This volume started off a lot better than the first volume, but it started to feel a bit weird toward the end.
I loved Gyomei’s story. It was super cute and it gave me a greater appreciation for his character. In the main series, I felt like he never got his moment to shine and he never lived up to his true potential, so I’m glad that this school AU is showing a new side of him.
The plot twist in the hot springs story was super cute and made me crack up. It was a great way to end the story. Plus, I loved getting to see Shinobu interact with the younger students more.
I adored Tokito’s story because of how many interactions Genya and Tokito had. They’re such an underrated duo. I need more of them in my life.
The problem with this volume came into play with the Mitsuri and Obanai story. This story makes Mitsuri a nineteen year old college freshman and Obanai a high school teacher. I looked it up and it takes less time in Japan to become a teacher than in the U.S. so their age gap isn’t bad, but it still feels really off that a teacher would date a girl who is only a year older than some of his students. To add on to that, it’s also weird that Mitsuri had young students help her pass her love note to Obanai, the young students’ teacher. It’s nothing explicitly illegal or anything, but it felt a bit uncomfy to read the Mitsuri and Obanai story.
Then the bonus story happened and I almost dropped the story out of shock. One of my favorite demons from the original series is reduced to nothing more than a flasher who is (sexually) in love with a train. It’s WEIRD.
Anyways, I enjoyed most of the stories in this volume, but the last two were a bit off. I can’t wait for volume three to release in English later this year so I can continue with this series.
So funny and so cute just a really fun read. Absolutely love this little series I love these characters so so much. Also actually quite touching at points.
The SD (Super-deformed) adventures of this spin off continue in a volume that involves a cat, hot springs, studying and more fun adventures. The way this volume started was my favorite story of both the first and second volumes. Was loads of fun, lighthearted and the most entertaining story by Natsuki Hokami yet (in my opinion). This is not essential for Demon Slayer fans, but you are missing out on a lot of fun scenarios that could never occur, and you get the characters act them out...which is a fun way to continue enjoying the series.
Aku ngerasa intensitas komedinya makin turun sejak vol nya naik, tp slice of life nya dpt bgt loh 🤣 Inosuke yg polos diboongin sama Zenitsu, Genya yg berantem sama sanemi gara2 nilai ujiannya jelek tp minta diajari sama tanjidor yg ranking nya dibawah dia. Tp paling ngakak ya pas Iguro ketahuan tanjidor-zenitsu kalo dia surat2an sama Mitsuri, berujung Iguro minta saran beli kado 🤣😂 Yg lucu juga pas giliran Kanae jaga malam buat exorcism, dia malah bikin kertas mantranya pake mesin fotokopi 😂
It's a fun read. It's also a slice of life of all demon slayer characters, a normal relaxing life of students and teachers. Trio Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu still one crazy stupid trio that I really adore. Even though this volume felt a bit dry for me it's still an entertaining read, lots of funny moments but some stories kinda boring.
I loved most of the stories in this volume and the art is very cute and the stories are very cute as well. My fave story in her was the cat story as well as the love and snake story.
Over all great volume and I enjoyed reading this book.
Like the first, this was very cute and fluffy. In particular, I enjoyed the story focusing on Mitsuri and Obanai, though I definitely wasn't as interested in the stories about Tanjiro and friends (it got a bit monotonous). Still, this was a cute little read.
Natsuki Hokami's excellent sense of comedic timing and superb translation of Gotouge's original Kimetsu Academy doodles into a cohesive story solidified my enjoyment of the Kimetsu Academy series with this volume.
I loved this volume! I think this is such a cute series and it’s such a fun read! Plus this volume had some Obamitsu content that was really cute to see!
I loved this. In general, I just love Demon Slayer, but seeing some of my favorite characters come up more (Genya Shinzugawa, Muichiro Tokito, Sabito) made me extremely happy. I miss them all.
