I loved this cozy "locked room" mystery. Candy company executives gather for a corporate retreat in an old Ozark mountain mansion and get stranded in a storm with no electricity or phone service. Paralegal Charli's boss demanded she attend to take notes and she feels frumpy and poor among the sophisticated well dressed group. When one of the executives is found murdered, Charli is afraid her hidden past will make her the chief suspect. She uncovers several explosive secrets and as the night goes on and the storm continues to rage, Charli becomes more and more afraid.

Good read for the beach or in front of a cozy fire

Trying to escape her past, Charli prefers to blend into the woodwork. But, when her boss drags her to a meeting that turns into a.3-day retreat, she feels like the center of attention in front of a room full of executives. After she literally trips over a body, can she figure out who is the killer before they come for her?
