Wow what a great story of suspense, intrigue, good versus evil, cross cultural learning, terrorists, impossible situations, love and forgiveness. This story had it all. I was hooked from the beginning. I loved the backstory where the protagonists had to surrender what they wanted most to God and let it go, trusting His ways. That is a struggle for all of us. I also loved the love of family that is a backdrop in all the Wright heroes of Maine books. Family are those people who are there for us, no matter what, and even if tension exists in your relationship. What a great lesson. The story also touched on so many good themes like choosing forgiveness over bitterness, bring holy and honoring God, and digging in and studying Gods Word. Somehow 5 stars don’t seem enough for rating this great story.

This Wright Heroes of Maine is at a whole new level!

In Sheltering You, the entire novel takes place on the east coast of the United States, but there's still an international flair as Jasmine's husband from Iraq is coming to take her "home". Youngest Wright brother Derrick is so in love with Jasmine he can't think logically and agrees to a risky plan to help Jasmine's friend escape her family.

My favorite part was seeing Jasmine grow from meek to confident.

I look forward to continuing the series. My gratitude to the author for a complimentary e-copy of the novel. I was not required to post a review and all opinions expressed are my own.

4.5 stars for this latest from Robin Patchen! This is the 4th book in the Wright Heroes of Maine series, and though this story line could stand on its own, I believe this is best read after Rescuing You and Finding You as the stories merge on several points and having that background is helpful (especially Rescuing You). The author provides enough information that if you haven't, I think you can still enjoy this story, but it is fuller with the background that comes from the other 2 books in their entirety. Of course, it's even better to add Running to You and even Courage in the Shadows. There are some spoilers in this book for those, so if you haven't read those first, you may want to even if it's not quite as integral. This book follows Jasmine and Derrick who connected almost instantly in Rescuing You. This story delves more deeply into their relationship.

Though I'm not a huge fan of the whole "I really want to be with you, but can't because of this great big problem" tension trope (which is why this didn't get a full 5 stars), this one had enough action/adventure, character development and suspense to make up for it. There was a solid faith thread in it as well with themes of holiness and forgiveness included within. There is a point where Jasmine is talking to Derrick about the true meaning of freedom and her perspective about the American view of freedom was convicting to me. I enjoyed watching Jasmine's character grow through the story and how she discovered how damaging both holding secrets can be and her view of herself was. Though I'm also not a fan of when happy-go-lucky characters get broody, I did enjoy Derrick's character arc as well as he ended well. :) Though the trope and broody elements make this one not my favorite of the author's, the writing, plot-line, and character development were stellar as I've come to expect from the author and I still thoroughly enjoyed this read. I look forward to what comes next! Special thanks to the author for an advance e-copy of this book. I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.

"Sheltering You" is a captivating story that beautifully intertwines themes of emotional and spiritual healing with action, adventure, and heartwarming romance. The narrative follows Jasmine, a young woman forced into a harrowing marriage with an older man who treats her as little more than a slave. Jasmine's escape to America marks the beginning of a gripping tale of survival, resilience, and rediscovery of self-worth.

From the moment Jasmine arrives in America, she finds an unexpected champion in Derrick. Derrick's immediate and unwavering love for Jasmine is touching and forms the foundation for much of the novel's emotional core. The way Derrick's family embraces and fights for Jasmine provides a sense of community and support that contrasts starkly with her past, highlighting her journey towards healing and empowerment.

Jasmine's character arc is profoundly moving. Her initial mistrust and fear slowly give way to an understanding that she matters—not just to God, but also to the people around her. This realization is a pivotal moment in the story, showcasing her growth and the gradual rebuilding of her self-esteem. She learns that not all men are cruel, a significant step in her recovery, brought about by Derrick's steadfast kindness and respect.

Derrick's journey is equally compelling. Raised in a large, loving family, Derrick has always played the role of the peacekeeper, a responsibility he took on as a child. Through his relationship with Jasmine, Derrick learns to navigate his own boundaries and accept that it's okay to step out of his self-imposed role. This personal growth adds depth to his character and enriches the narrative.

The action and adventure elements of the story keep the reader on the edge of their seat, providing a thrilling backdrop to Jasmine and Derrick's developing romance. Patchen skillfully balances these intense moments with tender, heartwarming scenes that make the romance between Jasmine and Derrick feel genuine and earned.

This novel delves into the complexities of healing from past traumas, the importance of community and support, and the transformative power of love. Robin Patchen has crafted a story that is both thrilling and deeply moving, leaving readers with a sense of hope and the belief that redemption and love are always within reach.

Sheltering You
By Robin Patchen

Another awesome book from author Robin Patchen. This is book four in the Wright Heroes of Maine. Even though this is book four, it is considered a stand alone book. I do highly recommend reading book two Rescuing You, it will give the background story of some of the characters.

In this book you will meet Derrick Wright the youngest of the Wright brothers. Derrick owns his own plane and flies charters for a living. You will also get into more of Jasmine’s story. You met Jasmine in the second book, Rescuing You. Jasmine works at the Retreat Center along with her sister Leila.

Derrick is drawn to Jasmine, but she has kept him in the friend zone and he is looking for more than a friendship. Jasmine is pregnant and was forced to marry Qasim, a terrorist. Her husband will stop at nothing to get to Jasmine and his unborn heir. Jasmine has not shared her secrets with Derrick yet and she fears she will lose him once he knows the truth.
Jasmine’s friend Basma and her little brother Rabie are being forced to live with their older half brother Dari. Dari is an evil man and Basma fears he will influence Rabie to follow in his footsteps. Basma reached out to Jasmine asking if she can help rescue them while they’re here visiting in the US. Jasmine can’t do this on her own so she asks Derrick for help. Derrick of course, agrees to help her rescue her friends. Derrick and Jasmin fly to Washington. They have a plan and have set things in motion. They attempt to rescue Basma and Rabie and things don’t go as planned. Derrick asked Jasmine to stay in the car while he gets her friends, but she gets out of the car and attempts to help. As they get away, someone is following them.
Who is after Derrick and Jasmine? Is it Qasim her husband, Basma and Robie’s half brother Dari, or their aunt and uncle whom they are traveling with?
Come along on this action-packed and page-turning adventure. I highly recommend this book you will not be disappointed.
Happy Reading!

I loved this book! Jasmine and Derrick had an unusual situation that made for some difficult decisions. I thought the author did a really good job with their thought processes and guiding them back to the Bible and back to what God would want in their decision-making, rather than what each person wanted. I also loved that the family came together and protected each other, as well as any extended family that had been brought into their circle. They loved together, fought for each other together, and worked out their problems together. Jasmine and Derrick had to go through a lot of danger, twists and turns, and turmoil to get their happily ever after, and I really enjoyed the conclusion to this great series. I’m looking forward to the next book that is alluded to in the epilogue which seems to involve another branch of the Wright family.

Awesome read. And I mean that. It needs more than stars. There is so much to unpack in this story. I wondered about Derrick chasing and being in love with a married woman - very slight spoiler - most of the Wright family, including Derrick, does not know.

There is a lot of suspense. And I mean a lot. Patchen really pulled out the stops on this one, though she seems to just keep getting better with each book she writes.

I have liked all of the main characters in this series, especially the Wright brothers. Derrick is the youngest, and different from the others, and I liked he and Jasmine immediately.

Though a fiction novel, the author put a lot of Biblical truths in the book. There were some intense conversations between Derrick and Jasmine that were very thought provoking.....you have a young American guy raised in a Christian home, free to worship God, read the Bible, and pray to that God....and then you have a young woman raised as a Muslim in a Muslim country who had to hide her Bible, hide her faith.....I won't go into all that, but even as a reader I was like "wow." We aren't thankful enough, and we are way too shallow.

The climax of the book was amazing. All of the Wright family - and I mean every single one of them - ended up in danger, all at the same time, all at the same place.......and wow. All of the Wright men - and some of the women - in defense mode....Seriously, what a book.

And the author did a great job of writing a story of a couple in love who should not be in love, and could do nothing about it. Well....nothing she felt was right doing, even though she had been forced into the marriage and was wife #2.

Great ending, and the author even put a bonus epilogue accessible by signing up for her newsletter.....which I already had done.

This is the author's best series so far.

Love Is Blind…. and oh sooo dangerous

Jasmine can be oh so very frustrating…. but that’s nothing compared to her stubbornness. And when a person is so selfish that they only can see one way, it’s easy to see danger can be right around the corner. None of what is about to happen will be new to Jasmine, so one would think she would know to put two and two together BEFORE barging out without a ‘real’ working plan. But no, she’s too stubborn to even try to think before she acts. She’s willing to steal, to lie, to break the law to get her way. And the biggest problem is, she’s willing to endanger not only herself and her unborn baby but also Derrick, the very man who helped her escape the Middle East unscathed.

Maybe, just maybe there’s more at stake here than Jasmine knows and doesn’t even try to find out. Derrick ‘feels’ it but love is blind and he’s not willing to risk losing that love he very much desires.

And what I’ve written above is only the start of this story. If you like emotion, drama and suspense, this is the book for you. Trust me, at times it will be frustrating, having you clench your teeth wondering how one can be so naive, but it needs to be that way to fit the personalities. And, as I said love is blind, but is it so blind that you’re willing to put lives on the line? Love will be nonexistent if you’re not breathing. Thankfully, Jasmine’s faith is strong, that will be important.

So, sit back and enjoy ‘watching’ those Wright brothers in action once again … and I’m talking about action, real heart throbbing action, they never let us down.

I was given an advance copy of this book and freely leave my review.

Derrick and Jasmine are friends, but could it become more? Derrick has developed deeper feelings for the beautiful twin of his brother's fiance. The other family members see it, but does Jasmine? Will she honor the marriage vows she made to her polygamous husband and who's unborn child she's carrying while running from him for her and her unborn child's life?
Jasmine's childhood friend asks for help in escaping with her younger brother from the manipulative grip of their elder brother while they're in the U.S., so Jasmine asks Derrick for his help; but it's an ill-advised and dangerous feat. Will Derrick agree and be able to pull it off? Does he know Jasmine's secrets? What will happen when he finds out? His desire is to have Jasmine draw closer to him. Will Derrick's feelings of love for Jasmine cloud his judgment? "Sheltering You" is a clean romantic suspense with a breathtaking car chase, a home invasion by international bad guys, kidnapping attempts and plenty of twists and turns that will keep you turning pages into the late hours of the night as those Wright Brothers work together to save their family and friends.
"Derrick had always known he had a good family, despite the conflicts and broken relationships. He'd lived his life in fear that he would do something or say something that might harm his family. . . and walked on proverbial eggshells". But "nobody in his right mind would consider the Wrights fragile." The book ends in a HEA, but perhaps only momentarily as the mysterious Dariush Ghazi makes an appearance.
I highly recommend this clean romantic suspense and the entire Wright Heroes series.

Derrick, the youngest of the six Wright brothers, fell for Jasmine the moment she stepped aboard his jet on foreign soil in the previous story. Although she has deep, dark secrets which affect her relationship with him, she has not chosen to open up and provide him all the details about her situation. To her, he is one of a very few people she feels she can trust as a friend. When we she gets an email from an old friend from back home in Iraq, she feels she has to help the friend. Without thinking of her own safety, she prepares to take off on her own. So, come on and let’s tag along for an action-packed adventure to the nation’s capital and other places to be revealed as the story unfolds. Tighten your seatbelts and hang on to whatever you can grasp, because it is fast-paced as they seek to stay alive and free. Derrick plans to protect Jasmine at all costs, and the cost could be quite high. I love the way the Wright family bands together to protect their own, and they consider Jasmine one of their own, even though they have only known her and her twin sister for a brief time since their arrival in the United States. Although Jasmine is a foreigner, raised in a Muslim nation, her Christian commitment and devotion to Biblical principles should put many Americans to shame. Her faith is so strong that she could never be accused of being a Christian in name only. Derrick does not totally agree with her position on a few things but he respects her for holding firm. Readers can learn some valuable lessons from this story. I received an advance copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

SHELTERING YOU is the fourth novel in the Wright Heroes of Maine series by ROBIN PATCHEN and the sequel to Finding You and we come across many of the same characters, together with some we haven’t encountered before. The story is exciting and there is a strong Christian message running through it. I really enjoy the Wright family of six brothers who stand together to keep twins Leila and Jasmine, who they saved from the Iraquis, safe…..
When Jasmine asks Derrick to help her save her friend Basma and her little brother Rabie from their older brother Dari, she does not realise that she will bring danger to his whole family who have been nothing kind to her. She has never been accepted and loved and cannot understand that these people seem to find her worthy of love……
She longs to be free of her wicked old husband Khalid, but is not prepared to divorce him, even though she was forced to become his second wife. She says the only true freedom is in Christ and that Americans tend to take freedom too lightly.
There is betrayal, anger and hatred shown by her pursuers, as opposed to the unconditional love and acceptance she is shown by Derrick and his family……
I am not going to tell you any more for fear of spoiling things for you.
I highly recommend Sheltering You as a nail biting roller coaster ride, with a great story, sweet romance and unforgettable characters. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

This has been an intriguing story with characters who jump off the pages. I liked how the author does an excellent job of using stories from the Bible to help us understand what the characters believe. Getting to know Jasmine was informative to her culture. She has always believed that she is less than. Women in her culture are not respected so she has a difficult time understanding that in America women are treated equally. She is in danger from someone who will do anything to find her.

Derrick has had feelings for Jasmine for a long time. He has been friend zoned but continues to have deep feelings for her. When she asks him to help her, he has no idea that it would turn into a race for their lives. I loved how his faith never wavered even in the midst of danger. He asks his brother for help when he gets in over his head. Finding out who they are dealing with brings in many government agencies.

The story is action packed along with secrets that could destroy relationships. With an explosive story that goes deep into Iraq and its beliefs, our main characters will have to trust God to protect them. Will Jasmine’s secret cause Derrick to change his feeling for her? Can Derrick’s brother and his connections help them escape from those who want to harm them? Get ready for an intense look at greed, power and a lesson in trusting God.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.

Robin is one of the few authors who can write a sweet love story right in the middle of some of the most intense suspense I’ve read. This book has everything I like in romantic suspense plus some life/faith lessons that really had me thinking about God and the choices we each make.

The characters in this book weren’t predictable cookie cutter people but struggled with real issues which made them totally relatable.

Jasmine is from a different culture, pregnant, married to and hiding from a dangerous man. Through all of her experiences her trust in God and who He is gives her the strength and fortitude to make it through her troubles and come out stronger on the other side.

Derrick has become Jasmine’s friend as she’s stayed with his family, but his feelings are much deeper than mere friendship. He sees in her everything he wants in the woman God has set aside for him. When trouble comes knocking will one foolish decision put her in harms way or can he keep her safe? And when he finds out she’s pregnant and married will he lay aside his personal desires for the good of woman he loves?

This is one I didn’t want to put down until the end, it’s that good. I highly recommend it.

In Shadow Grove, Maine, and beyond, things are starting to be harrowing and dangerous for twins Leila and Jasmine. They both escaped Iraq with the help of Michael Wright. The Wright family has taken the two women in and are treating them both like family. Jasmine is a second wife to a known terrorist, forced into the marriage and pregnant with his baby. She takes advantage of her friendship with Derrick, the youngest Wright brother. She asks him to rescue her best friend and her best friend’s brother from an Uncle while they are in New York. This is where and when all the danger begins. Every move, every action made my heart beat faster and had me wanting to look over my own shoulder.
I wasn’t crazy about Jasmine and her asking Derrick for help, knowing what possible danger might be ahead. I also didn’t like her best friend’s young brother and how he put them all in a desperate situation. Some of the happenings in the last few chapters were a little unbelievable to me, but overall it was a good read and a good follow up to the first book, Rescuing You. Waiting in anticipation for the next book in this series.
I received an ebook copy of this novel from the author but was not required to write a review.

When Derrick Wright rescues his brother's fiancee and her twin sister, Jasmine, he has no idea what a nightmare he has just walked into. Jasmine had been forced into a bigamous marriage and is now pregnant and seeking to escape a horrific situation. After Jasmin and her twin have safely reached Maine, a friend seeks her help and Jasmine is determined to rescue her and her friend's young brother, not realizing that she is placing herself and those she cares for in a dire, life-threatening situation. Somehow every move she makes is being tracked but how? Her so-called husband will go to any length to capture her because of the child she is expecting. Derrick has been falling in love, not knowing the truth about Jasmine's situation. What will happen when the devastating truth comes to light? What will he and his family have to do to survive? This is an extremely intense, action-packed book. The author has done a great job of giving the reader insight into a culture in which women are not valued and are treated as property to be used.

I can recommend this book without hesitation. I received an ARC. The opinions expressed are strictly my own.

"There had to be a way out of the friend zone."

Except that Derrick's brother Michael had intimated that,"There's a lot about Jasmine you don't know". Wrestling with his thoughts about the lovely Iraqi woman wasn't getting him any closer to revealing his heart, so when the person in question approaches Derrick with an extraordinary request, his traitorous heart takes over his good sense and he replies, "yes".

What had she been thinking? Clearly Jasmine's plan to rescue her friend from a terrible situation was well intentioned, but the aftermath had placed Derrick, and by association his family and her sister, squarely in the middle of danger they had vowed to avoid. More importantly . . . Derrick did not know everything about her . . . . and whose fault was that? Hers, and hers alone.

When it becomes clear that all the running, hiding, and sheltering was still not enough, things get dicey, the truth comes out, and God comes through. There's no other explanation than that.

What a wonderful, high octane romantic suspense that seemed doomed from the beginning . . . until the end.

I really enjoy Christian Romantic Suspense. Sheltering You by Robin Patchen is Book 4 in The Wright Heroes of Maine. I have been enjoying this series since Book 1 and I was very happy to see this one released.

WOW, this has been an AMAZING series to read and this book did not disappoint. The adventure and suspense started immediately This is Jasmine's story of escaping Iraq with her Twin Sister. She is pregnant with the baby of the man, Qasim, she was forced to marry. She is seeking safety for herself and her unborn baby. Derrick Wright befriends Jasmine and is unaware of her secret and her needing refuge. I really LOVE how Derrick will go to many lengths to keep Jasmine safe and he finds himself getting deep feelings for her. He is unaware that she is a married woman. I think one of my favorite parts of this book is seeing Jasmine really grow in the Christian Faith. Derrick and Jasmine's story has so many twists and turns and the author really kept everything suspenseful. I truly could not put the book down until I finished the book! I also I HIGHLY recommend this book to ANYONE who loves Christian Romance Suspense Novels. GREAT BOOK!

I have given more of Robin Patchen's books a five star review than those of any other author. I would like to be able to give Sheltering You more than five. Not only is the suspense masterfully written, I got so much out of seeing the Christian life lived out and thought through by someone who risked her life by choosing to truly embrace Christ and God's Word. Sometimes we don't treasure things that are so easily come by and cost us little, and we take far too much for granted. This book also gave me an enhanced perspective of the essence of freedom. It changed the way I pray daily for the persecuted church and the type of awakening I pray for churches in America.

Sheltering You would be a perfect selection for a book club with its deep themes and contemporary social issues. I do however, recommend reading this series, The Wright Heroes of Maine, in order to get the greatest understanding and most enjoyment from each book. I am grateful to have received a complimentary copy from the author without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own.

This story kept me turning the pages. It is the fourth book in the series but I’ve only read the second one and this one and I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything but I do want to read the other two books as soon as possible and another one is coming out soon. This is a happy ever after story for the main female and male character but not for the criminals. The next book promises to be even more exciting. This is a clean love story too. Even though I said this book was easy to to follow I am still glad that I read the second book because it kind of goes along with the same character so I recommend that you read the second book before you read this one. This book is about a character learning that God loved her even if she felt like no one else in her family did. This book made me wish that I was friends with a family like this. This family stayed together and helped each other out. I recommend this series.

Sheltering You (Wright Heroes of Maine Book 4) by Robin Patchen is a Christian Romantic Suspense novel. As with other books I have read by Robin Patchen, this book is filled with suspense and storylines that draw you into the book. While you could read this book on its own, I definitely recommend reading the books in order.

Centering around Yasmin (Jasmine), her unborn child, and her twin sister, I wanted a “happy” ending to this book. I appreciated how Robin Patchen developed Jasmine’s faith and willingness to follow God. Derrick and the other Wright brothers provide the perfect people to help protect Jasmine and build the drama in this book.

If you have not read some or all of the earlier books, I recommend reading them to appreciate the Wright brothers and the community.

So, if you are looking for a Christian Romantic Suspense Novel, check out Sheltering You (Wright Heroes of Maine Book 4) by Robin Patchen and the rest of the series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, but this in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.

I thought this was a good Christian Romance Suspense. I liked how we got to see characters from previous books and I liked that we got to know Jasmine and Derrick more. I liked seeing the struggle that Jasmine and Derrick had with trying to understand each others beliefs and how that shaped them. I liked that even when they didn’t understand each other perfectly, they still loved each other and were willing to do anything for each other even when it put them in danger. I also liked how they both learn to trust more in God and that he really is in charge of our lives. I also liked how they were imperfect but were brave enough to acknowledge those imperfections and be willing to ask for forgiveness when they messed up. I liked the suspense aspect and seeing the whole family stand together against the terrorist. Overall, I thought it was a good story.

I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors.  A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

This was the first novel by this author that I've read and since then, I've read a couple more! She has a wonderful writing style that I enjoyed reading and her characters development lures you in! The storyline in this book was especially meaningful because I lived in Saudi Arabia years ago, so I was familiar with the Arabian culture. I knew the terror that Jasmine was feeling. Although most Arabs are lovely people, there are definitely people like Jasmine's evil "husband" Quasim who will stop at nothing to get an heir and could care less about the woman carrying the child. He is the definition of terrorist!
There is a lot of action in this story which is what I loved in this book. I also loved Derrick's family who come to his aid when he asks for help to protect Jasmine. I hadn't read the previous books in this series, but it was easy to see that they knew the capabilities of these terrorists. I am slowly going back and reading the rest of the books and also the ones that come after! It's a great series and is filled with faith, family and choosing the right thing.

Sheltering You is another book in the Wright Brothers Heroes/ Shadow Cove series and follows Derrick and Jasmine. Although it is part of a series, this novel can be read as a stand-alone. Personally, I believe that reading the other books in this series will enhance your reading pleasure. That said, this book is filled with heart pounding moments, lots of intrigue and wrapped up in sweet romance. Just be aware that there is a common thread throughout this series that continues in the next story (Alyssa Wright's book).
Robin Patchen is one of my one-click authors. If her name is on it, one-click and that's it! She writes clean, romantic suspense novels that leaves a reader begging for more with a "right faster, Robin" attitude! You will know who is the villain, and you may guess the ending (HEA), but you absolutely won't know what will transpire in between. Sheltering You is another awesome book in the series and I cannot wait to read Alyssa's book.
RIGHT FASTER, ROBIN!

I must confess I've read this book as slow as possible! Not because it isn't brilliant  but because I don't want the series to end!
Filled to the brim with suspense, family, romance, drama, betrayal and faith!
I love how Robin Parchen is not afraid to describe the struggles in the character's lives, that many of us had struggled with as well! The Wright family feels like, well beloved friends! She draws you into the characters hearts! You fight, believe and share in their struggles and victories!
Derrick and Jasmine is in a battle for not only their lives, but also friends and family's lives! Will they succeed in winning against the darkness of some very evil people? Will they keep their faith? Will they keep their focus and not succumb to the lies of the enemy? Will they realize the truth that all of us deserve to be loved and is worthy because of Who God is? I hope the faith-nuggets impact your heart, as it did mine!

This is another good novel of suspense from Patchen. This one deals with women escaping from cultures where they are not valued and often forced into a marriage where they are mistreated. There are many characters in this novel since the hero, Derrick, is part of a large family. This novel is part of a series and reading the previous books would help readers understand family relationships in this one. Derrick was a bit hard for me to like. He was certainly naive when it came to marriage customs in other cultures.

There is plenty of suspense in the novel, especially at the end. Patchen's writing style does include a great deal of character thought as well. There is a strong Christian faith message, especially seen from a character originating where belief in Jesus could result in death.

I received a complimentary egalley of this book through Celebrate Lit. My comments are an independent and honest review.

Sheltering You is the last book in the Wright Heroes of Maine series by Robin Patchen. I have read each book in this series and if you haven’t read any of the previous ones, you’ll definitely want to read this one. Derrick is the youngest Wright brother, and this is his and Jasmine’s story. As I began the book, I could feel myself getting nervous and anxious for these two and was wanting them to ask for outside help. Once they did, I could read with more confidence, but oh my, their situation didn’t get much easier. There is so much going on in this story and the whole Wright family gets involved. I was in awe of Jasmine’s faith and Derrick is a keeper. Loved the ending and the introduction of a character coming in the next series by Robin Patchen. I highly recommend this author and book.

A depiction of the effects of cultural programming…

“Sheltering You” is the culmination of the twins Leila and Jasmine’s story after their escape from Iraq and their abusive conditions. The Wright brothers and family play a prominent role in their lives offering assistance, protection, love and acceptance. Leila is about to be married but this is about Jasmine’s struggle identifying with her own self-worth and fearing rejection while keeping secrets about her marriage and pregnancy from her very best friend, Derrick, who is in love with her.

It is an amazing story of endurance and personal growth. Religious readers will love it and non-Christians will feel more engaged with the thrilling suspense and intrigue and family dynamics of the Wright family. It certainly is thought-provoking as well as entertaining…I received an arc and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Having been recently rescued from a life of servitude as a second wife, Jasmine finds herself in the unenviable position of asking for help to rescue her friends. Only problem - they are being closely guarded. Is it possible? Derrick, the youngest Wright brother, very badly wants a relationship with Jasmine and is ready to help, but does he have the skills to do so?

There is plenty of action and edge of your seat suspense in this story. Will Jasmine’s child be born in freedom? Jasmine and those around her are learning that true freedom is found in walking with God and waiting on Him to show them the way. How will this lesson affect the future?

An ARC of The Wright Heroes of Maine 4 was received through JDO Publishing and BookFunnel. These thoughts are my own and were in no way solicited.

Sheltering You is the fourth installment from Robin Patchen's The Wright Heroes of Maine series. I enjoyed the previous books and this one is no different. I liked getting to know Derrick and Jasmine and was instantly hooked in their story. It was full of danger, adventure, suspense, mystery and romance. I could not put it down and had no problem reading it all in one sitting.

I am giving Sheltering You five stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean romantic suspense. I am eagerly awaiting for the fifth book from the The Wright Heroes of Maine series, Protecting You, to release. I am curious to see what Robin Patchen has in store for her characters.

I received a digital copy of Robin Patchen's Sheltering You from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
