This is a fun story of how an adopted pup finds a family at the local marina. He helps his boy and the rest of the people who live around the marina, and they help him feel loved by celebrating his birthday.

I liked the bright, clear illustrations. Kids should find lots of interesting details to catch their attention as they read the story or follow along as it is read to them.
