Come one, come all to Fun-A-Rama, where all your screams come true…
Ride the teacups. Reach new heights on the Ferris Wheel. Survive the Viper.
If you dare.
What could be more fun than a day at an amusement park filled with rides, games, and all the junk food you can eat? Ronan O’Mara can’t wait to tame the Viper, the parks double loop rollercoaster just like he did when he was a kid.
Psychic Tennyson Grimm has more in mind that surviving the Viper. His brother is in town and he’s looking forward to catching up and spending time getting to know him—while the kids hang out in the pool and have sleepovers at a different house every night.
Content to tackle the tamer rides, Ten ushers his family onto the Ferris Wheel. While stopped at the top, Tennyson’s day of fun is interrupted by a spirit and the vision of a deadly fall from the pinnacle. A fall which was ruled a suicide, but is starting to look an awful lot like murder. The spirit belongs to Kotter Brighthouse, the former owner of Fun-A-Rama, who’d been embroiled in a million-dollar embezzlement scheme prior to his untimely death.
Who killed Kotter Brighthouse? Why? Where’s the missing money? More importantly are there more victims to come?
Sick of the slogging rat-race of her 9-5 job, Pandora Pine put pen to paper (literally!) to make her ambition of becoming a romance novelist a reality. She cut her teeth in the dog-eat-dog world of fanfiction, still dreaming of the day when she would be a published author. She lives in Massachusetts with her blabbermouth muse who’ s a fan of middle of the night plot twists.
In her spare time, Pandora fancies herself an amateur nature photographer. She enjoys mucking around in swamps, hiking through the woods and crawling around on her hands and knees in her backyard seeking out the perfect shot. Pandora is a fan of roadside seafood shacks and always thinks Mexican food is a good idea at the time.
Some of Pandora’s favorite things are chocolate, writing longhand with purple pens and handsome men falling in love with each other.
Don't miss Pandora’s seductive new novel coming soon to an e-reader near you.
I miss the Craigs. I miss Bertha. I don't understand what's happened between the Craigs and the rest of the crew. What happened to what was supposed to be a lifelong friendship between Ronan and Truman? Why are the Craig kids never included in the kids' activities? They used to go on vacations and trips together, what caused that to end? This doesn't feel like there are just too many characters to get page time. This feels more like a purposeful cutting of the Craigs out of the others' lives. Hell, when was the last time Ronan's mom stopped by, or Greeley was involved with the family shenanigans? The feeling of family just seems to be missing in the last few books, and that makes me sad.
I love another new Pandora Pine story. Of course a visit to the amusement park involves Ten and Everly seeing a ghost falling to his death and asking for help. Subsequent visits from him are a bit confused because he is not aware that he is dead. His death was ruled a suicide in 1999 so the investigation was minimal and so was the autopsy report. An important clue was uttered at one point but we don't know it until later. What I love about the later stories is how much time we spend with the kids and this time Ten's brother and wife and daughter are visiting. I love how Kaye has embraced them and it turns out that she had helped him financially and opened her home to the family. Naturally David does not appear. And it was great that Greeley is mentioned twice and that we find that he is now a homicide detective and assigned to an unsolved serial killer case and hints that Fitz might help him out. The solution was very satisfying and the villains were caught. Looking forward to the next story.
I love Ronan and Tennyson. I love the family they've built together. I thought the story was good I'm taking a star for details being explained differently than from other books and I'm still wondering what happened to John O'Mara, but it doesn't take away from the story, but I hate that he just got forgotten. That said. Ronan and Tennyson along with Ten's brother River and wife (let's hope he doesn't disappear) Fitz, Jude, and Cope carry the kids to an Amusement Park only to discover the ghost of the former owner and that carries them into another mystery that holds embezzlement and murder and a whole lot of fun with twists and turns along the way.
While it was fun to spend time with the gang again, the mystery was pretty easy to figure out. What DID jump out at me was the (hopeful) set up for the next book with Greeley’s return and Fitz helping his son solve the case (Please, please, please.) I miss Greeley.
Ronan and Tennyson are back with another ghostly adventure this time set in a theme park.
Whist riding the ferris wheel Ten and his daughter Everly have a vision of the former owner of the park falling to his death from the top of the wheel. He was caught up in a million dollar embezzlement scheme and committed suicide, or so the story goes.
When Ten and Everly have more encounters with the ghost he keeps asking them to help him and leads them to believe he was murdered and so the gang try to solve another murder mystery.
I still love these books and in this one the whole big chosen family and all their kids get to make an appearance! Happy days 🙂
Tens brother and family are visiting for 2 weeks so the gang are loading up the kids and taking them to things to do around the town. One of them is the Fun-a-rama, a recently re-opened amusement park where Ronan used to go as a boy. Whilst at the top of the ferris wheel both Ten and Everly see the death of the previous owner and then guys start to investigate what was previously labelled a suicide. Wonder of all wonders Greeley gets 2 mentions in this book. I am thinking he might have a book coming up, investigating a serial killer with Fits. We will just have to wait and see.
I know that Everly is meant to be an exceptional psychic and all. I really like this plot and I'm all for it. BUT this is too much to be honest, all of a sudden Cope and Ten who solved tens of cases on their own, can't solve simple cases like this!!! They need her in every step???? I've been noticing that for a while but in this one in particular it was very clear. I was excited for Ten to get back in action again, but he gave up easily, he was just not the Ten we know and love (Same for Cope, the guy is a wizard above all that!!)
Every time a new Pandora Pine book is available I drop everything to read it right away. I have never been disappointed. I loved this book. This has to be one of my favorites because the kids were so much a part of the story. I love how we get to know each of their personalities as they are getting older. I can't wait to see what Pandora gives us next.
Whenever there is a new book, it is like you get to see old friends and catch up with them. I have never been disappointed with one of the author's books. They are always well written, and the characters are well developed and strong. Recommend reading--am looking forward to the next book.
I totally love this whole series..each book is just as good as the previous one I love the dynamics of the families and the humour in the books is great..I just hope Therese no end to this series
Dead Fun is fabulous and so funny in places - I was crying with laughter at one point! I was also ridiculously thrilled with the mention of Greeley. Hopefully he'll get another story at some point - I have everything crossed!!!
A trip to the fun park definitely turned out to be more intriguing than usual. I really like watching Everly use her gifts to help her dads solve their cases.
Man, Pandora has done it again. I enjoyed this book but it definitely wasn’t one of the most interesting of the series. Ronan and Ten are back for another Cold Case Psychic book. I love the feeling of family that these books have, and that they’d go above and beyond for each other. I did enjoy getting more of Ten’s half brother River, his wife Barb and their daughter Brooke who were introduced during the last book. While their in Salem one of the days is spent at the Fun-A-Rama amusement park. While Ten, Ronan and Everly are on the Ferris wheel both Ten and Everly see a spirit asking for help before falling towards the ground. The work out that the spirit is of the previous Fun-A-Rama owner, Kotter Brighthouse who supposedly died by suicide by jumping from the top of the Ferris wheel as he’d apparently been in major debt, so why was he asking for help?
Kotter didn’t make their job any easier finding out what happened as he couldn’t communicate very well apart from very brief conversations with Everly. Where are Carson, Truman, their kids and Cole, Cassie and their kids as they’ve also been missing the last few books. I know that someone has to look after the shop and bakery but it feels like they’ve been pushed to the side for some reason? Also I’m still confused what happened to Ronan’s father John since he was in a few of the previous books and he’s just gone now. I would’ve loved to see him interact with Erin’s spirit. I’m looking forward to reading more books from this universe, as well as other books from Pandora. I hope that Pandora will write more books about Greeley as he deserves a lot more page time. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
