Not for me, sadly.
I came for a shifter romance and did get that aspect, but it’s instalove in the worst ways. She accepts he’s a dragon and his mate literally instantly with very little questions, despite being a human and never knowing any of this.
This could’ve worked if there was any other tension but it’s so low angst there’s really no plot either. 🤷🏻♀️
Good if you want something super fast and not angsty at all!

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.
Marielle is a college student taking a earth science class. As part of the recent assignment is field study, when her partner flakes on her she heads out into the forest on her own. She runs into Leyton and Evette (book Her Beta) at the gas station. Leyton tells her she can explore on his land after she gives Evette the last pickle packet, Evette is pregnant.
While exploring she finds a cave entrance, she heads inside and on one of the paths finds a valuable stone, a lunar meteorite. At least that’s what it looks like to her. She’s thinking to show her professor on Monday.
Artemis is a cranky dragon shifter, when he notices his lunar meteorite is missing he heads to his cave where he hides his hoard. Imagine his surprise when he finds his mate and it’s the same person that took his lunar meteorite. He has been searching for his mate a long time and when he tracks Marielle down at her campus he’s stunned by her beauty. He approaches her and asks if she had been in his cave, she apologizes and said she had permission from Leyton to explore. He tells her the cave is his personal property and to make it up to him she can drive him home. She agrees. At his place he asks if she took anything from the cave. She confesses and apologizes for taking the stone and giving it to her professor for testing. Her shady professor knew immediately what the stone was and how valuable it was but tells her he thinks it’s just an ordinary stone, but he’ll have it tested. Artemis tells her as his mate she can have anything of his. Mate? She questions, this leads to him explaining that she’s his mate and that he’s a dragon shifter. She handles the revelation really well. Unable to deny their attraction they have sex that night, dual virgins! He doesn’t give her his mating mark that night but does the next day. They confront her professor who was totally going to steal the lunar meteorite from her but Artemis scares him and makes him give Marielle the stone back. More sexy times and I love yous.
Epilogue with two kids.
Would have liked a little action with the shady professor and getting the lunar meteorite back through any means.

Marielle realized in her first semester that she could turn her love of nature into a career by studying geology. Her studies give her a chance to met her mate. She had no idea that a dragon would seek her out after she accidentally steals one's rock. Artemis a grumpy dragon and one of the last of his kind. There weren't many dragons left in the world.
Artemis was jealous of all the shifters who were mated, so he was happy to find out that his thief was his mate.
I had so much fun reading this. I haven't read many dragon romances and these two fit so well together. Artemis was protective of Marielle but he didn't over do it. He just wanted her to get everything she deserved. Marielle accepted him the way he was from the beginning and I loved the way he called her his treasure.
All in all fun dragon romance. I love how sweet these two characters were to each other. Perfect book before bed when you're in the mood for soul mates but nothing with much plot.

This was my first time reading a book in this series.... And it wasn't for me.
Now I LOVE shifter smut and romance but this was just not written well to me.
THOUGHTS:
- Artemis is supposed to be this super old dragon shifter yet he's written like and talks like some frat boy.
- Marielle was a thoroughly uninteresting and blah character and I don't see why they even got together in the first place. The contrast between kind of dumb innocent and how quick they had sex threw me off.
- The insta love felt off to me. Like they just met and had sex, she found out he's a dragon like 3 hours ago and she's totally cool with it. No fear, no transition period, she's not worried about work, friends, family, just "can u give me a few mins before you bite my neck, my vag is sore".... Ok.
- Lastly, the smut was not it for me. She basically bounces on his dick for 3 seconds and they're both coming, no stimulation, no drawn out scenes, they just hit it and come. SUPER disappointing since if the book is not great they usually make up for that with smut. Not the case here IMO

Amazing read from Fiona Davenport as always. We have been anxiously Artemis's story since we found out there was a Dragon Shifter!
Marielle had to go out into the woods to complete a project for her college class. She was supposed to go with a classmate but was ditched so she did what she needed to do to pass the class.
Artemis is upset to realize his rare moon rock is missing. When he tracks it down he finally finds his mate. He has been waiting for what feels like forever and was starting to worry that he would never find his mate. Once he sees her he is no longer worried about the missing moon rock but worried about how to tell Marielle that he is a shifter and that she is his fated mate.

This is book number 12 of the Shifted Love Series and focuses on Artemis and Marielle. I have been impatiently on Artemis to finally get his book and it definitely did not disappoint! He was just as possessive and obsessed as I thought he would be and I loved every bit of it. The dragon shifter had been waiting a long time to finally find his mate. He finally caught her scent after discovering a treasure of his missing and he stopped at nothing to win over his mate. He knew what he wanted and he went after it. I loved seeing the two of them together and for him to finally get his HEA. This was a great story and a great addition to the series!

After being curious about Artemis, finally his story is out.
Artemis didn't expect to finally meet his mate after so many years. All Marielle ever wanted to do is to finish all the requirements that her professor given them, Marielle and Artemis, especially Artemis, that meeting after this event will change their lives forever. Being grumpy to sweet and protective towards to his mate Artemis didn't disappoint me being an ALPHA MALE SYDROME ❤️❤️

I have been so excited about Artemis’ story and it did not disappoint!!
Marielle is smart, determined and dedicated, and just perfect for a grumpy lonely dragon, but stealing from a dragon’s hoard will get you…well a fated mate!!
This was full of fun, bad professors, and lots of spice!! And we got to catch up with some of the rest of the pack!! And little ones are just too cute!!
Hopefully Booker and Garner get their own stories soon too!
Grab a nice cold glass of something but be careful because spontaneous laughter while drinking can be hazardous!

Artemis finally found his fated mate. Who knew it would be a cute little thief. Marielle never knew Geology would literally change her life forever.
I loved how Artemis was grumpy with everyone but her. His one word responses turned into sweet poetry when he met his fated mate. I loved her reaction to his dragon and how she fit in so well at the cave. They truly were the other half of each others soul.
There is plenty of heat as you would expect but what I enjoyed the most was the epilogue with the littles.

Artemis is a grumpy dragon shifter. He's grumpy because he wants and needs his mate. When he realizes his meteorite is missing, he tracks down the scent of his little thief. There's...there's nothing here. There's no plot other than the assumption that a professor is going to steal something, which is solved with vague threats of violence that would absolutely not solve this issue in the real world. There is no romance or chemistry, just insta-love at literally first sight. The sex is very boilerplate vanilla stuff. Him being a shifter or a dragon has no impact on the romance, the story, or anthing else, and he could just as easily be a random rich hermit.
Super boring, overly sacharine and safe, nothing engaging.

Artemis and Marielle were so cute together. The way he would practically growl at everyone but Marielle was the sweetest.
This was insta-everything. Short, safe, and sweet with a little spice thrown in.

If I didn’t already want to read this book, the cover would cinch it for me. I just love the cover art!!!
This book is short and sweet and steamy. I love being back with the wilderness pack. Artemis is the ultimate grump - until he catches Mariella’s sent. The story just flows so well that I was shocked to reach the end! Loved it!

I have been waiting for Artemis’ book and it was so worth the wait! I loved Marielle and Artemis together. This two were sweet yet steamy and I loved them! While Artemis wouldn’t let Marielle out of his sight, he also let her come to her conclusions and her own will to stay with him. I loved this book and I can’t wait for more from this amazing duo!

This is book 12 of the Shifted Love Series and is about Artemis and Marielle. I have been waiting on this story and it did not disappoint!!
He's the grumpy dragon shifter and she's a sweet college student. They are both v$rg$ns and both are lost in the world. They just want to find their home and they both realize that for them home is not a place but a person.

Worth the wait for us and for Artemis

Her dragon was such a cute story. Artemis has always been so grumpy and I was so happy he got his story told, and a happily ever after! Marielle was perfect for him, and Artemis took his protection of her to a whole new level. Such a cute wholesome, steamy story. Loved seeing the other pack members too! Loved everything about this one.

Love these two. Love her easy acceptance of Artemis his ability to shift into a dragon. I love his bossiness,is obsession with her, the way he defends her. Oh and the possessiveness , dang it's hot!! Really great book easy to read with lots of really good stuff!

Okay so normally I don’t read dragon shifter books. I have read some but I tend to pass on them.
Then I saw this cover. It just grabbed me. And in so glad because this was short and very sweet and I loved every minute of it. Now I must go back and read all the books in this series.

We finally get to spend time with the dragon shifter - woohoo. Artemis is so sweet and growly and Marielle is the perfect match for him. Great read with fantastic characters, a little tiny angst and lots of heat.

i saw this on Fiona Davenport’s Facebook page and grabbed it. It is well written and jam packed with surprises, with lots of steam, great characters, starring Artemus, my favorite, a dragon shifter. It is one great romp from beginning to end. I loved it and I’m gladly volunteering this review.

I enjoyed reading this story. I liked that it brought in other members of the pack. I liked the description of his cave. Loved the epilogues, but, it seemed as if it was preparing the way for the next generation of shifters!!!

So glad to finally read Artemis's story. The grumpy dragon finally finds his fated mate. Marielle is so sweet. This was a great addition to the Shifted Love series. Loved the epilogue. Fun read.
