When two rival inventors unleash their artificial intelligence chips on America, a way of life is upended. Battlefields erupt in the most unlikely of places—from farms to libraries to board games whose pieces have a mind of their own.Despite the chaos, stories of hope soon emerge--ones built on love and truth. These are some of those stories.

I’d give this 2.5 stars- It’s not bad, and the writing itself is decent, but the overall stories are just kinda meh. There’s an interesting setup of two rival AI companies that have competing products and the people who use said products, but the intrigue and conflict is very limited. There’s a lot of potential in each story, but almost each one feels incomplete, and the conflicts themselves feel dull. There’s one where some app is getting popular but it influences teens to make a mess of libraries and burn bibles. I find it an odd choice considering the bible is still the most printed book on the planet, and that conflicts against what books should be in libraries right now are largely memoirs, history books, and stories that have lgbt characters, but I digress.
My favorite story of the book is ‘Destination Normal’- It was strange, funny, and it felt like a complete story. Some other chapters also felt complete, but the execution of the conflict felt boring. Others seemed more like vignettes of ideas instead of a fleshed out short story. Overall, it’s O.K, but there’s potential here that’s unfulfilled and left me unsatisfied.
A collection of mostly humorous short stories about AI and the situations they might cause during deployment. Liked this one, it's nice to see humor stories for a change. If you're a fan of humor, you'll probably like this collection.
I loved the intrigue and the good and bad uses of AI chips! All of life are good and bad choices leading to good and bad outcomes. God is the only good, and His outcome is the best!
