has been scientific research. She’s one of the most brilliant genetic scientists in the country, if not the world. She’s also a self-professed nerd, and she has no confidence in her looks. Hiding behind lab coats and librarian glasses, the only hint of the vixen longing to be unleashed are five inch, peep-toe Louboutin’s she routinely wears with her pencil skirts and blouses. Later that evening, after Evan drops the dare bomb, Kat spies green eyes in the hotel bar sitting with a group of other cops. What the hell does she have to lose, right? They were at an out-of-town hotel. Who would ever find out? Besides, he’ll most likely turn her down. She certainly never saw the freight train that is Captain Simon West coming down the track straight at her until it’s too late.

Simon doesn’t miss a detail. The beauty who plowed into him earlier that day, unleashing an armload of papers as well as a deliciously sexy blush is approaching his table. He’s intrigued. She’s not the usual type of woman who takes one look at him and goes in for the kill. But he’s not fooled by the conservative clothes and librarian style eyeglasses. Those sexy as sin stilettos are a sure sign this curvy woman is much more than meets the eye. When she bold as you please, thanks to a few drinks approaches him with a shocking proposal, no way in hell is he going to turn her down. He wants a taste of Katrina Winslow, boyfriend or not. Besides, Simon figures he can get Kat to kick the boyfriend to the curb once she experiences what he has to offer. Thanks to the shocking news Evan reveals to Kat the next morning, she indeed kicks him to the curb. The way is clear for Simon to make his move. And boy, does he have moves! Against his better judgment, Simon pursues Kat. Relentlessly. All the while knowing he has no business falling for her or doing everything in his power to make her fall for him. There are too many secrets he can’t reveal. If she finds out the half of what he’s done or what he’s up to now it will not only devastate her, it just may get her killed.

I loved Simon and how he struggles with his feelings for Kat versus the secrets he must keep from her. He’s so torn! What they had together…

It was more than sex, it was an offering of body and soul by two people who acknowledged that they were emotionally connected.

Simon has never felt so strongly for a woman. But he needs Kat safe until this case is solved. It involves Kat in more ways than she understands, and the players aren’t nice guys. If he doesn’t keep her out of it, no matter how much it kills him to push her away, he may lose her forever.

Initially, Kat reverts to old feelings of inadequacy as Simon barges into her life only to retreat time and again. However, Kat is sick and tired of being used and thrown away, sick of feeling like she’s not worthy. Especially now that Evan has caused her to be unjustly fired from the job she loves. How dare he! When Kat steps up and confronts Simon, demanding to know what secrets he’s keeping from her, she is a force to be reckoned with. She’s bared her soul to him and expects him to do the same. I was so happy to see Kat on the warpath.

She poked him in the chest with her index finger. “Where is that hot captain who relentlessly pursued me until I gave in?”

“He’s wondering if he should have left you alone.”

“Oh, no you don’t. I know you’re hurting, Simon. I know you feel like you screwed up, but you didn’t. You forced me to talk about my issues, and stood by me when I did, now I’m turning the tables. Let me do the same for you. Trust me like I trusted you. Tell me everything, Captain West. Tell me now before I beat it out of you.”

A spark lit his eyes. “I’d like to see you try.”

The Chronicles of Katrina is an absolute winner. It’s a stellar suspense with lots of surprising twists, as well as a steamy love story. Not only can Ms. Tabke write the hell out of a sex scene, she’s a master at conveying the sexual chemistry between Simon and Kat. There is so much to this story it’s impossible to explain without revealing too much. Therefore, let me just say…Go forth and buy this book!

Hot Dang!

First-Expect to be thrown down to be hot and bothered within the first few pages.
If you're not into explicit sex scenes this book or author are not for you.

Second-I loved Karin Tabke's "Hot Cop" Series. That series has taken a back seat to the Chronicles of Katrina...this series now holds the LOVED title.

Karin Tabke wastes NO time getting to the writing she is known for...

The hot sex is a great read and is as smooth as silk sheets but aside from that, the dialog/story in itself is a gem. Simon and Katy's banter will bring multiple smiles to your face along them calling each other out on their bullshit.

Simon's alpha personality radiates through out this book and Kat doesn't mind a bit. It's always a beautiful image of an alpha being brought to his knees and become genuinely caring and protective. When the words "baby" or "sweetheart" come from his lips it isn't just a typical "hey baby" but pure genuine emotion behind those words.

The Chronicles of Katrina has taken the whole damn cake! I'm obsessed with Kat and Simon's relationship! As I read this book I felt like I was there, emotionally connected, and on a personal level-relatively relatable. (I had to read it back to back because I raced through it the first time because I HAD to know everything ASAP. Casually reading through it the second time, didn't disappoint.) I rarely read a book twice, this is the 2nd book I've read multiple times and this won't be my last either! If I had a paper copy...it would be known that it is a repeated favorite over time.

This needs a warning lable for those readers who are not fond of sexual encounters in the story because this one is "eyes wide open" with a lot of very explicit sex. Putting that aside, because the sex is written well when it aligns with you, I found the struggle of Katrina's mental attitude is torn apart by her physical desires. I liked the underlying storyline though it took a back seat to the sex it was easy to follow. I enjoyed the characters and the story...

📚 Reread from 2015. Back then I read the 4 short stories that are now this full book.

I still love Simon.
The story was well-written and pretty steamy, although the conclusion was lacking and a few questions remained unanswered.
And Katrina was just... meh. Was she this annoying and unsure back then? 🤔
I can't remember, I only know that this book was one of my favorites of 2015.

In 2023 it's 3.5 stars

I found out about the Chronicles of Katrina, by Karin Tabke, through a random Twitter post and, though I had dozens upon dozens of books on my “to read” list, something about this one screamed out “BUY ME!” Not one to ignore the cry of a book or my credit card, Katrina and company were quickly taking up bytes on my Kindle.

And I’m so glad I caved, because I can't remember the last time I lunged head-first into a book and came up laughing and crying and hot and bothered all at once. I fell in love with Simon immediately and not just because he's smoking hot. I fell for Katrina almost as fast because she’s absolutely adorable and desperately needed someone like Simon to love her. Plus, they're explosive together, pun intended. The Chronicles of Katrina, originally told in four parts, may be the most fun I've had reading in forever, and honestly, I needed this book right now.

Just a few chapters in I felt I had a good idea of who the two main characters were, not to mention Katrina’s devious, waste of space boyfriend, Evan. Evan is that typical sleazy guy, who is easy to dislike and brings out the desire to throw a punch or two. Simon, without doubt, fits right into the “hot, sexy man in uniform who’s drenched in honor” category. Katrina is the archetypal "librarian" or as it is in this case, the scientist/doctor who’s married to her job with no clue of how sexy she is. But, honestly, whether you see these personality types as cliché or not, it allowed for an instant relationship with each character.

But what really makes this book shine is how Karin Tabke takes the story from one of clichéd characters and erotica and builds it into an edge-of-your-seat, romantic suspense tale. She doesn't show her hand immediately, as the book begins with an incredibly hot, fairly unorthodox sex scene. But as the reader turns the page, the story gradually builds up to the promised romantic thriller while the characters rise above the clichés, slowly revealing their strengths and weaknesses until they’re fully fleshed out people we care deeply about.

I give this one five stars all the way and classify it as a “read again” for sure!

OMG! I'm not even sure that is sufficient to even begin to express my wonder with this book! If you want hot, steamy, full of suspense and action (both carnal and otherwise) this book has pretty much all of it and then some. Katrina has been taken advantage of and deserted by all of the men she's ever had in her life, and she's about to find out that her current boyfriend is no different. Imagine her angst when she finds out that her co-worker of five years, and boyfriend and lover for the past six months, has been using her and that he is married. But before she discovers all of this, he dares her to pick up a stranger and invite him to come play with them. Little did she know, that the stranger will be the one to help her pick up the pieces as her world comes tumbling down around her. Sexy "green eyes" Simon catches her eye, not once, but twice before she boldly walks up to him and invites him to join her to play. Little did he know that when he accepted the invite, he would fall into the arms of the only woman who was able to break down his walls of steel and warm his heart.
Between corporate espionage, demented ex's, dark family secrets and humping like bunnies, this duo will experience so many ups and downs before they can level out their relationship....if it ever levels out.
This is the first of Karin Tabke's work that I have had the extreme pleasure of reading, and I truly hope it is not the last. Even though this is a standalone, I know it is part of a series (Bad Boys of the Bay), and I hope to be fortunate enough to be able to read the subsequent stories. I truly enjoyed Karin's writing skills, her style is captivating and will have your blood pumping furiously as you read about all of the excitement that Katy and Simon come across throughout their journey together.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I'll be the first to admit that I do not lean towards books involving officers of the law. Am I ever glad I did with this one! Simon has me wanting to go on a crime spree just to be in his sexy company and his handcuffs!

We'll start off with Katrina or Kat as Simon so affectionately calls her. She's a brilliant lab rat with many emotional issues. Knowing her past, it is understandable. She has a great career. She has a nice penthouse apartment. She has wonderful caring neighbors. She dresses conservatively in order to be taken serious at her job full of men. She lives a pretty ordinary life...that is until she meets Simon!

Simon is a green eyed delectable officer of the law. He comes into Kat's life in a rather risque manner. He has a string of broken hearts behind him and is a complete man of mystery. His pet names for Katrina...SWOON! There's also this line from the book: "Never confuse me with Prince Charming, Cinderella. I'm the Big Bad Wolf." I was ready to rip his clothes off!

The chemistry between Simon and Kat is electric. There is a shower scene that left me in desperate need of a cold shower! At many points, I wanted to jump in the book and slap Kat for not throwing caution to the wind when it came to Simon. BUT with her past, I completely understood her reasons behind being so cautious. I was completely head over heels in love with these two!

Another emotion was constant when it came to the evil and putrid Evan: hatred. This man made my skin crawl! I wanted blood! He gives men across the world a bad image. I don't want to spoil it for anyone but I was dancing at the end for his just due!

This book had be laughing, crying, screaming, and panting! Karin Tabke has a way with words and makes you wanting more and more! Must read!

So we meet Katrina who is supposed to be a respectable scientist who apparently has worked REALLY hard to get where she is because a field in Science is really an old boys' club. From a feminist perspective, GOOD ON YA, Katrina. But my God, do you disappoint! She contradicts this over and over and OVER and OVER because Simon's so GREAT IN BED. What the fuck. And what is WITH the whole "I'll be your hero, I'll rescue you" garbage? Um, HELLO! Faux feminism much?! You wet the bed, Katrina. Clean up your own fucking mess, so stop acting like a helpless useless damsel in distress who needs Prince Charming to rescue you! And to think it was written in the 21st Century, I'm appalled! Also, I know this is supposed to be a romantic suspense and all, but I am ASTOUNDED by the level of unprofessionalism and lack of moral code of ethics committed by her and Simon. From Book 1, BOTH of them have committed career suicide all for some ASS. God, WHY would they do that?! For love? What the HELL, the first time they met they had a menage a trois! ARGH! And Katrina's supposed to be the smart one, yet she keeps making STUPID dumbass decisions. So she's dated Evan for eight months and all that time she had no clue he was married?! And she barely knows Simon, but the warning signs were SCREAMING that Simon was no good. Oh you know, when Simon wouldn't tell her his LAST NAME. Or when his WIFE called him on the phone. Still not convinced that he's no good? What about when he confessed he KILLED his own brother? Really, Katrina? He keeps demanding that she trusts him but he hasn't done SHIT to earn it. Come on, Katrina. How fucking DENSE are you? The way I see it, they're both losers who deserve each other.

If you are looking for an excellent 5 star read, then this is definitely your book. It honestly is very difficult to write an accurate review to express just how wonderful it is. The book descriptions do a very good job explaining what each individual book will offer as far as storyline. It doesn't mention all the HOTT SEXY fun getting through each book.I do like the box set to eliminate buying each one separately. Superb writing with outstanding characters. You will fall in love with Simon and have another book Boyfriend to love forever. The characters are written so you automatically get attached. You just have to keep reading to know what happens next. The writing style is so smooth and enjoyable. There is absolutely no bland or boring here. Roller coaster of emotions. So many twist and turns- ups and downs. In case I didn't mention, full of so many great awesome Hott scenes. There is something amazing about a alpha male that can also show his sweet tender side. I could go on forever. It really is simple- if you are looking for a book that is worth every minute then this is it. No disappointment in this one. Great author!!! Highly recommend

First book by this author and it won't be the last.

We meet Katrina and Evan at a conference in San Diego. Evan dates Katrina to ask a stranger to have a threesome with them. Katrina has the perfect man picked out. She bumped into him coming out of the elevator and can't stop thinking about him. Green Eyes as she calls him is across the room and they have been staring at each other.

Katrina learns the next morning that Evan is actually married. In her distraught she turns to Simon aka Green Eyes for support. When she returns to her job she is accused of espionage and sexual harassment and not is fired but criminal charges are later filed against her.

Little does Katrina know that Simon is undercover and she is part of the "sting" to get Evan. When discovers this there is so much Simon won't tell Katrina and it's hard for her to trust him. But the chemistry between these two is off the charts.

Will Evan get caught? Will Katrina and Simon get their HEA? You must read to get your answers. You won't be sorry. There is lots of mystery, intrigue, romance and sex.

Wow where to start. Kat is an amazing woman. She is a scientist and is figuring out cures at a company. she's had a rough start until her jackass of a boyfriend Eric bet her one night with a dare only she said ok and made him mad. They were at the hotel and she runs into simon. Simon is an undercover cop but she's doesn't know. She figures out Erics secret and is livid. She hates men and will not ever go to another one or so she thinks! She meets simon again in the hotel and she can't get away from him. He is like a gravitational pull for her and she doesn't know why... A turn of events comes in place and simon is going to protect her even if he has to die trying. Will he open up his heart to her and will Kat accept it? This is a hot and steamy and amazing book! I can't wait for more!!! I'm waiting to find my Simon!

I don't know how many times I have reread this book. Every time I go back I always fall for Simon again. He has his way with words and the ladies. Or maybe it is the way the author gets the words down in the story. I know I will be rereading this one many times over.
This story is so well put together that it just pulls you in and it is like living their lives. Oh well now there is a thought. :-P Dang that will be sticking in the mind. To be Kat... Oh yeah. Uh-Oh I am off the point.
I notice different things that make me laugh or brings the emotions out each time I read this story. I know that when I go back to it again (most likely next week if not sooner) I will find other things that stand out and I love about it.
Kat and Simon have the chemistry going on. Both are stubborn. Bring it all together for one fireworks display.

I enjoyed this book. When you meet Dr. Winslow all shy and sweet I thought Hmm. Then her boyfriend Evan dares her to step outside the box. When she accepts it her whole world turns upside down. Evan is not what she thought and she wants nothing to do with him now. Dr. Winslow goes to work one day only to find out she is being fired and sued. Simon is following her (or so it seams). She now is not sure who to trust or who to turn too. Simon wants to be the man that Dr. Winslow turns to and he is willing to push for it.

Can Dr. Winslow trust herself to make the right choice? Can Simon keep her save? Will they overcome all to be together?

Holy freaking hotness!

Wow, this story is intriguing and fast paced from the very beginning. I loved all the twists, turns, and super sex scenes the author captured perfectly. Dr. Kat Winslow finds herself in an odd predicament and decides to take a chance and try something completely out of character only to find out maybe it wasn't so out of character after all. With one man trying to destroy her and one man trying to protect her while driving her inhibitions to the extreme, this story is a super sexy drooling worthy read. It's action packed and has a great story as well as some incredible sexual elements.

I had read "A Knight to Remember' by Karin Tabke and enjoyed it; it was an ok short story. So, even though I had read the blurb about this series I went ahead and bought it anyway. Wasn't impressed. The main character, Katrina, annoyed me to no end. I got as far as halfway through the third story and gave up. Give this a pass if you dislike simpering heroines and the main male character who is supposedly "so hot" he can't have had a normal platonic relationship with a woman in the past, save his mom...
