"I don't break my word and no matter what happened to me, this world can burn if it means your home in my arms."
Naskar, a master necromancer, fell in love with Datha, a Fae duchess, who died in battle. He promises to revive her but before he can, she makes him promise to find her sister. He agrees reluctantly and after eight years, he finally finds her.
Knowing that now he can now revive Datha, he's determined to find any way to do so. However, the truths that are discovered and revealed bring them closer to understanding why Datha's sister was taken in the first place and bring Datha home.
How can people create such complex worlds is beyond me ! I don't usually enjoy reading these kind of books but it's honestly easy to read plus you can imagine the world so vividly I think this would be a great movie tbh
Doom & Bloom is an intricate, epic tale of fantasy and adventure where is has a great ensemble of characters that livens up the spirit of the reader as well as the current mood one is feeling. Amazing world building that has you feeling like you are actually in the book with the characters experiencing everything far and in between, like a tourist, all the while having you embark on a quest of self discovery and reconciliation of one’s past present and ultimate future. I literally could not put this book down as I got more and more towards the end which left me wanting more out of this series as well as more from the characters I have grown to love and relate to. All the characters are spectacular in that each one has a personality that we as a reader can relate to time and again on a daily basis. 5⭐️10/10 must absolutely must read.
A necromancer falls in love with a half Fae duchess?! Yes please! The writing made you picture everything so well. The book goes back and forth between present time and the past. I personally love this type of book. The spice scenes were spicy! UpChurch wrote this book fabulously!
UpChurch created a beautiful world to get lost into. A world full of love, hope, sadness, and fear. If you enjoyed Netflix's ' The Witcher', then you need to check out Doom & Bloom.
The amount of love I have for authors who create beautiful worlds and characters is beyond me. Datha and Naskar were awesome! Would definitely recommend to those who like The Witcher and beautiful magical systems and world building!
A detailed wold combined with vivid descriptions makes this story so hard to put down. It is mysterious, dark and filled with drama and heart pounding actions that the characters go through. A story about love, redemption and promises made. Mystical realms, fae magic, necromancy, romance and fantasy are all included in this story-it’s a must read.
… Two topics of my utter fan girl self… Necromancer & Fae … Like …. I love this book & would recommend 100% The plot, the story development, the characters all of it. It had me on the edge of my seat ✨😌
So, I think I’ll definitely have to re-read this o fully grasp everything since I didn’t have time to read everything like I wanted in one setting. I think this author has a lot of potential; and I know that there’s a bit of a specific reading order for their books. The storyline itself is really really good; my one quip with it is that the writing style and the flow of the story isn’t something I’m used to, so it took me longer to get through it. If you think it would be something you’d enjoy, absolutely check it out and give it a go! I did receive this as an arc, but everything in this review is 100% honest and truthful; just like it is with every arc I’ve read.
Didn’t even get through chapter one. Story might be great, but I’m not wasting my time with a book that reads like it’s written by a middle schooler. Too juvenile for me but if you can get through the choppy writing style, go for it.
I enjoyed this book! I love how the spice doesn’t take away from the plot but it adds to the story, it makes sense. I love how devoted the MMC is towards his wife 🥹🤍 he would do anything for her. I recommend this book to anyone who loves romantasies!
