Second in the series, this book picks up where the first left off. A surprise of pairing Lettie with Aaron and not Callum. Lettie’s parents lives are ended while she is on the phone with them. Turns out her parents were not what she thought but high end thieves stealing artwork, artifacts and jewelry and hiding it away, a treasure trove. Now dangerous people are after it thinking she knows the whereabouts. Callum wants the treasure for personal reasons and tells her he’s her safest choice and can protect her. Not wanting to deal with it and the expenses of her parents home and the painful memories she avoids it. She doesn’t tell anyone including her best friend Blakely the truth about her parents stating they died in a car accident. Blakely helps Lettie get a job as her brother Aaron’s personal chef. They’ve never gotten along growing up but there is an attraction hidden beneath the animosity. Aaron tries to torment her but the fine line crosses to passion. They decide to be “partners “. They get closer than either wants to admit. At the same time Aaron discovers he has a 2 year old son and Lettie’s enemies come looking for her and the treasure.

It was a really enjoyable read, enemies to lovers, action packed ride. It was wonderful seeing their characters grow and fall in love.

Lizzie was a girl who played with men's hearts and had sexual desires. She also had a trauma she had experience in the past. Aaron was a play boy who toyed with woman emotions and only wanted sex, but deep down he needed love and compassion. I like that in the book where I find out her parents were robbers of art and jewelry where after the parents were murdered, everyone was after her for the lost treasures. There was no deny that Lizzie and Aaron were crazy about each other where it wasn't only sex making them like that.Blakely and Hunter are so funny when it comes to situations or conversation between them. Also a very adorable couple. I like towards the end where Lizzie had to figure out the the clue her parents left her and manged to leave one for Aaron so he can find her. It brought me to tears to find out Kimberly had stage four cancer and she wasn't going to be there when Roman grows up. I'm glad Aaron stepped up to be the father that Roman is going to need. If you looking for steamy romance with sister's best friend then you should read it. A friends with benefits story. Action story with treasure hunting and gangsters. I definitely recommend this book.

Best friends brother, no break up, HEA....

Lettie goes to work for her best friends brother, Aaron, as his cook which includes a french maid costume. Aaron and Lettie have so much pent up sexual tension that finally combusts and settles to a "partnership ". A few obstacles present themselves, a unknown child and criminals after Lettie.
A quick read with chemistry and slight submission.

J.L. Starks spurs you to read on especially with Aaron showing his bossy nature and Scarlett will give back to him what he deserves. Great read, looking forward to reading more in this series.

This is a very good romance storyline with secrets, lies, drama, danger, chemistry, and steam. The MCs are defined, engaging, likable, and determined. I enjoyed this entertaining book.
