From tragedy to HEA love

Married to the Enemy Highlander by Bonnie Kimmons is a fast stand-alone read that moves well between scenes. It has very likable lead and supporting characters, as well as an interesting story. The ending is a happy one, but also it is a bit rushed.

Overall, I liked this book, but I was a bit put off by a few nuisances that seemed out of place for a Medieval setting in the Scottish Highlands.

Content 411: This book is free of swearing, but it does contain two mildly described onscreen marital intimacy scenes. It also contains some mildly described violence.

Married to the highland enemy

This was a very good read. When Mairi and her sister escape their home they are found by her clans enemy, and Iain even though they are enemies took the two sisters to his castle so they would be safe. Iain and Mairi feel the attraction and upon Iain's Uncle Leod 's suggestion they get married. Iain needs a heir and Maori needs a home.
However there is evil that is taken over the clans and Iain will have to go up against him to have a happy ever after with the woman he has.falling.in love with.

A raid on enemies Castle!

Horror is what Mairi and Elspeth found upon waking in the middle of the night to find the castle on fire. They had no way out as the entire castle was
burning to the ground. They found themselves in the library, where a servant told them to jump out to he second floor window. They looked for their
Father, the laird, but was unable to find him. So they jumped. They ran into the woods, to hide. They had heard it was warring enemiles that set the castle afire.
This is a is a wonderful book, that I couldn't put down.

Engaging story of Mairi and her sister who are left homeless and presumed orphaned after a rogue clan assault on their keep.

While trying to get to safety the neighboring clan leader offers them shelter.

The clan leader is intrigued with Mairi, but he feels reluctant as their clans are less than friendly.

Mairi feels something, but isn't sure what. Should she take a chance or find another way to fend for herself and her sister?

An entertaining story of highland politics, intrigue and love.

Good Read,

I've enjoyed the stories that I have read by this author, she is I take it new to the genre of historical romance. I say this because for me there were many thing's and words that were not used or done in that era, I thought the plot was ok as were the characters especially the healer Alistair with his humor. Anyway this is a good read and I do look forward to more from this author.

A Exciting And Splendid Book

This book is full of everything you can ask for. Excitement, Romance, and some
Sensuality. I loved the characters. The only complaint, it was too short. Can’t wait to read another book by this author. I recommend this book.
I received this book free but this my honest opinion.

Great historical fiction

Love the Scottish historical fiction/romance of warring clans and the love that blooms between Mairi and Ian. Of neighbouring clans that are sworn enemies. War, loss and fear rage in this great storyline that turn to love and acceptance. A great historical context and wonderfully written characters. A great read.

Great short story

This is a good story about finding love unexpectedly. Marie was running for her life and trying to protect her sister when their home was attacked. Ian was the man who found them.

Good read

The book was a good read, but too short. The ending seemed rushed. The setting was divine and imaginable. The father should’ve had a little more time spent on him than what was given. You just don’t get somebody back and proof they’re good you know.

Iain and Mairi

I wish I knew how to pronounce Scottish names properly. It's been quite a while since I read a Highland story, so it was fun to dip my toes back in.
